Whoa!!!

Am asking myself how the hell haven't I stumbled on this thread all this long long while??

Am an FTM and 32weeks pregnant... Its been a wonderful ride with my LO. The kicks are getting stronger and the turns so visible I could almost tell body parts. Some days I can just wait for LO to pop out but on some days I cherish the feeling I get knowing a great entity is budding inside of me and the dad gets really jealous.

Only ish is my appetite....I don't eat like the proverbial pregnant woman (that frequent eating have heard from stories of mums)....If I do two square meal in a day then i have tried....My last scan which was done 24th July 2015, pegged LO at 1.8kg and I wonder if its an okay weight for a 32weeks LO as I want to birth a "baby" not "pikin".....Over to mums in the house plz...Do i need to eat more and more or is my baby's weight okay??

Good evening wonderful mama, am a ghost follower of this trend. Please will want experience mamas to pls come to my aid am 22weeks gone, had cs with my son 2years ago but the problem I have now is that I always feel this peppering pain around d stitches, should I be worried abt this.

My sister, my experience was only itching. Not peppering pain. Please just to clear tell your doc. Try and explain to him and see what he says.

Yes labour started on its own, but really slow. It took over 4 hrs for ne to go from 2 to 3 cm, then they decided to insert something like a balloon to expand it manually. Even with that, I only went from 3 to 5 cm but after almost 24hrs my princess finally came after 3 pushes. Its been over 4yrs since my cs, dunno why this doc doesn't want to induce. He has alreadt hinted that once I hit my due date(next week), then we have no option but go for a cs. It's been prayers since then o! I'm soooo not looking forward to that post surgery pains

I also had a VBAC, contrary to what I read in an earlier post, I had a really prolonged Labour because induction was not an option. It took about 20 hours and manual expansion of the cervix (horrible and uncomfortable)to get me fully dilated. Now I'm hoping this one will be different, but my doc is still suggesting we don't induce labour . Anyways its d safe delivery that's important at this moment. Pray all goes well.

Really, no wonder I was wondering what the doc had in mind, please did your labour start on its own? Na wa o, we dey try o. Chaii.
Please is there anything else you can say to enlighten us on this VBAC topic? Thank you.

I havent heard of that test before but i guess it should be to check the size of your pelvic to know if VBAC can be possible. If the pelvic is small then that will be an automatic cs again. But we can google for more information also labour must never be induced or prolonged once you have had CS before. May God see us through and grant us our heart desires to have supernatural deliveries IJN.

Had my blessing from God at 12:28. Baby boy was born in 5 push. The contractions hurt but the pushing stage didn't. Guess I was so focused on doing the right things and taking instructions. Barely felt any didn't even feel baby pushing down. Just knew that I had to push when contractions hit.

As soon as I heard baby cry, launched into praise and worship. Thanking God, Jehova, Jesus christ, virgin Mary and the nurses over and over again.

No tear but bruises. The nurses were professional and helpful.

Mum, dad, mother in law, aunties everyone travelled home to d East. Hunger wan kill me. Hubby brought only milo and milk. We are still learning how to carry baby. Still holding baby since he was placed in my arms by nurse cos we don't know how to lay him down.

Not complaining sha. Will catch some sleep when my family get here.

@ shiller, seeing its just the egg white discharge I think u shud wait till tomorrow before going to the hospital. Dont have work Ur self up. Even if the egg white was stained with blood you will still have to see other signs before reaching full labour. Just relax or if you have your personal docs number you can call?

I havent heard of that test before neither have I discussed my intention to have VBAC with my doctor although I did ask him what my chances are, he said I am good to go if I want to barring any complications in pregnancy or labour but from my friends that have, I was adviced to let labour set in on its own. also I read and was adviced by a midwife that labour must never be induced once you have had CS before.

You should also have your previous files reviewed to know the kind of cut that was made om your uterus during your CS( the doctor cant know by lookng at your scar). There are 3 kinds of cut and only one of them can make VBAC possible.

Wow, thank you for your response. But why haven't u discussed your intentions with your doc? And he didn't say labour can't start on its own, if it starts before the Edd fine, but he said I can not be allowed to reach Edd and I use both general and private hospital and they both said same thing. I can't be allowed to reach Edd. But I think labour might even start before then. And we dont even have access to my previous files, seeing the previous hospital is far. Na wa o my sister , I just taya.

Abeg am 26 weeks gone and I've been having indigestion especially at night. The back, waist and rib pain no be here o. Pls what can I do abt it? And Ehen can I do a scan now to know the sex of my baby? Last time I went at 5 months I was told it was too early.

Yes you can or you can wait about a week or 2 more. Although some kids are shy and might not allow you see till they feel like, he he.

get 'calamine' lotion . however, check with your doctor to make sure its safe for you and your baby

I can't authoritatively say it is safe, However I used Erythromycin given to me by my Dr in treating an repentant cough I had while I was 3-4 weeks pregnant, I didn't know I was pregnant else I wouldn't use cos I am aware its a very strong antibiotics.....BTW I'm 23 weeks gone and my Gold is doing very fine......

That's nice , if you could use it that early and had no problems , it makes me feel a lot better, thank you for sharing.
