Career / Re: The Basics Of Professional PR In Nigeria by gmhc(m): 9:56am On Feb 24, 2017
Good Morning OP,
I kinda like your write-up. However, this does not totally represent what PR stand for. It is more about that.
The PR professional must be first and foremost be a skilled writer and speaker who knows a little about everything.
Some courses in PR include
Issues and Crises Management
Image building and perception
media relations
corporate communications
media management and monitoring etc

I feel it is good for every man to go to the labour room with their wives. I was there in the labour room with my wife holding her hands, urging her to push that she can do it and together with God our little Princess was born. It was a pleasant experience that cannot be explained.

And that is the tribalism we are talking about. I am not saying APC guys are the 'Messiah' that we need now but again we don't want Jonathan again.
Things has gone worse under him than it was before, brother or no brother everybody has the right to choose and associate with whoever they want.

yorke1: Ameachi is going to regret this! ganging up with the Northerner to unseat your brother. They have ruled for so many years with nothing to show for it. And you believe Buhari to perform magic now, wake up Ameachi the dreamer! Tinubu and Buhari only need your money for the forthcoming election. be wise!

Religion / Re: Pastor Adeboye Under-fire For 3km Auditorium by gmhc(m): 2:49pm On Aug 14, 2013
idnoble135: I expect people to quote me but i seriously dont care! And this is my personal opinion.
Its not a surprise that many eyebrows are being raised over this. I think it would be abnormal if he(Pastor Adeboye) did not expect
this kind of reaction.
The rant on social and mass media can go on but i have the feeling that it would not stop the building.
He did not compel people to give. If he wants to expand the church, how is it your business? If you would not give, that would not stop anything being done.
I am not a redeemed member. But my concern is why everything about any church attracts this kind of attention. Knowing that the church fund is comprised of what is given by members. The figure spent by a political party for the last convention is way bigger than this and no one batted an eyelid. I think without the church, some media corporations and blog would die down.
So, every one can shout and rant as much as they want to, everyone would keep quiet when they are tired. Its a matter of next year before the church would be dedicated.
Finally, i know if most of you were alive, you would have equally blasted Solomon for spending a great deal of gold, silver, precious stones, cedar etc building a temple that took a whooping seven years to build because of its complex architectural design. You would have organized protest calling it a waste. Maybe you would have insulted him on facebook, twitter, nairaland, you name it... But God was pleased with Solomon and appeared to him right after the dedication. And there were still poor people in the land. Even Jesus said, "The poor you will always
have with you, but you will
not always have me". Mathew 26:11. Letting us know that helping the poor is important but not as kingdom and its expansion.
If this is not of God, be rest assured that it would fail. But, if this be of God, one million devils and one million Boko haram can not stop it. Acts 5:38-39.
I rest my case.

I am moved to tears reading your post it shows your understanding of the kingdom principles. God will continue to bless you richly and keep your feet from falling till he comes and take us to His heavenly kingdom as he promised. The church is marching on and the gates of hell shall not prevail

Politics / Re: TB Joshua Is Not Behind Al-mustapha's Release - Response To SaharaReporters by gmhc(m): 3:04pm On Jul 23, 2013
It is obvious that most people here just comment on issues without first looking at the antecedents. Sahara reporters DO NOT write without having their facts intact check their history, let me help you remember that they broke the news on Patience Jonathan's supposed "resting" in Germany which later was confirmed when madam said she was close to death. Yar'adua's sickness was also reported by this guys in Sahara reporters and some other ground-breaking investigative reporting. recently they published a report that Nigeria is broke and the madam in charge of the economy said it is a lie, they were threatened with a law suit to withdraw their story and they stood by the story saying madam can go ahead and today we all know that our economy is in shambles. As a trained reporter, we were taught in journalism school that always stand by your story even if they threaten to bring down the heavens in as much as your evidence and reports is accurate. Read in between the lines Pastor's response again and you will see that there is a correlation in both reports

Sahara Reporters are good example of a vibrant investigative reporting that some of us in the journalism world hold in high esteem, until they compromise they still maintain that standard and will always have my vote any time any day.

Cheers smiley

Poems For Review / A Poem Celebrating Fathers by gmhc(m): 12:25pm On Jun 28, 2013
ODE NLA - A GREAT HUNTER

Sitting alone on a rocky stone
Waiting for him to come home
I hear the noise of children as they cheer him
Baba ode, baba oo, was their song from far-off

He smiles and brings out nuts from his pouch
They wanted to touch the game
But he only allowed them a gaze
Even the elderly acknowledge his hunting prowess

Coming home, he was like hero
who had gone to the Olympics and returned with gold medals
He had been away for a while
Mother and I praying for safe return

More than a man
Trees, birds and all animals in the forest trembles at his feet
At his return, a party is thrown to celebrate the arrival of the great hunter
Where all the 'Borokinis' come attending.

Alxmyr: This event that I am watching on TV could not have been planned within 3 days as some of Amaechi supporters wanted us to believe.

Amaechi is indeed a sinking man clutching to everything he can lay hold on and drag everyone into the mud with him.

His hypocrisy sinks and very alarming.

It is quite obvious that you don't understand how this people work, well an event can be put together within 24 hours.
it's all about money and the FG is not in lack of that and moreover what makes the event special?

Nairaland / General / What Is The Best Parental Advise You Have Ever Received? by gmhc(m): 6:42pm On May 06, 2013
Good day y'all,
I just thought of this and i felt it would be nice to hear your opinion on it. We all know how vital the role of parent is in the development of a child. As a kid, my parents would scold me, spank me or even punish me each time i go wrong. But as i was growing up all this stopped and what they now do is talk to me because they know I am becoming an adult or rather permit me to say *unfloggable* again. When i gained admission into university, my mother gave all the womanly advise of don't join bad gang, face your studies and the likes but the best advise came from the mouth of my father. In his quiet tone he looked at me and said, 'son you are now a man because you will be leaving us to stay alone on your own, "always remember the son of who you are" as my people will say ranti omo eni ti iwo nse.
This word act as my guiding principle and i am going to carry it over to use it as a word of advice for my children too.

So lets keep it coming, what is the best advise you have received from your parent/guardian?
