I knelt down and asked this babe to be my wife and mother of my kids, I have this small ring I always wear on my last finger so I guess that’s what I gave her cos I can’t find it any more. Politics / Fulani Herdsmen: Fayose Condemns Arrest Of 76 Igbo Villagers by Glorealluv(m): 8:36am On Apr 01, 2016

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has condemned the arrest of 76 Igbo villagers from Ugwuneshi Autonomous Community in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State following a clash between the natives and Fulani herdsmen. “It has gotten to a level that lovers of peace in Nigeria must speak out on this keg of gunpowder which the threat that the Fulani herdsmen has become,” Fayose said. No fewer than 76 men from Ugwuneshi Autonomous community were, last Thursday, arrested and whisked away by “men in military uniform” after they protested the continued destruction of their crops and farmlands by Fulani herdsmen and their cattle who settled in the area without permission. Reacting to the alleged arrest, Governor Fayose, who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said President Muhammadu Buhari should address the killing of Nigerians and destruction of farmlands by Fulani herdsmen. The governor, who called for the immediate and unconditional release of the 76 Igbo villagers, said President Muhammadu Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government must not give the impression that the Fulani herdsmen were lords in other people’s land. Governor Fayose said the Fulani herdsmen were giving impression that they now own Nigeria and could perpetrate any crime and get away with it. He said; “It is worrisome that the Fulani herdsmen that killed over 400 Agatus in Benue State, raped women and destroyed farmlands in the North Central, South West and South South zones of Nigeria are walking the streets free while Igbo people, who opted to defend their sources of livelihood are languishing in detention. “Are they saying that those Igbo villagers do not have rights to defend their farmlands from further destruction by the Fulani herdsmen when the president who should defend them is keeping silent? “These people must be released by whichever security agency of the Federal Government that is holding them because Nigerians don’t deserve to be treated like slaves in their own house.”

NIGERIA MUST NOW BEAT EGYPT TO QUALIFY

Chad yesterday dampened Nigeria’s faint hope of
qualifying for the Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup
when it announced its withdrawal from the qualifying
series.
To that effect, the Confederation of African Football
(CAF) has subsequently cancelled all the matches
played by the Chadians as well as the points from
such games.
Consequently, Nigeria, which beat the Chadians in
their first game of the series, have forfeited the
points from that game and therefore, have only two
points from the draws from the games against
Tanzania and Egypt.
Egypt also lost the three points they got from their
game against Chad, but they are on four points
following their win against Tanzania and the draw
they got in Kaduna on Friday.
The development has effectively killed Nigeria’s
chances of qualifying as one of the best second-
placed teams as only three teams are participating in
the qualifiers ion Group G.
Announcing the cancellation of the points, ACF said in
a statement yesterday that: “In conformity with
Article 61 of the regulations of the competition which
states: “If a team withdraws from the qualifying
phase organised in groups, all its results shall be
annulled (points, scored and conceded goals).”
“Consequently, the three matches of Chad of Group
G are cancelled and the results will not be taken into
consideration.
“Accordingly, following the decision of CAF Executive
Committee dated January 15 2015, any group
reduced to three teams following the withdrawal of a
team will have only the group winner qualifying for
the final tournament.
“Furthermore, the Chadian Football Federation has
been fined 20,000 US Dollars and also barred from
participating in the next edition of the AFCON in
conformity with Article 59 of the regulations of the
Competition which states “any association declaring
forfeit after the start of the matches is liable to a
fine of twenty thousand (20,000) U.S. dollars. It will
also not be allowed to participate in the next edition
of the AFCON.”
The implication is that Nigeria must beat Egypt in
Alexandria tomorrow to retain any chance of making
the Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup.

Nigeria as an ‘insensible president’. Donald Trump
like we all know, is VERY outspoken. He is one
politician who loves to air his opinion with little or no
concern about how his subject receives the
comment.
Some people would say Trump talks before thinking,
others may say he is just being a blab, while a lot
others simply love his undiplomatic approach to
presenting speeches.
“No sensible president continuously travels round
the globe while his country Nigeria is in terrible
hardship and economic mess. It can only happen
in Nigeria where all that matters to the President
is the full introduction of Islam, annihilation of his
political opponents and absolute extermination of
the people of the old Eastern Nigeria. Buhari,
prior to his questionable victory at the polls as the
President of Nigeria made lots of promises which
he has obviously failed to keep and in most cases
denied.”
Trump is not far from the truth, as Buhari has made
tons of trips since he became the Nigerian President.
The likes of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State
do not buy the idea of Buhari’s frequent trips as he
says it is detrimental to the finances of the nation.
No doubt President Buhari’s trips are becoming
“too often,” Nigerians now wait to hear the next announcement of yet another trip.
