From the little i know. One of your first four offsprings will be SS. It just wasn't dictated which of them. Since your first born is SS, be rest assured the kids that come after will be safe from this hedious and energy consuming genotype. My brother is of the genotype SC, a very rare one. He's got his problems but with the right medication and care, he's good to go. Same with your kid. God help us.

Don't ever compare SC and SS.... SS is worse... SC is more manageable and better and less crisis.... the only problem with SC is it affects the joints in the body especially the legs. but SS involves fainting, full body pain, joint pains all over the body, some SS can't stand for long or walk long distances.

i don't think zika will thrive in Nigeria, if the baby,s head shape is anything to go by, then i think zika has been a guest here in Nigeria,i,ve seen grown ups and kids with this head shape in various parts of the country,we usually call them atutupoyoyo, but they are very few,i don't think nigerian mosquito will welcome zika, with the advent of treated mosquito nets and insecticides blood is in short supply for home based mosquito,i don't think they will be will to share with foreign based zika carrying mosquito.

In a shelter? Here in Nigeria or another country? Lool.

What of those who are the indigenes and that is their "family house" what happens to them? You don't just scream demolish the slums, profer a solution too.

Your mentality is a problem and so many other Nigerians think like you.

What's in building a shelter

The indigenes also contribute to it been dirty.. If their family owns land there then they will be compensated and evicted.

Demolish the slum and put the people living there where?

In a shelter or they go back to their family house.

Its not by force to live in a city they can't afford.

Most of you have heard different tales about the notorious Bariga. Here are photos from a part of the area. This side is the Araromi street side of Bariga which is dominated by the 'Ilajes' and the 'Eguns' and their most popular occupation there is fishing because the area faces the ocean around the Third Mainland Bridge.

Here, there is extreme poverty, as in E-X-T-R-E-M-E P-O-V-E-R-T-Y. Most of the women roast fish to survive, many of the ladies and guys take to all types of vices. There is only one school in the area(pictured below) provided by a white man who visited the area sometime ago. Yet, there are all sorts of talents in there. From rapping to dancing, the youths of the Barigahood possess them in abundants.

But it looks like government sees the people in this slum as outcasts because development is far away from that area, yet it's in a Mega City called Lagos. Past government rather than contributing to developing the area, visit some parts to destroy houses and render many homeless
Thus, the people have come to develop a deep hatred for the word 'government'.

Meanwhile, the guys and babes in this hood no dey smile at all O and their eyes dey red die! (if you know what we mean)

http://www.newseveryhour.com/2016/01/inside-notorious-bariga-ghetto-where.html

The govt is meant to demolish the whole slum... Including makoko..

Travel / Re: Ilupeju Lagos Landlords Prefer Indians And Lebanese To Nigerians by GodMode: 5:53pm On Jan 23, 2016
kabaka1:

Exactly! Inferiority complex is a serious problem amongst most Nigerian/Africans/blacks when they meet other races. I blame it on our govt and how our is run over the years

Did u read the article...

Indians and lebanese are willing to pay more for rent. They leave the house when they can't pay rent to avoid issues with the authorities because they don't have complete papers.

Unlike Nigerian tenants who would take the landlord to court when they can't pay rent and this makes them stay in the house for as long as the court case lasts without paying rent...

Its not inferiority complex.. There are families that live on rent money and they don't have jobs.. That's why most people think Yorubas are lazy..

Hmmm, I share your pains bro.
My dad also shared the atrocities of the civil war with me; he lost 2 of his best friends in the Ore war. He lost an acquaintance in the Casino Cinema bomb blast perpetrated at Adekunle Yaba by Biafra, he speaks about it now and he does not wanna remember. Most times, his eyes shot in red whenever he mentions the senseless wars. Wars are rife with such atrocities and the best we can do is to just forget such days. Anytime he depicts the gory, his 2 great pals, etc, I just laments.
Maybe, a revenge for the death of his friends would be smart to weak-minded people. But, I've chosen to look beyond such histories.
Do you know the people of Ibadan and Ekiti were enemies for more than 40 yrs? Bitterness won't help us. Only by forgiveness can we spite the likes of those elders who will be interested in perpetrating a senseless war they couldn't stop.
Let's take exceptions of the older generations folly.

GOD BLESS YOU.

Oyo and ekiti were never enemies.

The cultures are not alike... Yoruba culture is currently sweeping throughout Africa.. Everyone is tying gele on their heads.. Even northerners are copying the culture in their dressing.

Poverty will not let them see beyond their noses...and they lack exposure badly. I doubt they read news beyond nairaland. See Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta State give out his daughter in marriage to a Yoruba guy called Daramola

http://aniomawatch..com.ng/2015/12/okowa-gives-out-daughter-in-marriage.html?m=1

Is it the hopeless and hateful children here that a sensible person should listen to?

Delta state is an itsekiri state which is part of the yoruba tribe.

Its the creation of states that made the itsekiri kingdom(now Delta state) part of the south south.
