I decided to register for GRE today after much contemplation. the problem now is i chose 20th of Dec, the site confirmed it and i advanced to the level of filling d parent/ guardian details, also ticked d options for " purpose of wanting to take d gre" blabla... but along the line, i encountered an error...the site asked that i try again later. As anyone ever had similar xperience? I signed out n signed in again to try n this time around tho 20th was still available but it denied me of seat after confirming my details. Could it be that i have been added to d available seats during my first attempt to register or the seats have been taken. Someone said those "not available" seats are usually booked by agents so as to surcharge prospective candidates. Dunno how true... Pls someone should reason my matta before i choke

Windscreens are one of the top priorities of car owners when it comes to maintenance. Taking good care of your windscreen doesn’t only make your car look excellent, it helps you to drive safely as well. In times of impact, windscreens prevent the roof of your cars from caving in on every passenger inside. Also, they secure the airbag system to protect you from impact.
Now that i have highlighted some of the importance of windscreen, you wouldn’t want to compromise safety due to improper maintenance. Below are a list of tips to consider in order to properly maintain your windshields:
1. If you notice cracks or chips in your glass, have it repaired immediately. Trash, pebbles/stones and sand particles can fracture the glass and cause dings which, if left unattended, can turn into bigger cracks. Regular windshield check-up is even advisable. Some car owners with cracked windscreen can hardly tell when they acquired a crack because they don't perform regular checks.
2. Avoid slamming of doors. Slamming of doors causes intense vibrations to the windscreens. Also, those little dings on your windshields can spread every time vibration builds up when doors are slammed.
3. Avoid parking where your windshield can be directly hit by sunlight. Long exposure to direct sunlight shortens the life of your windshield. Also, those little cracks may get worse if there is a considerable temperature difference on either side of the windshield. So choose cool, shady places for parking. Avoid winding up when you have a crack, and the weather is hot. This can cause your crack to expand and extend.
4. For cleaning, avoid ammonia-containing glass cleaners. Ammonia-based cleaners are dangerous if inhaled and may destroy the tint. A weekly wipe of vinegar or alcohol is sufficient. Also, use microfiber or cotton towels. They are extraordinarily absorbent and do not leave streaks and dust behind after clean-up but a sparkling surface.
5. Don’t forget the wipers. A lot of scratch on the windscreens comes from sand particles and dirt from the wipers, so it is necessary that these should be checked and properly cleaned. Use a rag with a windshield fluid washer. Rub these along the blades to remove dust, sand particles and other contaminants.
6. Do not allow water on a hot windscreen or spray cold water, alcohol or any other liquid on a hot windscreen, the temperature of the water needs to be similar to the temperature of glass in order to avoid crack out because sudden temp changes causes expansion and greatly increases the chances of crack out.
Stick to these tips to keep your windscreen in good condition throughout the lifespan of your car. Remember, when it comes to windscreen maintenance, time is not your friend. As soon as you notice cracks, do not attempt to fix it yourself or else things will just get worse.

hello. just finished the exam few minutes ago!
this thread was really helpful in preparation. av to contribute my quota
Tip: if you ain't good with maths. start with barron, solve every question you see then move to the official GRE text. For verbal and writing us magoosh and the official GRE Text.
But personally learning all the vocab wldnt help. don't depend on it.
My experience : wroke at JKK in lagos, started with issue task, baba don write 15mins b4 I realise I mis-read the topic, sha rugged d remaining 15mins write sometin, argument task was cool tho., next Verbal, I never see verbal wey hard like ds b4. a lot harder than barron n magoosh (my opinion). study GRE frequent word list. na just 2 I see... guessed for most. twas hard. Quant : Quant was a lot cool. 1st was good. the 2nd was harder. guessed the ones that took time.
Prepare for the Quant well, am not rili a verbal person. but don't be scared if the questions comes hard. I sha dey do all dey go. VQVQV
Result : V- 147. Q-160. total 307.
