I remember applying for a job in a bank some years back, after the test and interview, we were posted to Kano for training. This particular bank wanted to recruit people for their branches in the South West.

When we finished our training in Kano, we were told to select any state of choice in the South West with a stern warning that : anybody who picks Lagos as his/her state of choice would get an instant offer of employment the following week while those who choose other states may wait longer and may eventually forfeit their employment if there's no space available in that state

The first thought that came to my mind was: is there a special incentive or the salary that is paid in Lagos is much more higher than other states? Lo and behold, it's the same thing ! I chose Ibadan jejely. Those who chose Lagos got their call-up letter a week later truthfully, but I'm happy I risked it all not to die before my time by choosing Lagos.

Sincerely, Ibadan is far better. Even if I'm paid 80k I'd rather stay than go to Lagos for 150k. There are opportunities in Ibadan and cost of living is cheap, security is okay etc. As long as you involve God, it doesn't matter where you stay, opportunities will always comr your way.

Try it and see if it works with your decoder if that is what you have. Our big bro here might not have that decoder. I have the 4955series, when I move to that frequency I will input and see if it works with it.

One of the ways to track a satellite using phones without a satfinder gadgets handy.

Requirements
A. 2 smartphones
B. Download a dish pointer app on smartphone.
C. Download WhatsApp on the phones.

Use a dish pointer app earlier downloaded to locate the direction of your choice satellite. (Azimuth)

Set you elevation by using the indication at the back of your dish.

Now to Align your dish properly. This is when we now need the two phones.
Do a video call on whatsapp on one of the phone and place it in your seating room facing the TV. It is assumed you have plugged your decoder and imputes the TP and its showing on your TV.

Take the second phone with you up the ladder ( Your TV is mirrored here to see your
signal strength and signal quality)

Begin to adjust your dish left to right or up and down while looking at your phone to see if it will hit green. Tightened your dish at maximum signal quality.
That's the summary.
I have used this method to find different satellites.

Those things will likely not work, right from time these notices has always been posted on the board. For the ceasing of hotplate, I remember they went from room to room before they finished with room 101 block A, everybody in the hostel were aware that they were seizing. That's how that their seizing drive ended.

I just confirmed that those DStv channels located on 51.5°E, i.e CNN, BOOMERANG, SS EPL, SS VARIETY, ESPN etc, are being transmitted by MetroDigital Cable tv.
If you live in the South South and SouthEast, youd know MetroDigital prior to now have been DTT (terrestrial tv) and use to show Premium content untill DStv caught up with them.

Apperently, they(MetroDigital) have been able to acquire a Satellite tv licence and have brokered a deal with DStv to be able to retransmit some of their channels.

A date for the formal launch of the DTH service is not known for now, but it'll be a pay tv service.

Just thought I'd announce this new development here even though it ain't really FTA

But 98% are scrambled already on my decoder just four or so are open.

Most of their news channels and many not too useful channels you have them in abundance but nigeria own most of those news stations you get with bigger dish, except tvc.

I meant the tp for those channels. When I input the tp I saw online, the signals just blink for some seconds and goes off, even though all other channels on 51.5 are stable on 88 to 90 degree. Is there a way around this?

There's the Tiger Series, Hellobox series and GT Media. series. Those three brands have good decoders that are as good as strong.
You can aswell get another strong Decoder, most preferably the Strong SRT 497s



Those Channels belong to DStv, they may go anytime.
DStv may be upto something too, who knows.
They are definitely not tstv property.

OSN, is not a free channel, however through backyard door some people with bud dish dey watch am with specific device/account.

So gather better money to buy bud dish and create space for your compound to mount am. Then buy the decoder or account that can open it.

You nor go mount bud dish for compound when you be tenant na, or house when landlord dey. So it's not just about the cash and space. I wish these goodies were available to smaller dishes.
