2. Modric was consistent for Madrid all through while Ronaldo suffered goal drought for a while before finding his rhythm in the UCL.

3. RONALDO is a forward player (the same as Messi). Sneidjer is a midfielder (the same as Modric).

4. As per the WC, Ronaldo's highlight was against Spain, after scoring a hat trick at their opening match. Modric's role is quite different as he is not equipped or tasked with scoring goals. However, his brilliance all through the campaign was noticed.

5. Ronaldo failed to win the WC, let alone reach the final of the WC. Modric, as well failed to win the WC with his under dogged Croatian side but inspired all through the tourney.

With this, how was Ronaldo any better than Modric who contributed greatly to so many of his goals last season?

There is no denying that Ronaldo is a brilliant goal scorer but age caught up with him a long time ago and had been forced to rely on the brilliance of Marcelo, Kroos and Modric.

I am no Ronaldo hater but sentiment apart, Ronaldo is just a goal scorer and nothing more. His team mate sacrifice a lot just to make sure he score and feel happy.

Have you noticed something about Ronaldo in the last 3 years? He always flop in the first half of the season and then have a good 3 or 4 months (He will score tone of goals within that month), but someone that has been consistent throughout the season won't even win what he won.

Did you remember voting was extended because he scored an hattrick against Sweden when he won his second Ballon D'or? What do you have to say about that?

Why did you think Perez allowed Ronaldo to go but stopped Modric with every means?
