You keep talking about how Nigerian army is bad, but not a single criticism of the criminal armed youth of the community that ambushed the soldiers.

You keep talking about how the Nigerian army is to be blamed for the attack and death of the soldiers because they are not well trained and don't have intel, but have you not heard of American soldiers being ambushed and killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, despite all their good intelligence and weapons?

You keep saying it's a bunkering deal gone wrong and the government is deceiving us that it's a peace keeping mission, as if you have another fact or contrary evidence... and if you do, post evidence online.

You also keep insinuating that the military men (mostly northerners), must have done something bad to the community to warrant this type of revenge, but without citing any evidence too. ... At least the community should have posted what the soldiers did to them previously on the Internet...

You are sounding intelligent but you really are not.

These criminal armed youths are also those who have been responsible for kidnapping innocent family members of people in Southerner part of the country in the past, and killing some of their victims even after collecting ransom.
Maybe it's their turn to die too, and they deserve no sympathy.

The army should be tactical to reduce innocent civilian collateral (though inevitable), and kill as much of the criminal boys as they can.


I'm a Nigerian and I don't hate any part of Nigeria. Have you ever wondered why banditry is in the North, unknown gunmen in the east, criminal armed community youths and militants in the South south, but NOTHING LIKE THIS IS IN THE SOUTH WEST (with solid mineral resources too)?, Ruminate and think about that.....

Umuahia became the capital because of it's central location and closeness to ABA and old Bende, back then in imo state old Bende people wanted a state of there own with uzuakoli or Bende town as capital, and most of the great men of Abia state and south east are majorly from that side (Abiriba, igbere, Arochukwu e.t.c)

You're wrong,so wrong ! I won't even argue much with you but will present a very simple analogy that may help your reasonability. The Yoruba are the single largest ethnic group in Nigeria,no doubt about it. The Hausa/Fulani don't even come any close not to talk of Igbo.

Let's look at it this way :

*Anambra = 4,844 square kilometers
*Imo. = 5,530 square kilometers
Abia. = 6,320 square kilometers
Enugu. = 7,161 square kilometers
Ebonyi. = 5,670 square kilometers
Total = 29,525 square kilometers

Oyo State = 28,454 square kilometers

Now,if Oyo state alone is almost the size of your entire land - the 5 South East States and when it is an established fact that Yoruba people rarely live in villages,they live in large urban towns and cities,unlike you igbos,how on earth will anyone think Igbo come any close to Yoruba in term of population ? If you take a Bus from Ojota (Lagos) down to Oba Adeshida market road in Akure,do you know how many large Yoruba towns and cities you'll pass through before you get to your destination ?!

Trust me, you Igbo will only be deceiving yourselves if you ever think you have more people in the North than the Yoruba ! It is not possible,there are millions of Yoruba in the North apart from the fact that Yoruba people are indigenous to three North Central states - Kwara,Kogi and Niger States. The truth is that it's not every Umar or Suleiman you meet in Kano or Kaduna that's Hausa or Fulani,a lot of them are actually Yoruba -na the real fact be that,go figure out !

Niger state is the biggest state in Nigeria, it is three times the size of the whole SE, a LG is almost the size of Abia state. The terrain of the North is as complex as the creeks in the Nigerdelta. The size of the north with its porous borders makes it extremely difficult in comparison to the number of soldiers per sq km. I suggest a more robust grassroot synergy, a strong determination by both traditional and religious leaders in the fight against banditary. The defence HQ should also scale up the use of drones and advanced tech inorder to bridge any lapses. If you think the Army ain't doing enough, let's withdraw the troops for 48 hours and see if you'd sleep in your house talking trash behind your keyboard.
