Brother, I think the first thing you need to do is fix yourself. You already know what you're doing is wrong, and you're hurting your wife in the process. Those women outside you think have caught feelings for you may not even stay when things stop being exciting. But if you lose your marriage because of temporary pleasures, you may regret it for the rest of your life. Give your wife time to heal and forgive you, but don't make her forgiveness your only focus. Look inward and ask yourself what you're really searching for. Sometimes, the problem isn't the women outside but something missing within you. Fix that part of yourself before you destroy something you may never get back. |

This has been bothering me for a while. Sometimes I look at the way we behave as a generation, especially as young Nigerians, and I honestly wonder what is happening to us. Everything seems to revolve around money now. How much can I make? What can I gain? Who can I use to get ahead? Imagine seeing a man lying helplessly on the road after an accident, fighting for his life, with money scattered around him. What would you do first? Help the man or pick the money? I know things are hard. I know many young Nigerians are struggling to survive. But I sometimes feel like we have started using survival as an excuse for things that should still bother our conscience. When did kindness become foolishness? When did honesty become weakness? When did another person's suffering become an opportunity? Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe this has always been part of society. But I genuinely feel like something is changing. Are we really losing our humanity, or is this just what a difficult society is turning us into? I'd genuinely like to hear what others think. |

Good day, fellow nairalanders. I normally don't do this, but I just have to cry this out perhaps I'd get some solutions here. I am a young man, a little past 27 years, and I am an undergraduate. I have tried all that I possibly can to stay in the line of survival but nothing seems to be working. I have taken several different jobs, but in the end I'm still left hanging. I do not drink. I do not smoke. I do not womanize. I do not gamble. I am a believer. I pray as much as I humanly can. Nothing's changed. Is there something I'm not doing right? |
This is profound wickedness! The world doesn't have to be this cold. |
Please help, brethren. |
