Visa approved this morning in Lagos. Going to RIT for a masters program.

Had a deficit of 51k after 30% tuition waiver and it was still approved. So.. It’s not just fully funded people that are getting approved.

I suspect this bracelum works for one of those loan providing companies. to the extent of downgrading someone moving from Google to Tesla that they work as cleaners.

People, hear this! There's something much worse than going flat broke and bankrupt; and it's getting ridden in debt and without a means of income.

Stop sounding philosophical - this is reality! If you don't use resources at your disposal and achieve success like >90% of your classmates, it is your fault. It is the same "life" you all are experiencing and the fact they became successful shows that they worked harder or smarter than you.

If you use your school's resources and you don't end up successful, then it is not the school's fault. Don't use this to justify complacency.

First, this guy does not have the right profile to compete for MBA jobs with his fellow Stanford GSB classmates. If he had the right profile, he would have secured one of the juicy jobs from companies that hire on-campus. The jobs are there for people in such elite MBA programs, but if you don't have the right profile or you don't interview well, you won't get it.

Second, Stanford can block opportunities for him. Their alums are in almost every company in the world (this is why graduates from elite schools tend to be more successful on the average). Also, when such things occur, the school sends emails to all their alums + current students and I'm sure the guy's name will appear on that email. So, the loyal alums might decide to screw the guy up. In fact, I believe this is the major reason for his predicament.

In summary, I still stand by my assertion. If you attend an elite school and you don't end up successful, then you've failed in using the massive resources at your disposal. It is not the school's fault. If 98% of your classmates secured a job of >$200K per year and you got nothing, then you should know that the fault is from you.

Me- master in computer science and Quantitative method with concentration in mathematical finance is a 2year 33credit hour course program and it focus on key areas like regression analysis,numerical analysis, financial mathematics,stochastic process and probability

Vo- how did you here about the school

Me- from a colleague who is an alumni and has been doing very fine ever since coming back and I later did further research on the program,fee and the city

Vo- how many school did you apply to

Me- 3, wku,mtsu,Austin pea state university

Vo- why Austin Pea State University

Me- aside from APSU is one of the best university in Tennessee,it has a wonderful curicullum that does not focus alone on the theoretical aspect but alot of practical course work that would help boost my carrier.

Vo- what will you do after this degree

Me- I will be coming back to Nigeria to work with the Nigerian pension commission so that I can harness my creative energy toward solving the problems of delay or non-paymeny of our retiree gratuity and at some point in my career I will like to go into lecturing so that I can teach and motive young people willing to take up a job in pension administration.

Me- quantitative reasoning 157, verbal reasoning 147 and critical written 3.0

Me- I was offered a GA that cover the whole of my tuition and my uncle Mr. **** that work at **** would be taking care of the remaining cost

Hello house, I just need advice from people here. I have an admission for fall 2019 already at Texas a and m university, commerce for masters in computer science. I tried east Tennessee state uni for fall 2018 but was not admitted. it was after then i did GRE and TOEFL. i have GRE 294, 4 in analytical writing. TOEFL 95. and 3.25 bsc according to WES. The thing is Texas a and m admission didnt come with funding. I have been trying to get schools that can give funding for ms in computer science. suggestions pls? Thanks.
