Agriculture › Re: Who Can Recognize This Plant? by Gidigidi3(m): 12:08pm On Feb 05, 2016 |
In place of antibiotics, I use garlic, pawpaw leave, aloe vera, moringa leave nd guava leave. I grind them together sieve out the water and mix with the drinking water of my birds. Then soak the pulp in water and do same again the following day. I do this once a week, and they look agile and healthy. Got this info from this NL, I do broilers though. |

vanpeele: @macklef LOL. It musn't be plenty sacks. You can have 5 or 10 in your house. Just plant your favorite crop. When it matures you won't need to go to the market to buy. Saves you small change.
@HomeOfMe sack Farming is basically planting in sacks that has soil in them instead of open ground.
@plonuh Get a sack, pour in suitable soil mixed with cow manure (NEVER USE CHICKEN MANURE) and plant any crop you like.
@Khalhabs Go ahead Please what issue does chicken manure has, bcus that is what i intend to use. I hv aboundance of it from my poultry. |
Agriculture › Re: Broilers Feeds And Concentrate by Gidigidi3(m): 9:39pm On Jan 18, 2016 |
Saheedadedeji99: I formulate both feeds and concentrates. By formulating your own feed, you have the opportunity of giving your birds the best at a cheaper price. e. g, producing your super starter feed of 23%cp at the cost of N2450 to N2500 per bag and a starter feed of 21.5%cp at N2300 maximum. By feeding your birds the super starter, your quality day old broilers will attain a table weight of 2kg-2.5kg at 6 weeks having applied a good management. let me stop here for now. Great info, where is ur location cos I will like to learn practically. |

This man is Ken saro wiwa, His full name is Kenule Saro nwinwa. (He denied the Igbo roots of his fore-fathers by twisting his name). He sided and sabotaged the biafran struggle during the civil war so much so that till death he lived in one of d "abandoned" properties of biafran Igbos which they confiscated. So was his loyalty that he was compensated with juicy appointments after d war. He was to soon realise his folly and that of his ilk and went into activism against same people he supported in conquering his father's land.(the hausa-fulani). They killed him for daring to challenge his masters. (Ojukwu replied him with the great "Good morning" for waking up in d evening) Such was the greatness of the man "we" celebrate. From his sabotage to his activism and till today, what has changed? As we reflect on his life, I enjoin my brothers from delta area of south east, (south-south is a tautology of housa-fulani divide and rule) that today is still "Good Morning". |

pcoolioz: yes I did, the plan is a program I was given by a vet who raises broilers, they stop drinking when they are weak, the liquid food only works if they still eat or drink, it would only work if I decide to force it down its throat or smtn.. I read somewhere on this agric section of a herbal remedy for sick birds, since i did not want to introduce any form of antibiotics, I tried it and behold it was a magic!!! "Vmix" has ARRIVED for me @fnk. (Pawpaw leaves, guava leaves, ginger, aloe vera & moringa leaves) I couldn't get moringa leaves though. I pounded them, squeazed and mixed the water for them, by morning they where all running around looking for food. As a first timer it is an eureka. Hahaha. Try it and you will not regret it. Thanks to Nairaland for my success. |
