menama:
A former CBN Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, Capital Oil boss, Dr. Ifeanyi Uba, Sen. Uche Ekwunife, and ten other aspirants have indicated interest to contest for the All
Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.

Mr Emeka Ibe, Chairman of the party in the state, made this known to newsmen on Tuesday in Awka.

He stressed that there would be no automatic ticket for any aspirant, adding that they would all participate in the state`s primaries to emerge as candidate for the election.

“We will give all aspirants equal playing ground. There is no special interest in any aspirant.
“We will hold transparent primaries for them because they are all qualified to unseat Gov. Willie Obiano.

“Any of them who emerges as our candidate in the state is capable of removing Obiano from office,’’ Ibe said.

He added that the party would embark on continuous membership registration exercise before the end of the month to accommodate those who want to join in the state.

Ibe, however, said that anybody with criminal records would not be allowed to join the party in the state.

He maintained that there was no zoning arrangement in the party, adding that new members would have equal rights as old ones.

Others, who indicated interest to contest the APC ticket include: Chief George Muoghalu, Chief Barth Nwibe, Mr Obinna Okonkwo and Chief Paul Chukwuma.

Others are Dr Chike Obidigbo, Chief Raph Okeke, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, Chief Tony Nwoye, Sen. Uche Ekwunife, Sen. Andy Ubah, Chief Obinna Uzor and Prince Donatus Okonkwo.

Denel like in the late 90s(when the UAV market was still dominated by a few countries) is again fast asleep!!

Proliferation of active protection systems is inevitable.

Main battle tanks can't absorb modern ATGMs hits. This should have galvanized Denel and Saab to invest massively into to the LED-150 system and marketing it more aggressively.

Boko Haram: How poor Borno residents connived with terrorists during Jonathan’s administration – Shettima

The Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, has alleged that some poor residents of the state connived with Boko Haram insurgents to frustrate the efforts of the military during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan.
Shettima who doubles as the Chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum, NSGF, made the revelation in Kaduna.
According to Shettima, poor residents of his state would receive money from the terrorists to give information that will compromise the military.
He said, “Poverty, Poverty and I say again, poverty, is to many of us, the number one monster dragging backward, our Northern Nigeria.
“For instance, in June, 2013 (while President Jonathan was in power), we recorded a good number of extremely poor persons, who were recruited for as little as N5,000 to either spy on soldiers and report their vulnerability to insurgents, attack and set schools ablaze by late night or in some cases, poor old women were paid similar amounts by insurgents, to either keep arms in their huts or smuggle arms from one point to another.
“One case I always remember is that of one Musa Grema, a 13 year old boy who revealed that he accepted N5,000 to set three of our primary schools ablaze and also spy on soldiers, because his parents relied on him for their feeding.
“Some may argue that theirs are societies with common tribes while ours in northern Nigeria, is the multi-ethnic reality of the African mix, as some researchers call it. This African-mix is ordinarily a comparative advantage and we can make it so.”

IMO AIR KICKS OFF; ACQUIRES BRAND NEW AIRCRAFT

Imo State is set to become the first State in Nigeria to own and operate an airline company operated by Dana Air, as the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha leads his appointees and stakeholders in the State to take delivery of the first batch of aircrafts at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.

The carrier named "IMO AIR" is billed to hold its own against other operators in the Nigerian aviation sector while providing enhanced revenue for the State, massive employment for Imo citizens and business opportunities for Imolites and Ndi Igbo in general.

Also in the offing is the Imo International Cargo which targets to open the Southeast up to importers and exporters of all kinds of commodities, thereby reducing the over reliance on Lagos, Kano and other international airports for the export and import of goods into the country. This initiative is no doubt a boost for the Southeast economic liberation struggle. According to the Governor, the cargo aspect of the "IMO AIR" initiative will take off by April, 2017.

Seeing the statement confirms the Navy SBS were deployed, then presumably the NA contingent were also SF. Do you then expect eo see pics of Special Forces out patrolling the streets? Absence of evidence does not denote evidence of absence, especially when SF is involved.

Why will a University in a secular state ban freedom of Religion in school and publish their bias for all to see.

I make bold to ask, Is Nigeria an Islamic State?

Before you answer? Note. Every Federal government agency in Abuja has an original in-built mosque from inception. Name them-CBN, SEC, FIRS, University of Abuja, PTDF, FCDA, Federal Secretariat etc.

Aso Rock villa was modelled After Moroccan kings palace. With 3 standard mosques.

OBJ built a chapel in 2004 and All hell was almost let loose.

Now a university issues a memo making it obvious
secular state indeed.
