What are you saying? If Ndigbo have been migrating out the way majority of Yorubas are thinking then all Igboland would have been empty by now. How long does it take Lagos to get very dry during the Christmas season? That will make you understand what I'm talking about.

That igbos have been migrating in large numbers does not mean there aren't millions of igbos who live in the SE and have never left the SE...

Lagos doesn't get dry during christmasgringrin some people spend their christmas in Lagos..

It will be difficult to convince you but I'll try. I know you're one of the many Yorubas who think Igboland starts and finishes with onitsha, Enugu, Owerri and Aba. Do you know there are yorubas doing business in my town? Do you know we have buses going to Lagos everyday from my town? Do you know there are five of the well known banks in my town? Those big houses that many Igbos here display on nairaland, do you think its all made up? Many Igbo people travel to Lagos daily to buy things and still return back to Igboland. Do you think the transport owners go back empty? Oh maybe you're a kid you can't really add one and two.

You're very wrong...

Its the same with the Syrians migrating because of war...

Lots of Igbos migrated out of SE to the SW after the biafra war.

The igbos that could afford to migrate overseas migrated.

The biafra war experience by the older igbos is been passed down to younger igbos and some younger igbos are migrating to avoid such.

Empty head, so you don't know that Togo has indigenous Yoruba tribe in their country, Adebayor is a Togolese and don't even know his root in Nigeria. There is no quota system is beauty contest. What silverbird does is to allow all the Contestants to contest and they will pick the best 36 and ask them to pick a state to represent, so you will not blame them if all the winners are Igbo. The best 36 out of more then 350 girls are the most beautiful with brain.

The issues that can lead to a civil war is already on ground.

You keep calling "Nigerians" when this is obviously a southern Nigeria issue.. Since most northerners are not condemning it you should already know or guess how things will be when the problems explodes..

I showed you those comments from past leaders to let you know that Nigeria can never be united.. Cos most tribes don't respect each other especially the men...

Unless you're living outside Nigeria, you better be bothered... Cause it can lead to another civil war. When "some idiotss from the South West" start killing the herdsmen your South East idiots will see it as an opportunity to vent their hatred on the South West..

You may even support it instead of wondering why they are not avenging the "molested Nigerians"..

This issue of fulani raping and killing innocent women is getting out of hand,it's either we put all hands on deck and stop this evil or we sit back on nairaland and throw attacks while Nigeria continues to boil. That is my message, you are free to take it or go ahead with your tribalistic jibberish. There are people that have made up their minds to be nairaland bigots, and there is nothing that can change them.

Have you seen any northern politician condemn the herdsmen

Nobody is blaming you for anything. The war was caused by a group of people(igbo and yoruba) who couldn't think and execute their plans according. So i don't even understand your place and position in this igbos are blaming you. Once a tribalist, always a tribalist. You have an over exaggerated significance of your tribe in igbo affairs. The average igbo doesn't care if the yoruba hate or like him,he just goes about his normal business. You are the ones thirsty and hungry for igbo attention.

The war was caused by igbos and probably only one corrupt yoruba idiot..

Igbos had fought the northerners around 1955 before they started the main war..

Exactly, yorubas need an enlightened and highly skilled security network like C:IA, F:B:I e.t.c. This is what I mean by "ethnic militia"..

People whose only goal is to defend and find security risks and threats in SW.

Yorubas like t:inubu can't be trusted..

Militias are not formed on the internet, Talk is cheap. We must act within the law because that is our way. There is a tactical reality which Falae's kidnap showed. The forests are not adequately manned. If people can come from outside and move around for days then they must have done so several time before and know the lie of the land. What seems true also is this is more than can be said of our own people. They know our forests more than us . These are people who have probable walked from Calabar to Lagos several times.

So if you are going to start a so called militia who will fund it. They have an advantage. Their livelihood lies in the bush and so they are MOTIVATED ,very motivated. It is difficult to see how southerners can be motivated to stay in the bush for nothing or for pride. Ultimately money must come out. So the next question is will those Yorubas with money cough up? What is needed is thinkers and strategists not hotheads

You're choosing to defend on ONE end... when they attack villages they just attack..
For example, falae's kidnap where staffs ran for their lives and no armed security to defend the staffs and the herdmens still had confidence to go back to falae's place...

Using law is one end, what happens when the law can't defend you.. I hope you know laws can be broken and are usually broken..

Well you have to do so wisely and tactfully. Some of the politicians will have one eye on future federal ambitions and so have to tread wisely. Laws can be enacted without appearing to be reactionary or malicious thet is the Yoruba way we use the law not gra gra
You must also make sure that you make laws that are properly drafted so as to be constitutional so there is no argument just like when we deported those Igbos remember their case has now been dismissed

Their goal is to kill southerners, yorubas don't need laws they need a very strong ethnic militia to defend SW.

omonnakoda:
This is nonsense..Remember Sun Tzu in the art of war.
When you are strong act as if you are weak.
Do not be deceived by the show of weakness or be tempted into foolish triumphalism
Be wise like serpents

The real question is this: Are they paying to graze on the land? Do they pay tax.

This is just a strategic move as they realise they are not YET strong enough to be more assertive. The SW position should be uncompromising. This activity is not required and should be aggressively phased out.

It must be viewed in the context of the OTHER COMPETING interests in those lands.
With technology and investment

There is more than enough land in the north to raise cattle as long as we realize cattle owners must GROW or BUY what their animals eat. Nigeria now has a population of more than 150 million and we must use our land wisely and OPTIMALLY.

There is something we must not lose sight of:

These people are walking on foot several times a year across much of the South of Nigeria that means they even know the layout of the land more than the hosts EVIDENCE? The way they handled the kidnap of Falae. He said they were always on the move for days ( In your own territory?) What does that tell you>
Talk is cheap but people must wake up. The reason they are so free i because most people in the south have no use for the Land and are looking for Town jobs. Otherwise how were they able to move for days in the forest and not encounter anyone?

They now own the forest.Their only disadvantage is population. They are not Hausa who do not keep cattle and many Nigerian Fulani do not either. Those who own cattle bring in these Fulani from Niger,Mali Guinea etc .They have nothing to fear when they wreak havoc on villages because quite often their families are not even Nigerian.

What is the solution. ? There is no middle ground. Stop talking and making public pronouncements.
The South have one significant advantage. The State government has all the power too make laws on the subject This must be done smartly using tax,Licensing fees, public health measures etc.
e.g A government may require animals to graze only at specified locations and charge for this. Also require that animals only be moved from these locations by vehicles.
Government may require animals to be screened for a range of diseases at COST to owners.
Require insurance in case animals are infected and need to be culled.
If you cannot find an insurer willing to insure you you don't operate. There are many other measure that can raise the cost of doing business by as much as 50-100k per animal per year

Then there are security measures such as the registration. If you have a criminal record you do not operate. You mus have TB.
You must not carry firearms etc.
Penalties may include powers to confiscate entire herds.
Just like you have LASTMA you have a similar task force
State should also have a capacity evaluation to say HOW MANY ANIMALS they are willing to accommodate and therefore how many licences they will issue
This is not a matter for chest beating.
Put together a panel of experts draft the law do public hearing and put it to vote. Some states may even decide no nomadic activity AT ALL
It is a common mistake to say the constitution allows movement oof goods and services. Not true.

You cannot move a herd of pigs freely in Sokoto state. Anyway animals are not just goods they can carry disease and so subject to regulation.
Yes you can bring cows to come and sell but move move them to destroy crops on land that you do not own.Otherwise a snake keeper can start moving snakes all over the place.
What is needed is thoughtfulness and strategy with a clear goal. NO NOMADIC ACTIVITY
NO FREE LAND TO ANYONE

The ultimate question each state must ask itself is cui bono? Who benefits from this and who pays

Smart... But No nomadic activity should be allowed..

Adsense is not affiliate marketing..

Adsense is PPI(pay per impressions) and PPC(pay per click)..

Its affiliate marketing that requires a purchase.

I put "at least" $30,000 for her adsense because I'm not sure but it should be more than that.

$100,000 x 12 = "at least" $1.2m per year from adsense alone not including her normal ad rates.
