ask4bk:The contract has been awarded and construction is currently ongoing. If you go to the Lake now, its cleaner than before, and ask any of the engineers there or FCDA officials to show you the master plan. He is building Nigeria version of Times square, and Dubai Waterfront fountain combined together at the same place. If you live in FCT you'll know Wike no de do cho cho cho. His workings are showing and the construction there will create millions of jobs and lift people out of poverty |
Why would any right thinking person talk about abandoning a world-class transformation of Jabi Lake when for years it has been left to degenerate with, poo & urine smell everywhere, very dirty water, & very terrible place with beggars littering everywhere. Now that Wike wants to transform it into our own version of Time Square New York and Dubai Waterfront, which is a move that would drive massive job creation across construction, tourism, and retail, significantly boost Abuja’s IGR, increase property values in Jabi and Utako, attract both local and international visitors, stimulate small business growth, improve urban safety and cleanliness, and ultimately reposition Nigeria as a serious tourism destination on the global stage. Yet this Pastor who supposedly hears from God prefers we remain stuck with decay instead of embracing development that creates wealth, improves lives, and changes our national image for the better, abeg who curse us not to like good things? |
U09ce:Very Shocking bro...This level of propaganda. See how he cherry-picked a few “successful operations”. But does that change the fact that Nigerians are still being killed on a daily basis, soldiers being ambushed, and entire communities are under siege. Insurgents and bandits are not losing in many areas abeg, they’re expanding and getting bolder. Imagine the money that has gone to NSA’s office. If the coordination and strategy he's hyping here were truly effective, they should have been decisively infiltrated and crushed within months, not years. Our military has fighter jets, attack helicopters, drones, artillery, mortars, tanks, armoured vehicles, and advanced surveillance systems. The terrorists don’t. So why are they still operating freely? Why haven’t they been rooted out? Until the killings stop and Nigerians can live safely, this kind of write-up is nothing but propaganda. |
MrPresident1:How Nigerians promote and support nuisance like this defy logic. |
Godfullsam:it would be going for 300k. They are stupidly very greedy. I have never seen!. Govt gives them free rice seeds, gives them free fertilizers, give them free water pumps, etc. They still produce substandard rice, and sell at very outrageous prices. How can the imported ones be cheaper than the ones you grow locally here? Make it make sense. |
BrokenTV:IPOB and their imaginative fake news. They've cooked this one up to sell to people to make them feel good. They are still living in their lie fantasy!!! |
Smartcitizen:Dapo na Governor ![]() Dapo Na Kpako!!! |
stuffs2002:Good one bro. Didn't know there are people who could still see the truth and say it for what it is. They are the ones championing this and their voice is so loud. Wike is by far the best FCT Minister ever. See how he transformed the FCT in no time. The land they are claiming he grabs are lands that most people got for free and refuse to develop. The one next to my house in Garki, the woman who owns the land has not developed it in 20 yrs since she got it. People came to lease it for N25b for 20yrs she refused. Wike came in revoked it and gave it to developers who are building magnificent structure their. The construction is employing people, and once completed people will be employed their, thereby reducing poverty and improving the city aesthetics. But IPOB/ OBIDIENTS blinded by hate are looking for anything that will bring Wike's downfall. |
mayor1814:Show us his workings...lets compare with Wike's and PN Mbah |
Efuaye:How do we end up with people like you in our social media space proudly advertising ignorance as if it’s wisdom? This is what happens when poor education meets loud confidence. Look at Dubai, Singapore, and Qatar. They didn’t begin their rise by building shiny hospitals and fancy schools in isolation. They started by building world-class roads, highways, and bridges. That infrastructure made investment possible, which in turn financed and sustained their health, education, and social systems. To argue that governments should prioritize hospitals and schools before building roads is like saying we should install windows before laying the foundation of a house. It’s not just wrong and shows total lack of education. Hospitals and schools are only useful if people and resources can actually reach them efficiently. Transport infrastructure doesn’t compete with social amenities. It enables them, sustains them, and multiplies their impact. Without it, your “modern” city remains nothing more than a cluster of buildings stuck in gridlock and inefficiency just like it is in Lagos. |
arabbunkum:If Nigeria happened to them, tell me what happened to these ones: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/7/14/fire-at-senior-residence-in-united-states-kills-at-least-nine-people https://people.com/four-dead-mothers-day-apartment-building-fire-milwaukee-residents-jump-building-11732797? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c80dljjp0zko Nigeria is not perfect, but the continous de marketing of Nigeria cos your fav is not the President will lead us know where. Ghana and Ghanians are being respected today not because Ghana is better than Nigeria but becos Ghanians are patriots who support and say good things about Ghana regardless of its imperfection. |
Bullfallo:Just fucking rip-off!!! Even my neighbours are complaining, though some of them are Senators & house of Reps members and easily afford it, but common man like us is a big challenge. |
AntiChristian:In my house in Abuja, N100k recharge last only 3 days and its Band A. Its been so heartbreaking coughing such amount on light every 3 days. |
Talismann: ![]() Which kain people we get for here abeg. Bro you are wasting your talent. Just go and start stand up comedy cos you funny die!! |
Goodvibes007:This amount is more than what the UAE Govt used in building Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Imagine if they had invested the money in building such critical infrastructure for us in Naija. |
Sirleo05:Before posting things like this, get informed and understand this: "understand this: infrastructure = jobs + growth." When Dubai and Abu Dhabi were pouring money into mega projects in the early 2000s, that was the foundation of the global city Dubai is today. Meanwhile, in Nigeria, our leaders then were busy with short-term “empowerment programs” instead of investing in roads, power, and critical infrastructure. That failure is a big reason we’re still where we are. Look at Lagos: from Ahmadu Bello Way to Ibeju-Lekki, the busiest economic corridor in Africa today exists because one man made bold infrastructure moves in the early 2000s. Those infrastructural projects created industries, lifted millions into employment, and created new millionaires and billionaires. Handouts don’t build nations. They vanish tomorrow. Infrastructure creates opportunities that last generations. And let’s be honest: why do Nigerians flock to Europe, Canada, the U.S., or South Africa? Because they are developed. If they are not developed no body will go their. Why are Nigerians not going to Honduras, Columbia, Ecuador and the rest? Infrastructural Development is the difference. |
Image123:Bro, I didn't know we still have people who have sense in this country. I thought Obidients have completely brainwashed everybody. This is the truth whole truth and nothing but the truth. Donald Duke developed Calabar to a world class city, built the best Premier Business Resort in Africa then which was Tinapa, and then built the best tourist site in the whole of Africa which is the Obudu Cattle Ranch. If Obj meant well for Nigeria, he would have imposed Donald Duke on us and nothing would have happened. Nobody would have talked. He silenced the powers that be which was IBB. He also knew Yar Adua was terminally ill, so we didn't he draft Donald Duke as Yar'Adua's running mate? That way Duke would have taken over when Yar'Adua passed. But he choose GEJ who did not commission a single project during his tenure as Gov to be Vice President. He simply decided to punish Nigerians with bad successors for rejecting his third term bid. God bless you bro. Give me your twitter handle let me follow you on twitter please. Cheers! |
Osebanjo:He was completely clueless, had zero vision. He is a typical example of who should never be a President. Insecurity started in Nigeria under him including Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen cos he couldn't do the basic of mobilizing the State resources to nip it at the bud. He went to sleep and allowed the monster to grow. He didn't know you need to build infrastructures for the future like President Sisi of Egypt and Rwanda's President did. Thank God we have a President that is changing our countries infrastructure. |
Why are we still deceiving ourselves? The very snake we fed, bred, and pampered has now grown into a monster and it is devouring us and we are pretending its just a teddy bear. Each time tragedy strikes, evil online agenda pushers among us are quick to say “It’s Fulani!” But let’s be honest for once, was it Fulani that kidnapped him from Ntachi Ossa and killed him? Okwulora, my cousin, all the victims I know have come out to say its our boys that are doing this, yet, we keep lying to ourselves because we don't want to hear the bitter truth. Let’s face the truth and call a spade a spade. It is this so-called agitation, this reckless arming of our youths with evil mind, the arms that was released to them by Rochas Okorocha in 2021 is what has dragged our land into blood and fire. Until we admit it, condemn it collectively, and find a pragmatic, rational path forward, the killings will not stop it will get worst. Every day we delay, so many innocent soul are killed by this blood thirsty criminals that are up to no good in our forest claiming they are fighting for biafra and yet you are perpetuating evil against the same people u claim you want to liberate. This guys have no soul or conscience and are pure evil. Tomorrow, it could be you, your brother, your mother, or your relation. My own cousin was kidnapped alongside a Reverend Father. This is a Reverend Father who once stood on the pulpit defending these same agitators and egging them on. They didn't care, as he was severely totured and sodomized and was stabbed and left for dead. Nobody is immune. Supporting them does not buy you safety. The same hand you clap for today may be the hand that snuffs out your life tomorrow. I speak with pain. I lost an in-law in Ozubulu one of their strongest supporters 2 years ago. He was slaughtered in cold blood. And he wasn’t the only one. The list of deaths is endless, too many for me to recount. And yet, we continue this dangerous pretense, shouting Fulani herdsmen even when Buhari, the man we thought we were spiting, is already gone. How long will we lie to ourselves? How many more coffins before we wake up and call it by its name and take over our land? |
lexy2014:Ease of doing business has nothing on the economic reforms!!! Buhari's govt was a disaster we were sure was going to happen. With these reforms in place, in the next 5 years Nigeria'#s economy will be better than all of the African countries economy combined together. |
Why You Should Think Twice About PO as President Obidients don’t care about performance, they only care about putting their man in power. Alex Otti built 5 km PH Road in Aba at ₦7.3bn per km. That’s ₦3.3bn more per km than Umahi’s coastal highway, which is a 6-lane road on difficult terrain. Otti’s is just a 4-lane road on easy ground. Yet, Obidients dragged Umahi but kept silent on Otti. We visited Abia last month, Otti’s new roads are already breaking down. Even Obidients we traveled together with admitted Wike and Mbah deliver far better roads, but still defended Otti with excuses like, “it was worse before.” Yes, it may have been worse, but does that justify inflated costs and substandard delivery? This is blind loyalty. If PO becomes President, they’ll defend him the same way even if he fails, and blame everyone else but him. Meanwhile, the economy is slowly rebounding, but they ignore progress and focus only on bad news to attack the President. Bottom line: Nigeria needs accountability, not fan clubs. We should learn to seperate this from BBNaija. If you excuse failure today, you’ll defend disaster tomorrow. |
Majority of Nigerians sadly do not understand macro economics beyond “how much is rice and garri today,” forgetting that macroeconomics is far deeper covering currency stability, cash flow, debt, productivity, and investor confidence and long-term structural growth. Countries like South Korea and Singapore once endured this short-term hardship we are going through to implement reforms, and today they are economic giants. As a student of Management Science with in-depth knowledge of macroeconomics, I recall how many of us warned that GEJ’s policies would wreck the economy, and Buhari’s tenure completely did that. When PBAT came in with bold reforms though tough initially we that know were sure that this was the right path. Today’s data shows the economy rebounding, companies generating record cash flows, and the naira stabilizing. This is not luck; it is the outcome of a deliberate strategy that has laid a rock-solid foundation for future growth that could dwarf the combined economies of all the Africa countries in a few years from now. I didn’t support PO cos beyond his “consumption to production,” slogan, he gave no empirical roadmap or actionable strategy. To those claiming the economy is bad, you don't know better than Global rating agencies like Fitch, Moody’s, and IMF who now rate Nigeria’s outlook positive. Let’s set politics and ethnic sentiments aside and back PBAT’s transformative agenda as the igbos who control the economy will benefit far better than any tribe once the economy solidifies. |
kedeojo:We need more people like you who knows the truth and say it the way it is without biase. |
bewildered:But if it is Otti that does one tiny km road, you will be praising him to high heavens. |
Immune1:Have you been there? A place you've never been you are already condemning and insulting. Na waaoh for you guys. Same way someone that has never visited Abuja argued with me that the roads in Houston Texas and Washington DC are better than Abuja roads. Try to visit and see 1st before coming out to type rubbish you know nothing of. Your hatred for Tinubu has blinded you guys from seeing the truth for what it is. |
Afrobasic:What do you know Like you have been to the US. I never said Nigeria is better than the US. But you have more opportunity to make it big and break even in Nigeria than in the US. I've lived in the US, UK, Canada, & Brussels, & I choose to come back to Nigeria cos I realized its a lot easier to make it in Naija than this places. I trained my cousin in University of Middlesex in the UK, he graduated and worked in the UK for 4 years with nothing to show for it. I advised him to relocate and open a business in Nigeria, and he started selling building and construction materials in Sangotedo. Today, he has his house in Lagos, and has bought a flat in London. All his mates in the UK are still struggling to pay house rent doing 3 jobs to survive while he's already a boss. There are lots of opportunities in Nigeria as well if you know what you are doing. |
brodalikeme:Go get a life! The same Nigeria is building people's life. Do you know how many people are making it in Nigeria? Or you think its everybody in the USA or Canada that is making it? She is on a special scholarship by UN agencies so her life is on auto pilot. Karen Igho of Big Brother Africa is also in the US. I saw her on queue for a food stamp earlier this year. All her colleagues in Nigeria have made it really big. She's in the USA, and it appears the USA has also killed her life. God can bless you wherever you are and not necessarily cos you are in Naija or yankee. We need to stop blaming Naija for everything abeg. This una poverty mentality too loud. |
Risingblue008:Ongoing Federal Projects in the South-East (2023–2025) 1). 17.55 km Access Road Linking Second Niger Bridge (Anambra Side) A concrete expressway connecting the monumental Second Niger Bridge to major arterial roads in Anambra. This project removes the bottleneck around Onitsha and opens up commercial access for the region. 2). Enugu–Onitsha Expressway (A6 Corridor) 107 km highway under full-scale reconstruction through MTN’s Tax Credit Scheme. As of March 2025, 50–70% completed. Expected delivery: May 10, 2026 (handled by RCC Nigeria Ltd). Includes rehabilitation of feeder roads: Ozalla–Akpugo–Onitsha Nenwe–Nmaku 9th Mile–Orokam Over 60 federal roads are being fixed across Enugu and surrounding states, executed by Arab Contractors, CGC, RCC, IDC, Setraco, etc. 3). Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway (Section II: Umuahia–Aba) 56 km stretch currently undergoing total rehabilitation. Earthworks largely done as of April 2025, with just 2 km remaining and 4 km asphalt finishing. A key North–South commercial artery now being fully restored. 4). Other Major Federal Road Projects Extensive work ongoing across the region: Ihiala–Orlu Oba–Nnewi–Okigwe Owerri–Umuahia Nsukka–Obollo‑Ikem Bende–Ohafia–Arochukwu Abakaliki–Afikpo 5). Eastern Railway Revival — $3 Billion Allocation Under President Tinubu, the long-abandoned Port Harcourt–Enugu–Maiduguri Railway has received a $3 billion allocation under the Renewed Hope Agenda. When complete, this will: Connect Aba and Onitsha directly to the North Unlock ₦50 billion annually in trade and logistics value Modernize transport for millions of Southeasterners and traders For decades, this vital corridor was neglected — now it’s being revived. Unfortunately, our people choose tribe and sentiments over development. Even if Tinubu turns the entire SE into a place more beautiful than Dubai, they will still not like him. They will prefer a Peter Obi as President who will do nothing for anyone in 8 years and have the bragging right that an igbo man is the President, than someone who will really develop our region. For 6 years under GEJ a president the South-East voted for en masse none of this happened. Not one road of this scale. Not one railway. Not one billion-naira intervention of this kind. And yet, loyalty was unquestioned. Time to Think Differently If development truly matters, it should be acknowledged when it’s happening regardless of who is in power. PBAT’s track record in just 2 years shows that leadership isn’t about ethnicity it’s about results. But then hate will never allow my people to see this truth. |
I was very shocked at the scale of development, including the quality dual carriage access road being constructed. This is the 1st housing project in 48 yrs that will beat Festac. The engineering work going on their is simply mind blowing. Don't know why its not gaining media attention. Only a visit their will convince you of the scale and size of this magnificent project. Again, some people will still come here and say na building we go chop? |
pneumatikos:Let me help break this down: Anambra State invested $30 million USD in the brewery project, an amount that was equivalent to approximately ₦48 billion at the time. Today, the value of those shares in SABMiller (now owned by AB InBev) has dropped to less than $3 million USD. This means the original ₦48 billion investment is now worth less than ₦4.8 billion. In essence, Anambra State has lost about $27 million USD or over ₦45 billion. Now that Anambra is earning ₦300 million annually from that investment, it would take roughly 160 years for Anambra State to recover its initial $30 million investment. Tell me how that type of investment makes any sense!!! |
