The plan was that Apc would be deceived into accepting the G7 and handing control of some states to them. The G7 will pretend to be with Pdp and take absolute control. Then the bombshell - the G7-turned Apc will show their true colours by "reconciling" with Pdp.
The plan failed because political tacticians in Apc saw through the ploy and chase the G7 back to where the came from.
