God1000:
People are wicked, why using such oil to make akara

And you have no words for a government that is given to rhetorics only. In other places the statement would include what the government has done to block future use and punish offenders, beyond empty threats.

Wicked people abound everywhere and that's why we have a government to regulate things.
Even God says in the Bible: "among my people are found wicked men." Jer 5:26

That chemical is very dangerous. Nigerians are just too wicked. Technicians even have to use protective cloths and gloves when decommissioning transformers with PCBs. I am shocked to find people using it as cooking oil.

Non verifiable.

They should do better.
When anything is passed under heat like fire be it water or oil, evaporation must happen. Oil must dry, water must dry. Simple.
Is it magic oil that stops evaporation?

You're correct, but you know, evaporation rate is affected by density. If the oil becomes denser as as result of the mixture, we could expect a reduction in the rate of evaporation.

1, A drum (200L) of used transformer oil is over 300k, that is about 1500 naira per litre, how much is a litre of unbranded vegetable oil? Then someone will now use an oil that is higher in value to spoil his/her oil that is cheaper. Does that make any sense?

2,Virgin Transformer oil tastes very awful, so how can one now fry akara with the used one and the Akara will still taste good, if one even try to fry akara with an over used vegetable oil, the taste will be so bad that you might throw the Akara away not to talk of using transformer oil.
We all know that folks living in that entity of the map like rumours better than doing a research bout a thing..

However, the wickedness of mankind is beyond imagination..

Re: FG To Prosecute Food Vendors Using Transformer Oil by gonkin(m): 9:50am On Jun 23, 2022
I dont understand. But transformer oil is more expensive and thicker than vegetable oil. Its pointless to use it in cooking cuz it has a higher boiling point so it uses more heat and cooking time.
Also it has a light diesel like smell and its not easy to wash off. It's like saying you cooking with ATF. TRANSFORMER OIL IS JUST A LIL LIGHTER THAN ATF. So why would someone use it to prepare akara?

Wetin these people dey talk sef
