VERY URGENT PLEASE! In a situation whereby the sponsor's name on my I-20 is written for example Adekunle Ajanlekoko and the statement of account I will be submitting to the embassy is different which carries the name Kazeem Oluwalogbon. Please is there any cause for alarm on this regard? @Time2win @Lagosmyhome and others. please kindly help with a response. Thanks |

Abdulrahmon68:That is misrepresentation I will urge u not to go with that The best thing you can do now is to send the present statement of account to the school and request for another I-20 to carry the name of your present sponsor 1 Like |

Abdulrahmon68: Personally I dont know details on even 1% of schools in the USA Because they are so many so you have to do proper research to determine if it right for you... st cloud state wiki states its a public university which tells me it not a red flag but at least a standard school. But that all i can tell you 1 Like |

Recently, l requested for someone who can assist me in reviewing my transcript before l go for the interview but unfortunately there was no response, l pm some people as well but non replied. By the way, l need your candid advise on my last visa delay at Abuja embassy last Thursday. vo: good morning me: good morning sir vo:passport please me: l passed my passport and 1-20 form vo: you are going for graduate study in Maharishi University me: yes sir vo: tell me why did you choose this school me: having work for some years as software developer, the school course content and the academic curriculum perfectly fit into my current exp and my future career goal . . . . cuts in and asked me a question but l don't really understand the question because it was during my explanation he cut me off (just overheard the school name) and l don't want to assume, then l said pardon vo: how many schools did you apply to Me: 3, and mentioned them, Georgia southern university, university of New Haven Vo: why did you now choose this university Me: likewise l said the school course content fit into my current experience, the school specialized in software development (cuts in with a smile but others school as well), then l cuts in too what l meant is that before l was admitted to the school, l wrote an entry exam in JAVA which need to be passed before you can be admitted, the schools checked and verified previous project previously handled . . . . Vo: ok Me: then l continued, tuition fees and living expenses affordable compare to other universities, the financial aid package . . . Vo: sorry, your visa is not approved Me: OK, thank you, can you please tell the reason in case of next time l will . . . Vo: sorry, can you allow me attend to another applicant please. Me: nah so l smiled, ok thank you sir. Kindly advise on the next line of action, 1. Should l reapply for the second time before the school resume in May. 2. Should l wait till September for the other admission Profile, Bsc in computer sci 2.1 Graduated since 2005 but have some certification No GRE The school have low initial entry payment $5000 and the remaining $21,000 is covered by financial aid package (student loan), stated on the l-20 and given the award letter. |

Good day dear people of nairaland! I am typing this with deepest of shame and shyness ...I'm a prospective fall 2019 applicant hoping to have my masters education in the USA like most people here. I got admitted to 5 schools and later settled for university of new haven coz they were the only one to offer a good amount of scholarship. To cut the story short, please I need your help to pay for my SEVIS fee ...I'm currently financially challenged with no parents to help whatsoever. I have tried different ways to get a job but no luck so far and my sponsorer(maternal uncle) won't help...he keeps saying he will only help me with his statement of account, nothing else! Please my fellow brothers and sisters help me make my dreams come true ...May the lord not make you miss a life changing opportunity and continue to bless you...Thank you! @Lagosismyhome @twoods @Time2win |

Time2win: Don't say that sir...I already applied in 2017 and I paid all my fees only to be denied a Visa... Now am reapplying... I have never begged for this sort of help my whole life... Circumstances changed especially with my sponsorer who got frustrated by the continuous applications I continue to make and said he had better spent money elsewhere..I have spent a lot of money on application fees and evaluation of transcript...i have sent my GRE scores countless times but I know if I get the visa he will pay for all my travelling and expenses God willing...Please help me this one time...I will be forever grateful..I had to summon a lot of courage to come here...trust me it wasn't easy |

The reasons for denial are obvious. Apart from the school, you failed on two attempts to explain why you chose this school. The VO gave you chances twice which was why he smiled at some point cos you didn't get it. Research the unique points of the school and your course better and refire. demmysoft: |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by Nobody: 9:45am On Apr 01, 2019 |
demmysoft: You have to provide a strong reason for why you chose that school. Just a heads up, this your school (Maharishi University) don dey cast small small as a visa mill. Nigerians don dey cast their low admission requirement and their financial payment plans. I guess the VOs might also have heard about it. So, you should have a very strong reason for choosing this school and it should be very strong unique features of the school - features you can't find anywhere. Every school does Software Development (even community colleges and bootcamps), so it is not a strong reason to choose the school (even ahead of Georgia Southern and New Haven) Also, don't mention any entry JAVA exam because I noticed you did not write the GRE. If you mention any entry exam, the VO might ask for a GRE score and na there your matter go cast. So, in summary, research your school very well and have very solid reasons why you want to attend the school. Also, have it in mind that your school is gradually entering the red-flag list with the likes of CALMUS and Virginia International University. 9 Likes |

demmysoft: 1. The fact that nobody offered to do a mock interview with you doesn't mean u should indirectly blame this denial on this group's members. Nobody owes nobody anything. 2. when I heard maharishi University, I had to go back n double-check. I thought u were applying to a school in India. I am not a VO, but I can tell this school has a serious K-leg. 3. You graduated in 2005, which means you r probably 38 years now. It appears desperate especially coupled with your choice of school. 4. D interview just didn't go well. U couldn't say y u chose d school n it appears that u n the VO never had a meaningful discussion. I think u first need to change d school. 5 Likes |

Hello everyone. I have just been granted admission into Youngstown State University, Ohio. Please, is it too early to apply for a Visa? Also, is there anyone here who has been or is being sponsored by the company where they’re employed?..What is the rate of acceptance of candidates sponsored by the company where they work? |

iblion: For chemistry, it's late but NOT too late. It's late if you're considering financial assistance (but not impossible)and it's not too late because some schools will still need to fill up their classrooms. From the little I know, oyinbo no too dey enrol for chemistry. So, I'd advise you to use Google at this juncture to know which school's application is open. Also, I'll like to know if you've done the GRE and the TOEFL. Best!! |
