ADO-EKITI—Hausa
community in Ekiti State has
appealed Governor Kayode
Fayemi to consider members
for appointment in his
cabinet to make the group
have a sense of belonging in
the state.
Operating under the
umbrella of Arewa
Community in Ekiti State, the
group argued that most of
its members were born in
the state, while others have
been resident for between
30 and 40 years.
Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the
leader of Hausa Community
in Ekiti, Alhaji Adamu Lima,
urged Fayemi to emulate his
colleague in Lagos State, Mr
Babatunde Raji Fasola who
appointed non indigenes
into his cabinet.
He condemned the level of
carnage being perpetrated
by members of the Boko
Haram sect and called on the
group to shield their swords
in the interest of peace.
The community reminded
the governor of the promise
he made in 2007 during his
electioneering campaign that
he would consider members
for political appointment if
he became the governor.
The group recounted of
members positive
contribution to the
development of the state,
saying a political
appointment would further
cement the already cordial
relationship existing
between them and the state
government

@arusi okija & hugohoi, the secret to rochas success is not really how much he is recieving from federal allocation, nor imo igr. According to him, imo now saved more than 1bn every month 4rm ghost workers and other questionable expenses during the last administration. So with this, tell me how he cannot pay 20k.     @eko ile i laugh when people say rochas does not have vision. Rochas  #1 priority is education, and he has been doing just fine in that area. Before now imo student (in secondary schools used to pay 21,000 per year, and ohakim wanted to increase it to 29,000.) so the free education thing is a huge relief to poor parent who may have up to 2,3 or 4 kids in secondry school. Imo state govt has entered into an agreement to construct 15km road each in all the 27 local govts in imo state.just last week, the  govt award the contract to build 305 new primary sbhools(1 in every inec ward) whìch will be Europian standard. He has just made the state university a multi campus school and work is ongoing at the new sites in orlu and okigwe. The imo college of advance professional studies is under construction, and will be finished very soon. So what do people want this man to do, is he  going heaven on earth before people will believe he is doing something.

Robber rapes pregnant woman

A 20 year old robbery gang
member Seyi Lawson who
specializes in raping female
victims of the gang operation
has been arrested by the Ogun
State Police Command, and
currently singing like Kennery
birds in detention
The suspect, who is a secondary
school dropout now in custody
at the Eleweran Police
Headquarters, Abeokuta, was
identified as part of a robbery
gang terrorizing innocent
residents of both Ogun and
Ondo States.
Next reliably gathered that,
nemesis caught up with him
after raping a housewife with 2
months pregnancy, when his
gang invaded the home of their
victim Adekola Ibrahim in Abiade
village in Abigi area of Ogun
State.
The gang having robbed the
household the sum of N138, 000
and three mobile phones, the sex
addicted suspect added a new
dimension to the operation as he
mounted on the woman and had
sexual intercourse with her.
Ironically, while Seyi Lawson was
having sex with the woman, his
gang member held the husband
hostage in another room, and on
completion of his sex urge, the
robbers bolted away, until few
days later when luck ran against
the gang
However, on October 1, 2011
luck ran against the gang, as two
of the suspects were
apprehended, and following
further intensive investigations,
the arrest of two suspects later
led to the arrest of the rapist
robbery suspect.
Other gang members in police
net as at weekend according to
authentic sources reports that,
other gang members include;
Tunde Bola, Taiwo Adefuwa,
Ganiu Taiwo and Anifowose
Sunday.
When Next spoke with the rapist
robber from his detention he
confirmed raping the woman,
but said he was not aware that
she was pregnant, adding that it
was devil that pushed him into
the act. He said he did not use
condom during the sex.
‘It was true I raped her, but I
didn't know that she was
pregnant, it was devil that
pushed me into it, I did while
one of us held her husband in
captivity, but when we heard
shout of thief, I hurriedly left her
before we bolted away' the
suspect told Next.
Meanwhile, when contacted
Commissioner of Police, Nicholas
Ndemkem confirmed the
incident, adding that the
suspects on completion of
investigations would be charge
to court.
