To the grammarians: Both "Tie a tie" and "knot a tie" are correct.
The first has been explained rightly so I'll go to the second.
Knot is a noun, the Tie is also a noun, but the full transcription of "knot a tie" means put a Knot(noun) on a tie(noun), so the noun knot shouldn't be translated into a verb referring to the process of tying a tie, but that of placing the knot on the tie, you're to view it as something being added to another. You change it into a verb by adding 'ing' I.e knotting a tie- which shows an ongoing process.

They told you the truth. I have phones with both OS, and I can't imagine saying my android is better, that'll be a lie.
Of course the windows phone has it's limitations like the issue of not having as much app as you have for the android but I bet the windows experience is far better when you get used to it. You'll get the necessary apps you need(most people just complain about numbers of apps, but you'll be surprised at how little the ones they put to use). It takes time to adjust if you're coming from android but I can bet you won't regret it.
Buy a Microsoft Windows Phone if you are getting one.

Really can't just ask you to do a certain thing, but I'll advice you do what's convenient for you, probably leaving it till your final year when it will be better as you can postpone your NYSC.

By the way, I don't know if you're so bent on having a BSc, I don't really know the course you're applying for but why not go do your PGD then MSc? I can't waste that much time(4 years again) on a course I have spent 5years doing in the polytechnic. Go for your masters.

Also subtract 1 from 3 and u get B+X=3 which contradicts B+X=16.

Its surprising I am just knowing this about 1 and1, I registered a domain with them two days ago and was surprised to get a mail from them hours later that I modified my contact information, which I didn't do, something like;
