Nah, When it comes to ticket sales and merchandise revenue, the USA women team comfortably outperforms the men team. FIFA prize money is probably the only area where the men can close the gap and even then I believe the figures would be close.

The Main point is that other football Fa especially those from the bigger countries should adopt a similar approach if they want to grow their womens team.

@bolded. This is copium at best. The men’s game is more lucrative than the women’s game. The women’s team only brought in more money circa 2019 because they won the World Cup (2015,2019) and the men didn’t qualify for Russia 2018 (first time since 1986).

The men’s prize pool is always bigger. The men have always brought in the larger share of revenue.

No other country does this rubbish. Athletes who aren’t participating in a tournament shouldn’t be getting half of the winnings from that competition, and this goes both ways.

This decision is only going to deter more talents from playing for the USMNT.

The last official time period available was from 2015 to 2018. I haven't find a recent update on their current revenue amount but I assume it will be more of the same considering the women game has gotten bigger.
