Pepperdemisback: He is talking rubbish! You and I know when issues happen, everyone will want to hit below the belt. The woman might be a flirt, but that percentage is false. If it happened before the marriage and coupled with his allegations that the woman is like an eighty year old woman in bed so he couldn't service her well, why did he go ahead to marry her? Sleeping with his 18 friends in an 8 weeks marriage is false. If she's not good in bed, why the large figure? If he is good in bed, she won't do that. They will both be trying to hit below the belt and score cheap goals. You're making sense! |

Spectators: Suicide: Farida is acting drama, she slept with almost all my friends – Ex-hubby
Demola Odulaja who is the estranged hubby of Farida Shobowale, a Lagos socialite and boss of House of Phreedah has revealed the reason he dumped her.
Recalled Farida on Friday wanted to jump into Lagos Lagoon due to the sudden crash of her two months old marriage.
According to Odulaja, out of 20 of his friends the lady has allegedly slept with about 18 of them.
Demola insists his estranged wife is just acting Nollywood movie, promising to help her produce more juicy episodes.
Recall that Farida claimed to have spent a whopping N100 Million on her wedding and wanted to end it all the other day after the union hit the rocks.
https://spectatorsng.com/suicide-farida-is-acting-drama-she-slept-with-almost-all-my-friends-ex-hubby/ This story get k-leg. The man needs to check and assess the quality and type of friends he's keeping. What kind of 18 friends would sleep with their friend's wife? As in a whopping 90% (18 out of 20) of his friends slept with his wife? Na wa o Now that he has dumped the woman, is he still keeping the 18 friends? Show me your friends and I'll tell you the kind of person you are! If 90% of your friends are in a particular way, your own character is either like that or very close to it |

netricoin: They is that possibility that APC, LP, PDP and other opposition party will accept the judgement from the PEPC. But then in case they want to take it to the supreme Court, don't be surprise if what play out in the governorship election case in IMO state also play out in the presidential election case, where the APC governorship candidate who was in 3rd position was moved up to 1st position, the judges in the supreme Court can decide to project Peter obi from 3rd position as the winner of the 2023 presidential election. The supreme Court may be compromise by APC, but that has not stopped APC FG from losing court case there. An example of this is the governorship election case in osun state that they lost, and the naira design policy that they also lost. It doesn't matter if USA or ECOWAS don't like the technicalities that the supreme Court use to position Peter obi as the winner of the presidential election, what matters is good governance that Nigerian want to see Obi didnt say that he won the election. He asked that the winner should be disqualified |

Business › Re: CBN Lifts Ban On BDCs, Introduces New Operational Mechanism by Globad(f): 11:04am On Aug 19, 2023 |
owagbeba: Well.. it was called I&E window ..an FX window but basically it was an fx allotment scheme. And the scheme didn’t have enough FX to meet all request. That was the reason emirates pulled from Nigeria. Their naira earnings could not be converted enough in time in the so called FX window. At that time BDCs were allowed 10k weekly.
Arbitrage by BDCs made Emefiele to kick them out requiring them to source their own FX from the public.
Now CBN want them (BDCs) back in provided they will sell within-+2.5 band. The new I&E ( now name changed) still doesn’t have enough liquidity to Carter for all demands. Currency was devalued hoping to draw in liquidity.
It will boil down to allotment weekly or daily to BDCs… how much? I don’t know.
We are back to where we started. My point is that your second to the last paragraph is an assumption that is feeding your last paragraph |

owagbeba: Honestly I don’t know what you are getting at, but if CBN is letting BDCs back into the FX market, and allow them to buy from FX market and sell within a band, doesn’t it mean CBN will allow them to buy FX in CBN regulated FX market. Aren’t we back to the system of old? Hehehehe CBN was allocating dollars to BDCs. It's no longer allocating and the report didn't say that it will allocate. Did CBN stop them from buying in regulated FX market? If they did, please show the evidenced |

owagbeba: The report says, “Under the new framework, the spread on buying and selling by BDC operators is set to fall within a permissible range of -2.5% to +2.5% of the Nigerian Foreign Exchange market window’s weighted average rate from the previous day.”
Doesn’t it mean BDC’s will be allowed to buy FX from CBN and sell within -/+2.5 band ?
In the past they sold 10,000$ weekly to BDCs before Emefiele canceled the policy. NOW CBN IS BACK TO SELLING TO BDC. You're now asking a question that should have been asked from the beginning I insist that there's nothing in the report that clearly states that the CBN is back to where it was |
Business › Re: CBN Lifts Ban On BDCs, Introduces New Operational Mechanism by Globad(f): 9:50am On Aug 19, 2023 |
Rich4god: Read with your financial mind. CBN said BDC will sell dollar at a specified spread. How will that be possible if not that CBN will be the one giving them the dollar.
As at 3 years ago, CBN were giving BDCs dollars before they latter stopped.
And even at that, CBN found it difficult to control the prices at which BDC sell. CBN doesn't have to give you dollars before regulating the pricing of its trade. CBN regulates the pricing of loans without giving banks the money to lend. Hope you're getting my point That report was more about ensuring better returns and monitoring and critics went overboard and equated it with policy somersault. Why not wait until the policy reversal is clear? The headline didn't also help matters though |

Tinubu is clearly confused and wasting scarce resources experimenting with policies without understanding their potential outcomes. Policies should be implemented with careful planning and research backed by empirical data.
It's a shame Tinubu who claims to be an accountant but makes mockery of data and statistics, what we are witnessing today is what happens to people like Tinubu who doesn't believe data is important It's so easy to criticise. Everybody knows what the problem is So, what did you read in the report (not the headline) that's making you criticise, lambast and mock others like this? |

oz4real83: Dumb policy coming out again, the BDC operators don't determine the value of our currency, the level of productivity of our country determines the value the naira will have, too much foreign exchange is leaving the country through import, foreign education, healthcare and others, with just little coming in, an economy dies when such a situation happens . Fix the economy, power, repair our refineries, provide quality healthcare and education, stop dollarising party primaries, effectively fight corruption in all sectors and watch the naira will come back to life I challenge you to explain how exactly this is a dumb policy. |

I just dey laff this CBN, they don't know how these BDCs guys operate. No amount of regulation can keep them in check as there are too many of them who are unregistered and they will be the ones that will make this policy not to work.
Reintro of BDC means CBN will be giving them dollar to sell to the public and there is no way CBN will be able to regulate them. Where did you read this in the report? |
