Satazaa:
What a dumb accusation of him being a monopolist, this marketers are shylocks who continually imported substandard fuel for years and depleted and pressured our currency with their enormous demands for dollar which eventually left our naira devalued and in tatters today, so between having a patriotic Dangote as a monopolist and the mindless cabals who have raped us for years which should we prefer
Who told you that dangote is a patriotic monopolist?

Are you living here in Nigeria or you are typing from outside Africa

Christ4ever:
Dangote is wrong this. The monopolist wants to weep up sentiments again but this is dead on arrival.

We are not falling for this blackmail. If the inferior fuel has not damaged our engines after years of importation, then it's not about to change now.

Major marketers like Total, MRS, etc. will stop importing the day buying from you becomes less expensive. This is common sense.

How much they sell theirs in the coming days will let us know if both you and NNPC are reaping us.

Your company issues press statements everyday yet you still haven't published how much you sell your fuel till now.

What exactly are you hiding? Why is this too hard for you?
Many of you are beginning to see clearly what we have been saying about dangote.

All fingers crossed till October 1st when he will begin to buy crude from nnpcl in naira.

The price he will announce will determine if marketers will continue importation or not.

If dangote decides to sell petrol to marketers at higher cost after purchasing crude in naira, marketers will continue to import fuel and Nigeria may be forced to start selling crude to hom in dollars while dangote continues to export his products.

givedemwotowoto:
Even Obasanjo, GEJ, Atiku and others share the same fuel subsidy removal ideology.

Nobody asked Tinubu to announce its removal from day 1 without doing it gradually, first providing a cushion, and fighting corruption and illegalities in the upstream/downstream sectors

Nobody asked Tinubu to announce the floating of the naira at the same time while all these were fuel subsidy wahala was happening

Your argument is very irrational.

Also, your argument about SE and Obi is ignorant. SE saw the future and picked the best candidates. It's a bitter pill to swallow for most of you so you must come up with some propaganda to shift blame of supporting the worst 2 candidates in Nigeria's history.

This is the breakdown of SE votes % since 1999 (bitter pill to swallow):

1999 (Obasanjo vs Olu Falae): 86% (Obasanjo), 14% (Falae)

2003 (Obasanjo vs. Buhari vs Ojukwu): 65% (Obasanjo), 28% (Ojukwu), 7% (Buhari). Buhari had Igbo running mate

2007 (Yaradua vs. Buhari): 97% (Yaradua), 3% (Buhari). Buhari had Igbo running mate

2011 (Goodluck vs Buhari): 98% (Goodluck), 2% (Buhari)

2015 (Goodluck vs Buhari): 93% (Goodluck), 7% (Buhari)

2023 (Peter Obi vs. Tinubu vs. Atiku): 91% (PO), 5% (Tinubu), 4% (Atiku)

Why only 28% for Ojukwu if it was about tribe? Ojukwu didn't even win any state in the SE at the presidential election.

Meanwhile from 2007 till 2023, the following Igbos contested the presidential election:

2007: Orji Uzo Kalu (3% of votes in the SE)

2011: Pat Utomi (less than 1% of votes in the SE)

2019: Kingsley Moghalu (less than 1% of votes in the SE)

2023: Peter Obi (91% of votes in the SE)

Show me again where tribe played any significant role in the SE more than any other region in Nigeria

Meanwhile in 2003 and 2007, Buhari had Igbo running mates
You calmed you guys saw the future that was why obi secured 92% votes in your region.
But you guys didn't see the future when most of you where insulting the same obi and calling manners of names when he was anambra state governor.
Has obi changed?

Mind you, I didn't vote for balablu. Infact I voted for Sowore 🙂.
I only responded to the OP because majority of you are all ready blaming all yorubas for the failure of Tinubu, forgetting that not all of us voted for him .

MEEVEET:
U have to be dumb to think subsidy removal is the cause of this issue

Fact is tinubu has never removed subsidy no once it was just lips service in fact we are paying far more now for subsidy than ever before

2) igbos have always voted same way, same ideology, we vote in one direction so what is your point?
Reckless subsidy removal and naira devaluation is the cause of the current economic situation. If you don't know this, it means you don't know anything.
Obi also share same ideology of subsidy removal and naira devaluation.
You have to be dumb to think the economy would be better under obi if he had to followed the path of balablu as promised.

Shut up already.

There is no tribe that is more vocal against Tinubu than the yorubas. Even the recent protest which you cowards boycotted was engineered by the yorubas.

Mind you, only about 54% registered voters from the SW voted for balablu.

Whereas 92% voters voted for obi in the SE, a clown who share the same ideology of subsidy removal like Tinubu.

Politics › Re: More Refineries Shut Down in Europe Reports Say by Godfullsam(m): 8:29am On Sep 17, 2024
danzaki63:
To partially answer your question, Dangote will not only supply Nigeria, it will meet the need of many African Countries and even some european countries too, because our Naira is weak and hence it will be cheaper to buy from Dangote.
secondly, Many european countries are going green, by buying more Electric cars and so on.
As the report says they are converting their refineries to non fossil refineries.

At the rate Electric cars are being manufactured, even Dangote will have to convert part of the rifinery in future to non fossil oils.
At the bolded, I thought dangote refinery will sell fuel to other countries in dollars.
The current weakness of the naira will have no role to play in this scenario.

Even nnpcl are going to be buying from dangote in dollars until October 1st when we begin to sell crude to him him naira.
Politics › Re: More Refineries Shut Down in Europe Reports Say by Godfullsam(m): 5:25pm On Sep 16, 2024
I still don't understand why other European refineries will shut down because of dangote's refinery.

Does that mean all these refineries are only supplying fuel to Nigeria?

Or is dangote planning to flood the European markets with cheaper petroleum products than these other refineries? (Which I seriously doubt)

I don't get it.

Even Nigerians who are suppose to be highest beneficiary of the dangote refinery will now be forced to buy fuel much high than the imported fuel.

Great move.
But that is not the solution.
Every state should have state owned petrol stations to check these private owned stations.
If any one becomes greedy, they are pushed out of business.
Even the state or government owned stations will soon join them to dupe people.
Except if they are not managed by humans from Nigeria.

So Dangote crashed diesel price to N900 and the wicked, unpatriotic marketers refused to buy from him?
The marketers are complaining because they can cannot sell the millions of litres of diesel they have in stock at a lower price. It will be a disaster for them.

They are always happy when the price of petroleum products are increased so that they can quickly jack up the price of the product they already have and make quick dubious gains.

Oil marketers and fuel station operators are evil .
