Igbos are not your father's mate.
If you want to understand the Igbo, then you will have to rise above common sense.

Igbo is like the Bible. You can't read it like ordinary book.
Good morning!

Igbos are the most confused, downgraded, under rated and irrelevant tribe in Nigeria.

Stop hyping a 4th class tribe who are only rated after cows.

1. Hausas
2. Yorubas
3. Niger Deltas
4. Cows
5. Igbos

We stopped you from protesting in the SW.
We are running our show and you can see how peaceful it has been so far. Unlike the EndSars protest that you people hijacked and turned to violence.

You cowards can't even protest in your failed region because there is no way you guys can maintain a peaceful protest because you don't know how to conduct yourselves peacefully.

Igbos are so so powerful to convinced the northerners and even Tinubu brothers in south west to protest against their own failure brother then opted out of the protest. The Igbos owned the zoo and all that is inside.

Deep down your shallow mind, you must be so pained and disappointed that there records of violence and destruction of properties in the SW so far.
The reason is not unconnected to the fact that igbos were not allowed to protest in the SW.

A bottle of Fanta at 2.50k in 1988 is very expensive na.

That means a bottle of Fanta in nicon Hilton in 1988 is more expensive than a bag of cement then.

Those big hotel have been ripping people since time immemorial.

What is the national minimum wage of civil servants in 1988?

EyeCumInPiss:

Let's do small arithmetic:

Fanta in Hilton in 1988 =ā‚¦2.50
Fanta in Hilton in 2024 =ā‚¦750.00

So Fanta increased 300times in 36years

Therefore in next 36years (year 2060), price of Fanta in Hilton will be:
300Ɨā‚¦750 =ā‚¦225,000.00 cool

Provided that is 'all things being equal' till the next 36 yrs.

But in reality, that is not possible.

The same Solomon Dalung the was the minister of sport and youth development during bubu's poor administration.

These guys are part of the problem the youths are facing today.

He was among the non-performing ministers during buhari's tenure.

The protesting youths should not allow Dalung to stay in their midst.

Who will find solutions?

The government or the masses?

Why are the leaders elected into office? To eat, drink and implement anti people's policies while the masses who risked their lives to elect them are dying of hunger?

Do primary duty of the government is to provide solutions to the various challenges. The masses have the constitutional right the express their grievances through Peaceful protest if the government fail to perform their primary duties.

You have been littering all the threads with your nonsense talk of 'this protest will not yield any results' bla bla..
The protest is already yielding results even before it started.

Lol. Protest day again?

I hope those who think shouting on the streets will change anything have their heads checked.

This is just another day for the noise makers and the hungry crowd looking for a free meal. Itā€™s like they donā€™t learn from history.

Last time, what did they achieve? Nothing but a few broken bottles and some government officials laughing behind closed doors.

The same politicians they want to challenge are probably laughing at them right now, planning their next moves while these protesters think theyā€™re making a difference.

Just another display of futility, really. If you ask me, they should save their energy for real change instead of parading on the streets like lost sheep.

You can't fight against the masses. These silly polithiefians you are defending are not up 1% of the entire population of Nigeria.

The protest is already yielding results even before it started. The proposed protest has made the president to implement many good policies in the last 72 hours.

Finally, some good news for our people! With the rising cost of living, this initiative by the FG to provide rice at a subsidized rate is a step in the right direction.

It's about time we prioritize food security and make essentials accessible to all. This will not only ease the burden on families but also promote local farmers.

I hope the distribution is transparent and reaches the intended beneficiaries without any hitches. Let's support our government in this effort!

For how long will you continue to deceive yourself?

Tinubu is a spending man, he will widen the tax net as much as possible to raise more money for spending..

He may even consider printing more money if the needs arise.

He doesn't care if his policies can be counter-productive in the long-run. As long as money is available to spend and bribe his cronies.

seunmsg:

We are Yorubas and we are sensible people. We pick our fights carefully and donā€™t allow our enemies to gaslight us into fighting an unnecessary fight.

When we were fighting for the his democracy, Igbo leaders were laughing at us and sleeping in bed with Abacha. When MKO was in jail and others in exile, Ojo Madueke, Daniel Kanu, Peter Obi were in bed with Abacha. We fought alone and never cared if they join us in the struggle. Today, we are all enjoying the democracy together.

When we protested in 2012, no single person joined the protest from South east and south south. They told us they canā€™t fight against their son and benefactor. We fought the battle alone.

In 2020 during the Endsars protest, northerners across NW and NE denounced the protest. They refused to protest against their own.

So, why should Yoruba people be foolish to protest against one of their own? Stupidity? We have a saying in Yoruba land that ā€œOmo eni okin sedi bebere, Kafi Ileke Sidi omo elomiā€. We canā€™t have our son as the president and be supporting his detractors to bring him down through a politically motivated insurrection.

Finally, read and digest the two attached tweets.

At the bolded
What democracy are you enjoying together?
Is the current economic situation what you call enjoyment?

Are you buying a bag of rice and other food stuff cheaper than what others are buying them because your 'our own son's is the president?

I am a Yoruba man and I don't support the planned protest at all, but it is not because 'our own son' is the president.

I was laughing at the clowns who are suffering from memory loss when they were hailing Tinubu.

Nigeria has sold its crude oil in advance. So where would NNPC get the one they will sell to Dangote?

This is public knowledge. Dangote imported crude oil from other countries because NNPC has sold our crude oil in advance to pay for loans.

At the bold, it would have been better if they used our crude to pay for loans, at least we would know we are not owing any debts any more.

The reality is the actually used our crudes to obtain loans . We don't even know what they did with the loans and no body is asking questions.
