The north just want to be in power all the time.

You may think they are interested in national progress, but they are not .

They just want to remain in power as if they are the only tribe entitled to power in Nigeria.

I am not a fan of Tinubu, but I wonder why these same people were silence when buhari was the president.

The north will dare not stop the south from 2 terms. I don't care if it is Tinubu or anyone, the south must complete 8 yrs in aso rock.

This is regional administration taking shape.

If the President is re-elected, and the economy continues to improve, in about 4 years time, I can imagine the President wanting several federal government responsibilities delegated to regional Commissions.

If each regional commission can be getting N1 trillion subvention in 4 years time, and more in future years, that will transform them into administrative power houses.

The management of all existing federal roads within their respective regions can be handed over to them. Agricultural development, housing etc, even health can be handed over to them.

The federal government should focus on defense, foreign affairs, internal affairs (interior), and national economy.

If Mr Tinubu can deliver all these before he leaves government, thereby reducing the focus on the centre, he would have delivered an acceptable form of regional administration without the North being able to block it.

About Obi and far north votes…

The only reason Obi seemed to perform poorly in far north was because of his running mate in 2023 who was not popular with the talakawas of the north. Substitute Datti for Tambuwal with the backing of northern oligarchs who would dispatch Imams and their foot soldiers to campaign positively for Obi, and you see the sentiment change and his votes skyrocket.

Of course you know Southeast and Southsouth is Obi’s place any day, and even large part of MiddleBelt.

It will be in Atiku and north’s best interest to step down their interest for Peter Obi or Tinubu does his 8 years.

At the end of the day, the north may decide to let Tinubu finish his 8 years because another fresh southerner will definitely use the power of incumbency to spend 8 yrs , shutting the northerners out of the corridor of power for 12 yrs.
