Hi Everyone,

Clarification is sought on a gift/benefit that looks too good to be true. Our house has received Energy Bills Support Scheme payment twice now (Oct &Nov) .I intend to return both as, I am getting uncomfortable. Are international students eligible for this ? Especially as the visa expressly states that we cannot have "no recourse to public funds"

Please I need to get this right. I don't want issues now or in the future .

how much, in Naira, does a family of 4 need as POF for UK? They are to join the PA who is a student, currently in UK as dependants.

Yes you can, the husband (sponsor) should ensure he provides a cover letter saying the POF is available for his wife

Depends on who the sponsor is to you. If it's your parents, then it okay to use their account as POF.

If not, please push the fund into your account.

Meanwhile, ensure you have fund before doing this UK japa thing so you can at least take care of yourself.

Please I want to know if one can use funds in a joint account of sponsor ( husband) and dependant ( wife) as POF? Or should the dependant just open a personal account and move the POF there.
The joint account is in both names and they share the same surname.
