FIRS is not employing now, nor do they intend to do so in the nearest foreseeable future. Probably all your C.V's will end up in the shredding machine as soon as it is received.

I went there around 12pm and the crowd of people there was massive. Everyone trying to write his or her application letter. I quickly wrote mine and then decided to re-write it on another clean paper. I submitted it with a copy of my cv in a carton box provided outside the gate. When I was about leaving, I was informed by someone that before today, those who have been submitting since Tuesday were given acknowledgement forms stamped and signed. So I went back to the gate to ask about it and on getting there I realized that the carton box I submitted into have been taken inside and cv collection has stopped. Worse still, So many people were yet to submit. The securities said they've been instructed by the management to stop the collection.

Lucky me but I wasn't satisfied as I was not sure it's ok to forget about the acknowledgement form. Just then I saw an FIRS staff outside who came out to collect someone's cv. I walked up to her and told her to help me submit a copy of my cv too. At first she said no but later she called me to bring it and so I gave her the first application I wrote together with the extra copy of my cv I came with. She collected my number and called me in the evening that she was able to submit it for me but wasn't given the acknowledgement.

i beg to differ. The people in east do eat ewedu, though it's not that popular. Nsukka people(enugu state) call it elegle(ezike-oba fellows w'ld understand my stand). But they take it as a soup for the poor, those that can not afford ogbono.

Op, try and correct that mistake up there. Ogbono and ewedu are two different thing. While EWEDU SOUP is usually prepared with the ewedu leave, ogbono soup is made with the ogbono seed.

FIRS stopped collection of CVs this afternoon. I luckily submitted mine through a staff when I went there in the afternoon.

Don't type in ignorance, a child of 14 in the south, does not have the legal capacity to consent to any sexual activity. At 14,a child is still under the protection of his parents or guardian and can not make any decision on his /her own. We should keep sentiments apart and focus on the law of the land. Even if she consented to any sexual act, her consent is invalid, as such, its as though she never consented in the first place. Those lawyers representing yunusa are doing it for the money, no matter how bad ur case is, there's always lawyers to represent u as long as they get paid. As for those sponsoring the lawyers, they are just looking for attention. Am surprised one of them is a lecturer, with his level of literacy, doesn't he know that the provisions of the Penal Code don't apply in the South? He will be charged under the Criminal Code, and base on the provisions of the Criminal Code, he should start looking for another line of defense cus, his defense of consent won't hold water.
