Most churches are Bible believing na, its just that they don't believe some parts. If you're looking for a popular church around yaba, i'll suggest Deeper Life, Apostolic Faith, Winners, Redeem and Christ Embassy. i'll go more in favour of deeper life because of their consistency i.e you're likely to hear the same thing in any location unlike the others where some are more serious than others with a wide disparity. At best sha, let God guide you, the main thing na to please God, live a holy righteous life, and be ready for His coming.

Thanks for this. I just wanted to read and pass but this got me to show some appreciation as I am having similar experience. Thanks once again.

Nairaland / General / 50 High Profile Nigerians Banned From Travelling Out The Country By FG by GoddonBishop: 6:25pm On Oct 13, 2018
President-Muhammadu-Buhari speaking
President Muhammadu Buhari talking
The presidency has just circulated the statement below announcing the placement of 50 high-profile Nigerians on travelling restrictions.

The individuals, whose identities were not disclosed, include those whose assets, valued at N50million and above, are subject of corruption investigation and litigation.

The statement by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said the measure is part of the implementation of Executive Order Number 6 which seeks to ensure “that all assets within a minimum value of N50 million or equivalent, subject to investigation or litigation are protected from dissipation by employing all available lawful means, pending the final determination of any corruption-related matter.”

Mr Shehu added that the financial transactions of these persons of interest are also being monitored by relevant agencies to ensure the assets are not dissipated and that such persons do not interfere with, investigation and litigation processes.

READ FULL STATEMENT BELOW

STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE

PRESIDENT BUHARI DIRECTS IMPLEMENTATION OF EO 6 IN FULL FORCE

Following the instant judicial affirmation of the constitutionality and legality of the Executive Order 6 (EO6), President Muhammadu Buhari has mandated the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Minister of Justice to implement the Order in full force.

To this end, a number of enforcement procedures are currently in place by which the Nigeria Immigration Service and other security agencies have placed no fewer than 50 high profile persons directly affected by EO6 on watch-list and restricted them from leaving the county pending the determination of their cases.

Also, the financial transactions of these persons of interest are being monitored by the relevant agencies to ensure that the assets are not dissipated and such persons do not interfere with, nor howsoever corrupt the investigation and litigation processes.

It is instructive to note that EO6 was specifically directed to relevant law enforcement agencies to ensure that all assets within a minimum value of N50 million or equivalent, subject to investigation or litigation are protected from dissipation by employing all available lawful means, pending the final determination of any corruption-related matter.

The Buhari administration reassures all well-meaning and patriotic Nigerians of its commitment to the fight against corruption, in accordance with the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and the general principles of the Rule of Law.

Accordingly, this administration will uphold the rule of law in all its actions and the right of citizens would be protected as guaranteed by the Constitution.

We, therefore, enjoin all Nigerians to cooperate with the law enforcement authorities towards ensuring a successful implementation of the Executive Order 6 which is a paradigm-changing policy of the Federal Government in the fight against corruption.

Mine is LG 32" LJ500D Model. I just plugged in my GOTV antenna directly to it and scanned only to receive 250 channels on DTV which included both GOTV and Startimes channels, two radio stations also came up and two local tv stations.

But I could only view the free ones: Discovery Family, NTAi, and the adverts.

Thanks for all the enlightenment thrown about it. I though I could subscribe them and dump my decoder

Investment / The Obvious Risk In Doing Mmm 2018 by GoddonBishop: 10:15pm On Nov 09, 2017
Every new participant is required to read and agree to the RISKS before providing any donations to the MMM Global Community.

The MMM Community is built on the principles of mutual aid and benevolence. As a result, MMM is much more progressive than any other commercial company. In a commercial company, money is a goal. And if the company is not profitable, it goes bankrupt and closes down. MMM doesn’t keep money, but simply join together people willing to provide assistance to those who are willing to receive it. Therefore, MMM can’t go bankrupt. The founder and leaders of MMM are public figures. They regularly record video messages. Since January 10, 2011 MMM has never stopped its activity. It is impossible that one day MMM will close down and will cease to exist.

Jobs/Vacancies / Bank Of Industry Youth Entrepreneurship Support (yes) Programme by GoddonBishop: 11:39am On Jul 14, 2016
The Youth Entrepreneurship Support (YES) programme is an ambitious programme by the Bank of Industry (BOI) aimed at addressing youth unemployment in Nigeria which is currently over 50%. According to a 2013 survey by the Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER), most of the capacity building programmes aimed at addressing youth unemployment, have concentrated more on training without any tie-in to the provision of small business loans, which is a critical success factor to the establishment of small businesses. In addition, they hardly take care of the entire training value chain in terms of Entrepreneurship, Business Management and Technical Skills.
The YES Programme
BOI’s approach to tackling the youth capacity building challenge is to focus on young aspiring entrepreneurs within the age bracket of 18 – 35 years that have viable business ideas by developing a Product Program - Youth Enterprise Support Programme (YES Programme), for empowering them. This crop of Nigerians forms a significant proportion of unemployed youth in the country.
Components of the YES Programme
The YES Programme comprises the following:

Eight (cool weeks intensive online Entrepreneurship and Business Management training which has the ability to test participants’ understanding and track their progress.
Five (5) days in-class Entrepreneurship and Business Management training
Technical skills training in partnership with the various technical training and vocational institutes in the country.
Financing the businesses by BOI under its SME Cluster initiative in consonance with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa’s Commodity-based Industrialisation Strategy.

Programme Objectives
The YES Programme has the following broad objectives:

To create an interactive learning platform to train young aspiring entrepreneurs in entrepreneurship and business management that will ultimately translate into improved efficiency and productivity.
To kindle the entrepreneurial spirit of the youths.
To act as an incubation center where business ideas are nurtured to their full potential as well as entrenching global best practices by inculcating a culture of innovation-driven entrepreneurship and ethics in the programme participants.
Promotion of self-employment among graduates of institutions of higher learning, thereby changing their job-seeking mindset.
To deepen financial inclusion by de-risking the young aspiring entrepreneurs and making them eligible for small business loans to be provided by BOI.

The truth be told. Guess it's usually bitter though. With or without customers Airtel will definitely survive. I believe. But am I missing something? I just looked back at the history of this company and couldn't answer these questions. Where is Econet? Sorry I meant Vmobile or was it Zain? My bad. I don't even know what the real name is yet. I guess after the blockage of the BIS we will know the real name of the network we now know as Airtel. I rest my case. No hard feelings.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Ministry Denies Charging Fees For Recruitment by GoddonBishop: 1:29pm On Sep 26, 2013
Sincerely I doubt if that 1000NGN will be refunded. Rather they will come up with another reason for candidates not to collect back their money. Though, for now some Banks such as Ecobank, Diamond and UBA have stopped receiving the money. They claim the officers in charge of the collections are not on seat. Let us keep our ears to the ground for the next move of the authorities involved.

The Ministry of Interior on Tuesday denied charging fees from applicants seeking work at the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Mrs Fatima Bamidele, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, said in a statement that the ministry did not collect N1,000 as processing fee from applicants.

According to the statement, Bamidele denied the allegation when she received representatives of the Nigerian Unemployed Youths Vanguard led by its national coordinator, Mr Solomon Adodo.

"For the avoidance of doubt, the Ministry of Interior and the Nigeria Immigration Service do not charge and will not accept money for jobs.

"Anybody who demands for and accepts money or bribes for jobs in the ministry will be appropriately sanctioned in line with extant regulations guiding discipline in the service," she said.

The permanent secretary said that the current recruitment was in continuation of an earlier effort by the ministry to recruit officers into the Nigeria Immigration Service.

She further explained that the exercise that was done manually was marred with controversy and had to be discontinued.

"Consequently, a new ICT based recruitment exercise had to be adopted for the purpose of fairness, transparency and accountability in line with the transformation agenda of the government.

"A consultant was engaged to provide an Internet platform to enable applicants access the application forms that will enable the ministry process the applications," she said.

She said the consultant was authorised to charge a maximum processing fee of N1,000 per applicant to cover the cost of a scratch card to gain access to the site.

"This is intended to save the applicants the cost of travelling to Abuja to submit their applications, as well as avoid other inherent risks including unauthorised middlemen activities and other abuses.

"It is also against the backdrop of an earlier exercise where everyone converged on a common place resulting in a stampede and loss of some lives," Bamidele said.

Earlier, the leader of the group called for a stop to the collection of the N1,000 being charged for completing the online application forms.

Adodo also said money collected from job seekers should be refunded.

The group also urged the ministry to ensure that the on-going recruitment exercise is conducted in a fair and unprejudiced manner.
