Congratulations. Please can you share your experience / questions you were asked?

Track your case on this link using your case number, hope you or your fiance updated email with them when u called for case number, so u can receive email from Nvc.

It should either tell u at AT NVC (still at their office) OR IN TRANSIT (On its way to the local consulate )OR READY(In the local consulate and time to contact embassy and schedule your interview. If your case didn't ship on Tuesday 20th August ,then it will on 3rd September.

When he called them, they said they have his email already

Oh ok. I did get mine on the 12th too and case has been shipped yesterday. It'll get to the embassy latest this friday.

Yeah they sent me an email cos I updated my information as an applicant, just as @legitbachelor suggested, with a little message about what I wanted them to do when they sent out the case. They sent to her too cos she updated as petitioner. For me, he should call back in less than a week.

Please how did you update? He asked them and they said he can’t update his email until the file gets into the system

I dont think there's any such thing as packet 3 from NVC, the embassy send you one when you email them after they receive your file. I've received the email from NVC and case is already in transit to the consulate.
How are things looking for you?

Did NVC send the email to you? Or to your fiancée ? My fiancé called last Thursday, and they said theyve recieved the file But its not yet in thier system. And he should call back in 2 weeks. Don’t know why it’s taking so long

@Glorioussugar, what number was requested on the website? USCIS Receipt Number? It's on the NOA1 and NOA2 he received.

He called again today. And was told they just recieved our file 2 days ago. And it’s not in the system yet. That he can only update email when the file is in the system.

My fiancé said he couldn’t update his email on the site. Said they requested for a number that he doesn’t have. Please how can he update his email? Cos I read somewhere that I will need email printout that has the case number for my medicals. He has never registered his email on the site.

You know what's funny, last week I called the officer said they haven't received the file but today the officer said the file has been there since NOA2 date So try to talk to at least 2 officers.

My K1 visa was approved on the 3rd of July,though I collapsed during the interview process from exhaustion and low blood sugar issues because I was on a 3 days mid year fast and had not slept for up to 5hours in 2days.God showed me mercy and it went well. My fiancee and I will get married come 24th in Texas. The wedding is a big one,we have spent over $18k preparing for it since November 2018.Expecting friends and family from Europe and Australia and Africa.
I flew into DFW through Frankfurt from Abuja on the 9th and 10th. POE was smooth,normal secondary processing and agric section checks. Had to fly to Lagos twice,one for the interview and the visa collection.
My candid advise to us all intending to apply is to ensure that your intentions are genuine because God won't bless a lie except you are trusting in something else to pull you through.
My appreciation goes to God and those who make this forum lively eg. @legitbachelor and others.
Mine was a miracle because I tot by collapsing during the interview I would be put on enquiry and further drilled and denied.Infact I was wheeled out of the embassy with the option of an ambulance but I declined and choose to speak with my doctor instead.
My visa pickup letter was given to me by the head of the Consulate himself,he cracked jokes with me while I laid on the floor receiving attention from the nurses and doctors.It was a miracle cos many where denied that day.
Be careful not to lie because they do background checks.They sent someone to check my address to see if it was real.
Also it is important to know that the embassy people read through forums too so if you have something sinister to write pls swallow it.
If you stay around the Dallas Fort Worth area and would be free to attend my wedding do hit me up and get an RSVP ASAP.

Good evening. Yes my fiancee did but the auto answering voice said to call back due to no available staff to talk with her, adding that they were unto other customers. Tried again it was the same. She called a bit late tho so it was expected. Funny thing, the call kept disconnecting after saying all that. Tomorrow will be right as they open for business. Did you get to reach them?

Your fiancee will need to call NVC. They will request for info such as date of birth, passport number, phone number, email address, etc. They'll also provide the case number.

When should he call NVC please? A week or 2 weeks after the approval?

Please what do we do after receiving our NOA2? How will we know we’ve been assigned a case number?

They asked for my fiancé tax clearance, evidence of subsequent visit, how we met, and letters from people that knows about our relationship

It's none of their business whom you marry. I dont think they'll ask that question. But if they do, tell them the truth.....that you love him, right?
