Lol, I don't even think the bride price was up to 20k. My dad had little share. The only time we benefitted from it was wen he came for introduction, twas even little items the guy bought. But for the traditional wedding, my dad was very lenient and made sure the guy was comfortable with it. He brought little things, the yam he brought wasn't even up to 20tubbers yet, my dad family benefitted from it per say na family(egbe) in edo language. Even when they brought money to my grand ma, she took just 500naira, I was annoyed but they said we don't sell children.

NB: Make things easy for ur in laws for the sake of ur daughter. My sis was like collect everything from the guy, but my dad was just too cool. Ntn last forever. The food never finish, e don finish.
