Twelve Nigerians were among 14 foreigners arrested by Malaysian Immigration Department this week when its men busted an illegal online gambling operations at a condominium in Kajang.

The gambling operations were manned by two Chinese. Immigration director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud said the team found two Chinese nationals in one of the units and seized six laptops, 18 mobile phones and 19 hard disk drives.

Khairul led the operation comprising the police, as well as officers from the Malaysia Civil Defence Force and the National Registration Department. “One of the men was without any documents, while the other was found with an expired social visit pass,” he said after the operation conducted between 12.30am and 2.45am on Saturday (Oct 5).

The case has been handed over to police for further investigations, reported thestar.com.my Khairul said that during the raid, some of the Nigerians tried to flee by jumping from windows while others remained quiet when they were asked questions.

All 14 will be brought to the Immigration detention depot in Bukit Jalil for further investigation under Section 6(1) and Section 15 of the Immigration Act 1959/63 for not possessing legal travel documents and overstaying.

The police on Wednesday arraigned a 25-year-old tenant, Mirabelle Nwagu, in a Zuba Upper Area Court, Abuja for allegedly biting her landlady on her arm.

Nwagu who resides at 51 crescent, 5th Avenue Gwarinpa Abuja, is charged with two counts of causing hurt and criminal intimidation.

The prosecution counsel, Mr Chinedu Ogada, told the court that the matter was lodged at the Gwarnipa Police Station, Abuja, by the complainant, Ms Lovely Ukachi, on Sept. 22.

Ogada alleged that at 8. 15 p.m., Nwagu brought a dog into the complainant’s house without her consent.

The prosecutor said that the defendant attacked and bite the complainant during an argument over the dog.

The prosecution said that offence contravened the provisions of sections 240 and 396 of the Penal Code.

Nwagu however, pleaded not guilty.

The Senior judge, Alhaji Gambo Garba, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

Garba ordered that the surety must have a reasonable means of livelihood and must reside within the jurisdiction of the court

He adjourned the case until Sept. 27 for further hearing.

Tacha discussing her problem with other housemates to Ike.

“When you talk about me, you clout,” Tacha yelled across the bedroom as she reacted angrily about Sunday night’s Live Eviction Show which birthed the chat with Ebuka and the Pepper Dem Gang.

Ike being Ike was standing at the door, laughing about what Tacha was shouting about. “If you have a problem with me, tell me and stop gossiping,” Tacha further exclaimed.

Tacha eventually revealed the cause of her screams, as she opened up to Ike.

Basically, she was of the opinion that the Housemates all trended on her name this week.

According to Tacha, Ebuka asked the Housemates some questions during his table shaking session and for some reason, they all seemed to have her name in their mouths.

From the mixtape fight with Omashola to the fight with Diane after the red box was missing. Although, Biggie had warned the housemates that there will be punishment for negligence with the red box but it seemed Tacha’s reaction went out of place for some of the housemates.

Tacha seemed to be the highlight of the week. She didn’t quite understand that and for that reason, did not fail to voice her feelings to whoever cared to listen. “I’m guaranteed till week fourteen,” she shouted on.

When Ebuka asked Cindy on what she felt on Tacha’s reaction to Diane’s negligence with the red box, she said: “Tacha’s behavior was out of sense, it was uncalled for, it wasn’t necessary because it yielded no result.”

Later on, Ike and Mercy were discussing Tacha’s outburst and in this conversation, Ike told Mercy everything Tacha revealed to him earlier. “She feels we’re trending because of her,” Ike said.

Priscilla, a 300 Level accounting student of the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, #EdoState, has died after drowning.

The incident happened at the popular Olumo beach aka #Sabo beach, during a picnic organized by her hostel to mark their Hostel Week.

In a clip from the incident, Priscilla could be seen going to the deep end of the water and moments later she started calling out for help, but drowned before she could be rescued.

The Imo State police command has paraded three suspected killers of Imo politician Christopher Anoruo, following a breakthrough in an investigation carried out by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the command. .

The state Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Ladodo who confirmed the arrest of the suspects said the politician from Egwe in Oguta Local Government Area of the state was taken about two poles away from his house where he was assassinated. .

The Imo Police Chief said “On March 11, 2019, the Imo State Police Command received a report of robbery and assassination of one Christopher Anorue in Egwe, Oguta Local Government Area of the state. Hoodlums, numbering three, entered the house of the deceased, robbed members of the household of their valuables like phones and laptops, and abducted Christopher Anorue. .

“They took him out and about two poles away from his house, they assassinated him. Following the report, I ordered an investigation into the matter. Through painstaking and discreet investigation, the phones of the deceased were traced to one Hassan Kabiru. .
.
When he was arrested, he said one Chimezie gave him the phone and when Chimezie was arrested, he said the phone was given to him by Solomon Onyemaechi.
“That necessitated their arrest and investigation is continuing into the case. The arrested suspects will be charged for robbery and murder.” He also revealed that the suspects have made useful statements and would be charged at the conclusion of the investigation.

A 22-year-old housewife, Harela Uba, has confessed to killing her three-day-old stepson in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

She told Northern City News in Minna on Thursday that an evil spirit drove her into killing her stepson with an insecticide known as ‘Ota Pia-Pia’.

It was learnt that the suspect’s husband, Saidu Uba of Shakodna village in Shiroro, reported the incident to the police.

He told the police that his second wife, Fa’iza, of the same address, went into the bathroom and left her three-day-old baby boy in her room.

Saidu explained that when the nursing mother returned, she discovered a white foamy substance coming out of the mouth of the infant and she immediately rushed him to the General Hospital, Kuta, where a doctor confirmed the death of the child.

In an interview with our correspondent, Harela, who is eight months pregnant, blamed the devil for her decision to kill her co-wife’s son.

The suspect said, “God knows I had no intention of killing him; I didn’t even know when I asked my seven-year-old daughter to administer ‘Ota pia-pia’ on him when the mother left to take her bath. I am eight months pregnant for God’s sake, how could I have done that if not because of an evil spirit in me?

“How do I beg the mother of the deceased to forgive me? Who on earth will believe my story?”

Speaking on the issue, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Muhammad Abubakar, said upon interrogation, Harela confessed to giving her seven-year-old daughter, Khadija, ‘Ota pia-pia’ to administer on the child, which she obliged.

Abubakar said the suspect had since been charged.
