I don't use diesel. We rely on PHCN although the site location gets at least 8-10hrs (daytime) of light. I can crush 300 bags (24tons) in a week of six days (excluding sunday) if there's steady light without the usual interruption. That will give you an average of 4tons/day.

To attain full production you need constant light. If you run the business at this level and with local machines using Generator, you'll be struggling to break even if not posting loss.

Good job! Make sure you use automated drinkers, It makes things easier. If you live away from farm, increase the numbers to at least 1k so as to cover op costs and make profit

I am just preparing to get my stock of broiler birds, and in the process of my findings am a bit scared of how I will eventually sell my birds. Just like somebody mentioned above, a market man said he will buy them at 900, which is not good at all. Am in Abuja, pls do anybody know where to get good market? Dat is wat am going through now. Price of Every other thing in d market has gone up but not broiler. Price of feed, day olds, drugs nd transport has gone up. How can one do 7wks broiler at 850 and sell at 900? Its no biz. My candid advice to you is to do layers for all yrs round nd do broilers for festive seasons. DO NOT BURN YOUR CAPITAL ON BROILERS, unless you hv very deep pocket, den try.

More grease to ur elbow. As some one already said, go and get charcoal cos the whether is cold, lest ur birds die off from cold nd stamped. By the way am here at Awka nd run mine as well.
