The images you see above is exactly what happened to twitter user @DuchessAnnie after she moved into a new apartment two years ago.

According to her tweets, she got the place, paid for it and set it up to her taste. Four months into her living in the apartment, the ceiling gave way with the debris from the decking falling in her apartment.

General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Adeshina Tiamiyu, has said there is no casualty left under the debris of the collapsed building on No. 63 Massey Street, Ita-Faaji area of Lagos Island.

Tiamiyu, who spoke with newsmen at the site of the incident on Thursday morning, confirmed that all casualty trapped in the collapsed building have all been rescued.

“We stopped work at 3: 00 a.m after recovering the lifeless body of a male and we are sure there is no casualty left under the debris”

He, however, said LASEMA cannot confirm the total figure of casualty rescued from the building, saying the ministry of health would release the accurate figure later in the day.

A three-storey building, located on 63 Massey Street, Ita Faaji area of Lagos Island, collapsed on Wednesday, during which ten persons, including four pupils, were feared dead.

It was gathered that the building, which housed a school, Ohen Nursery and Primary School, and residential apartments, caved in around 10am.

The General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Adesina Tiamiyu, who spoke with journalists at the site of the incident on Thursday morning, confirmed that all casualty trapped in the collapsed building have all been rescued.

Tiamiyu said, “We stopped work at 3am after recovering the lifeless body of a male and we are sure there is no casualty left under the debris.”
