ksstroud:Thanks sir |
What of we who haven't served? @ ksstroud |
Interesting. Please let's read and apply to our lives and not just read through alone. |
Ymodulus:081*** Thanks. |
Ymodulus:Hello bro, my PMs are getting countless, please I do need to speak with you. Thanks. |
Shinaf, this is indeed a nice analysis, nice enough to help good thinkers in deciding what types of business will sell best |
Ymodulus:I sent you a PM and I am still expecting a reply from you. That same username has contacted me and we've had some correspondence. I mentioned the disparity and he told me he had a problem with this username. We discussed some business, but I have decided I was going to ask him to make a post about it here before I finally give in. Thanks to God. I sent you a PM, and please I am still expecting your reply since that one happens to be fake. |
Ymodulus:Hello bro. Please, I need to speak with you. I sent you a PM. Thanks |

Secondly anytime I try editing the tp from manual scan and I enter the new frequency, I get an invalid frequency message, and it's impossible to edit it from the dish setting menu. Please I need you guys assistance on tracking it. I'll be grateful.thanks |
segzeeboy:How about Kogi? |
Hmmmm, read from page 0-25, no December 17th |
sariu11:How long is the training going to be? And are you already briefed on what you are being trained for. Thanks. |
Interesting |
I hope it won't be a great offence missing the time one is scheduled for ( I mean coming late) I have about 4 hours of journey now, and I am scheduled for 9am! Please who got a call from them? |
I was just called by them now to ascertain if I'll be coming. Please is anyone sure of what the training is about |
Same here, someone on another thread said they are recruiting for a certain one year training program. Any one with an idea on this? |
Oluwaskilashi:Please do you know anything about this new training? It ain't easy spending so much on travelling over there only to discover it's something one isn't interested in. Thanks |
teekem:Please when are you resuming or have you resumed? |
sasquareT:Kogi state polytechnic |
And it's really funny that outside the scope of Nigeria, this career is trending and in fact everywhere even in countries with less mineral endowment when compared with Nigeria. |
sasquareT:I live at Kabba. It'll be nice to know you too. Thanks You finished from which school? |
raayah:Thanks, actually waiting to begin NYSC. Thanks once again |
Here and there on this forum we've seen and read posts relating to so many career paths. We see threads on Job vacancies, professional certifications, career progression techniques, training on related software's etc.on several disciplines (even the most remote). It's daunting and surprising that I have found almost none targeted a yet mining engineering or engineers. Even where you find one on geology and mining, you end up finding everyone on the thread professing to be geologists. Are there no mining engineers? I'll take No for an answer. Are there no jobs for mining engineers? I doubt that too Maybe we don't just know how to use the web? It should be a big lie Are we just too busy with work? Bankers should be busier. It's a truth that when you study mining engineering, there is a focus more on the working of solid mineral deposits, but going through the curriculum shows that we do bits and pieces of all basic engineering fields( I mean enough to make us relevant even in such fields). I therefore can't fathom any ineptitude in our training system. It's then alarming that you see that adverts (even from the oil and gas sector - a relative offshoot of mining) rarely or don't post vacancies for mining engineers. The Nigerian system of revenue generation has neglected the solid mineral sector, missing the rather consistent and juicy revenue that would have accrued from this sector. Is solid mineral mining dead? No, I know of a few big names as Dangote and few other quarries, but I don't seem to come across these mining engineers or anything related to them. I know we are few, as only one university and about three polytechnics offer this course, Bit where are we? Mining engineers on this forum, Please where are you? What is happening? Are there no Jobs? Is the country's environ that hostile? I'm curious coz asides the money therein, I have a passion for engineering and mining in particular - probably because of its rugged and extremely demanding nature. Note A young and recent graduate of mining engineering, waiting for NYSC. But while I wait, I'm hoping for either an intern, training in mining specific software's, but nothing in sight. I'll appreciate any help. Thanks. Please mods, I'll appreciate if this can be moved to the front page, even if not for the content, at least for the possibility of better inputs and information from experienced personnel. CC Lalasticala |
I'm surprised at the fact that I can't seem to find mining Engineers on this thread or even on this forum! Please, what's happening? If you are a mining professional, please do come forth and spare us aspiring ones the fear created by the vacuum of your absence |
bidexmimi:Please, what's the contract like? Thanks |
bolinchin:Sorry for the late reply, things were a bit tight. I don't know if its still needed. Idofin is not in the midst of the main isanlu. If the car is stopping at Isanlu, u can take a bus(agolo) or a bike to idofin. But if the car is going towards yagba west area like egbe, ejiba etc. just inform the driver you're going to idofin, and you will be dropped there. Its just a few minute after the main isanlu town. |
bolinchin:Take a bike from within kabba to Isanlu park. It is located about 500meters from the location of first bank, it's along that same path. Kabba to Isanlu costs 700 naira at the park. Isanlu is one hour drive from Kabba. I'll modify my post to include the direction of the place you mentioned later. |

If you're getting to Okene before Lokoja- I don't know which route enters Kogi from Abia. You are to stop at Okene. Depending on where the Bus is going, the normal stopping point or bus stop in Okene is at Total filling station. Total is situated at a 'T' junction. Opposite it is GTB, on the other free side I.e the right-side while facing it from GTB, you have the bus stop. Which is across the road, where you can get a car to Kabba. 350- 400 naira OR If your bus is going to Lokoja, you can drop at Kabba junction if it's passing through the town - but this can be difficult if the driver doesn't know the place as there are two Kabba junction, one in Okene and the other very close to Lokoja, and there are two routes out of Okene- one bypasses Kabba junction. Here we're going through the one at Okene. You can also take a bike from Total to Kabba junction(50 naira). The park at Kabba junction is situated beside a filling station. Just tell the bike you're going to Kabba park at Kabba junction. It's 300 naira to Kabba. It's faster getting a car here than at Total. NOTE- Do not board a car from any where else asides these two places, although you can get elsewhere, but its dangerous since you're still a JJC. |
Harinholar:There's no ATM at the camp. My advice Get the money you need at Kabba before going into the camp, although this can be stressful at times as only First bank seems to be fully functional for now in Kabba, and it serves the town and neighboring communities - think of the congestion. Coming from where? If you're passing through Lokoja, you might consider withdrawing from there before heading to Kabba, but it's a risk travelling that route with much cash- God will protect you guys. There's no salary now, so congestions' has reduced, you might not mind spending between 30 minutes to 1hour to get your money at Kabba. Whatever, just pray and God will make things work out well |
donkazy:Kabba where the Asaya camp is located is about 1hour 30minutes drive from Lokoja. Asaya is about 10-20 minutes bike ride from Kabba. Where are you coming from? So that I can be specific on my answer to your question if I know where you'd alight. From any where in Lokoja, take a bike or cab to ostrich- the one beside Yisab aortel office or tell the chauffeur your going to Firstbank at Ganaja junction. Kabba bis stop is on the left of the First bank at Ganaja junction. Ostrich is opposite the bus stop. NOTE- there are two to three branches of first bank in lokoja, specify that you are going to the one at GANAJA JUNCTION. |
