Mraphel:GOD bless you, Mraphel. You are a detribalized son of the East. God reward your objectivity and bless all that is connected to you. Amen. |
Harlem2:Well, as a man of many parts, I can answer you in my own little way. • Yorubaland is a land where there is already the advantage of diverse cultures doing diverse businesses. • It was at initially viewed as a disadvantage, but today it has come to be an advantage. (A typical Yoruba man in the 1940s to the late '60s would believe there were too many strangers in their lands, but today the diversity has given rise to many economic opportunities). • Decently large land mass. • There are few regions as advantaged (thriving industrial places, the most thriving Seaport and Airports) and hospitable (large pool of skilled and semi-skilled labour) as SW in Nigeria today. • Good weather. • Relative peace and security • Advantage of having the commercial capital of Nigeria (Lagos) close to their region. • From these indices you can understand the reasons. • Be free to develop other points from these. |
Princedapace:My brother, your views are mature and intelligent. |
Princedapace:It is an African thing, (only that it has the European name, Stockholm Syndrome) from the North up to South of Nigeria. But brethren from the East says they don't care who leads in one minute, the very next minute you hear "marginalization", so it is difficult to understand why they react to these types of comments (such as Junaid's). A lot of the Easterners believes secession is the best option. Same for a limited few from other regions, but many are okay with status quo. Similar to the lot who were quick to tell us IBB was a very good leader because of the ill-gotten wealth many of his cronies stole and frittered away back in those days. Today, they know better. In short, a Freedom Fighter in a clime, is a Terrorist against (to) another group. The insurgency in the North is a classic example of this Syndrome. The fools among the Northerners were thinking Boko Haram was their means of achieving a voice in the Land while the power was with a Southerner. Today, they are enjoying (suffering) the dividends of that evil. The first step at resolving Nigeria issues is solely by returning to the pre-independence Federation (or even a quasi-Regional) pattern. It takes elected leaders a painfully long time to realize that we are all in the sh-t together. Are their children and businesses safe today? They are only marginally better off when the card packs start to tumble down. |
Princedapace:My dear, your observation is very decent. Only that SE is not helping itself. Politics is a game of interest, intelligence and body language (polity). Since the start of IPOB distraction and hate speeches, how many Igbo politicians have actively come out to denounce that ill-advised adventure? At a convergence or at a gathering of politicians; leaders of other regions & power brokers would not really have much faith in the intentions of their colleagues from the SE. A team of leaders from a region actively campaigning for the break-up of a company or a country has put itself at a disadvantage already. ‘’You can’t be trusted to lead a country your kids have threatened to burn down naaa” Especially, when the elders from that place has made insignificant efforts at discouraging such pronouncements. If at all the adventure has been condemned by elected & respected SE leaders. Their opposition (conventionally acceptable, though) and apathy of their people did them no favors. At the corridors of powers, our mean leaders have labelled the region as “5%ters” and you know that numbers are important in that game called politics. The best leaders from the East can do is to ensure their region runs on a single voice. They have two options and both are WIN-WIN for them. I. Choose to be Biafrans and be unapologetic about it but forgo whatever packages they are enjoying from their offices as leaders in Nigeria. {It may be successful even, without bloodshed if they speak with same voice and are ready to forgo the luxuries of benefiting from Nigeria, YOU CAN’T EAT YOUR CAKE AND EXPECT TO STILL HAVE IT ON YOUR PLATE)} II. Or stay with Nigeria and condemn their kids drumming for break-up. If only they can take A STAND, they shall achieve success. But Igbo problems are self-defeatism, internal division and indecision. |
hisexcellency34:REALLY DEEP. |
7lives:Chai, chai, chai!!! Naked Truth. |
Greenarrow01:Please, I need to appreciate the efforts you and many NLders have made in reaching out to that our person. Please let us know how he is faring. Much love & God bless. |
selemempe:Truly, you are right, foolishness is universal. Nnamdi Kanu, Omokri, FFK etc are also bona-fide examples. May God save this land from such elements. Their mission may be good, but they lack wisdom. |
selemempe:His descendants are still plenty in the land, rash and brash fellows, who would rather act before thinking. |
nkwuocha:Even your Papa, the He-goat cannot ask my dog a question. I believe you missed road. |
VillagePipu:Villa, please forgive the dimwit. See, their lives in 4k HD below: The only governor of the 1999-2007 class known to have stolen the state's funds and resources by the SE young adults is Tinubu. Our own governors who stole us into penury are innocent and we have continued to love them, even though our parents and grand-parents are owed arrears of pensions and salaries ranging from 9-36 months resulting from mismanagement of funds and resources of our states. Tinubu's 'class mates' between 1999-2007 in the SE were; Orji Uzor Kau - Abia Achike Udenwa- Imo Chinweoke Mbadinuju - Anambra Sam Egwu- Ebonyi Chimaroake Nnamani - Enugu None of these guys laid any foundation for our states. They stole and left everything haphazard. The much they did was to recruit successors who stole better than they did. Within his imperfection, Tinubu laid a foundation for Lagos and as it appears, Lagos has continued to progress, however little it is. The same IPOB kids do not want to leave the Lagos they claim Tinubu has destroyed for their respective states - their Cannan full of milk and honey. No IPOB child on FB ever mentions any of our loved thieves on comment threads as thieves who messed up our states - ONLY Tinubu. Are you from Lagos State? There is no 'dual-stateship' to my knowledge in Nigeria. Were your goverors personal assistants to Tinubu in their respective states? Same Tinubu was a private citizen between 2007-2015 under the rulership of their master PDP. However, as unofficially agreed by us in spirit not in truth, our master PDP has only one job to do - STEAL, while we vote and hail their master. For 8 years, Tinubu was ok under their master PDP. But it became the job of their hate personality, my good friend, Mr Okechukwu Buhari to crucify Tinubu on the cross with truck loads of 18-inch nails while their governors go to the same Lagos to buy and build houses. Do you not have shame? Until my brothers and sisters learn to play politics OUT OF HATE, we will continue to be a laughing stock in our land. By Khojo Obinna Nwaeze |
nkwuocha:Oponu Las las, you showed the world how confused you are. Imagine how you contradicted yourself blatantly. Obviously, your post have identified your level of stupidity. Politics and intelligent matters are way beyond your IQ. Go to jokes section and stop embarrassing yourself here. Bye bye, clown. |
nwanyionitsha:Mumu. You are not intelligent enough for this type of discussion then. Go back to join your peers at the playground then. Bye bye kiddo. |
