*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *WISDOM TO DISCERN RIGHT FROM WRONG* Tuesday, July 2nd . Pastor Chris _*Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin (James 4:17).*_ Our opening scripture reveals something quite striking. It says if you know the right thing to do and don’t do it, to you, it’s a sin. That thing may not be a sin to someone else but it is a sin to you because you knew it was the right thing to do but you didn’t do it. This is one major reason God’s people need to understand the workings and guidance of divine wisdom in their lives. Wisdom gives you the ability to decide and discern right from wrong. Wisdom helps you distinguish righteousness from evil. There’re three major kinds of wisdom the Word of God talks about, and the Greek words for them are “Sophia,” “Sunesis” and “Phronesis.” “Sophia” is theoretical wisdom, the insight that God gives you into reality. “Sunesis” is comprehension, perception, understanding, the ability to understand concepts and see relationships between them. It suggests quickness of apprehension, the penetrating consideration which precedes action. But when we say wisdom is the ability to decide and discern right from wrong, we’re referring to “Phronesis,” which is practical wisdom. “Phronesis” is a mindset, the mindset of the righteous; it’s a force. When we say wisdom is a force, we’re referring to “Phronesis.” “Phronesis” is that disposition of being in the will of God beyond your reasoning. It’s a special spiritual elixir that locates you within the framework or ambits of God’s will beyond your understanding. It locates you in the places where you ought to be; it causes you to do the things you ought to do without having to reason them out first, because it has created a mindset within your system. It’s your default setting to only talk right, think right, live right, and do right. It’s a programming. If therefore you know what is right by “Sophia” and you don’t do it, then it means you lack “Phronesis.” “Phronesis” is a propeller. It helps you see what you should see that others may not see. The beautiful thing is, you can develop yourself to function always in “Phronesis” through conscious and constant meditation on the Word of God. *PRAYER* *Dear Father, as I yield myself to the guidance of your Spirit, I function with an increased manifestation of practical wisdom—the mindset of the righteous. I’m programmed to think, talk, live and act right, and walk consistently in the light of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Proverbs 3:13-18* Happy [is] the man [that] findeth wisdom, and the man [that] getteth understanding. 14 For the merchandise of it [is] better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15 She [is] more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. 16 Length of days [is] in her right hand; [and] in her left hand riches and honour. 17 Her ways [are] ways of pleasantness, and all her paths [are] peace. 18 She [is] a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy [is every one] that retaineth her. *||* *||* *Colossians 1:9* For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; *||* *||* *Ephesians 5:15-17* See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is]. *||* *IF YOU ARE NOT YET BORN AGAIN, KINDLY SAY THIS PRAYER TO RECEIVE SALVATION NOW!🤲=>* https:///salvation-link *GIVE TO SPONSOR COPIES OF RHAPSODY OF REALITIES AS A GLOBAL AGENT OF CHANGE TODAY!💵💷💶💳📲🌍=>* https:///3PGXMWi *RHAPSODY SUBSCRIPTION=>* https:///3vUBdST *🌟You Are Blessed To Be The Light Of The World! Rhapsody of Realities Saturday, June 29, 2024 DISTINCT PURPOSES OF THE FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY GIFTS. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12). The Apostle Paul highlights the distinct purposes of the five-fold ministry gifts in the Body of Christ. They’re for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. Some Bible translations wrongly assume that the passage presents a single unified purpose, extending fromthe first line to the last due to the lack of punctuation in the manuscripts. However, a closer examination, supported by contextual analysis and comparison with other Scriptures reveals distinct purposes outlined by Paul. Some other Bible translations wrongly phrased the statement as "for the perfecting of the saints, so that the saints can do the work of the ministry, which is the edifying of the Body of Christ." But that's a misconception. Three distinct purposes for the ministry gifts are, first, to perfect or equip the saints. Secondly, they’re for the work of the ministry itself. Thirdly, they are for the edification of the Body of Christ. So, it's not stating that the saints themselves will edify the Body of Christ, but rather, the five-fold offices listed in verse 11 are responsible for building up the Body of Christ. Of course, when every part of the Body functions as it should, the entire Body is edified. Ephesians 4:16 (NIV) tells us,. "From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Also, Colossians 2:19 says,. And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God."*_ However, in Ephesians 4, Paul directs attention to the distinct purposes assigned to ministry gifts for equipping the saints, the work of the ministry, and building up the Church. PRAYER Dear Father, I’m equipped, edified, and built up in the Body of Christ through the ministry gifts. I don’t walk in darkness, weakness, or live in stagnation, for I’m always fruitful, productive and abounding in every good work. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: Ephesians 4:11-13. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 📅 FRI. 28TH JUNE 2024 BUILDING SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY 📖━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105). Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ There’re many who are ignorant of spiritual matters, and for that reason, they’re buffeted by the crises of life and walk on in confusion. So, it’s important to build your spiritual sensitivity. For that to happen, you've got to study and understand the Word, to know the mind of God. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Also, as you study the Word, train yourself to act on it promptly. This should be natural for every Christian because we’re doers of the Word (James 1:22). By responding promptly to the Word of God, you condition your spirit to recognize the effect of the Word in your life. That way, when you face challenges, you respond with the Word; you voice your faith. This practice trains your spirit to consistently align and respond to God rather than succumbing to the dictates of the flesh. Also, in training yourself to be more spiritually sensitive you must be filled with the Spirit every day. Incorporate praying in the Spirit into your spiritual routine. 1 Corinthians 14:14 says, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.” Praying in tongues or praying in the Spirit enhances your spiritual sensitivity as it involves the Holy Spirit providing utterance to your spirit. When you speak in tongues, it’s the Holy Spirit guiding your spirit's expressions. Your spirit, through this process, learns to function under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, contributing significantly to an increased sensitivity to God's leading. 🗣 C O N F E S S I O N ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ As I study and meditate on the Word, my spirit is conditioned to respond swiftly to God’s guidance, promptings, ideas and thoughts. Also, my spiritual sensitivity is increased and heightened because I’m full of the Spirit always, praying in the Holy Ghost. I’m perceptive, insightful, filled with the Spirit of wisdom for revelation, to know and walk in the perfect will of God today and always, in Jesus' Name. Amen. 📖 FURTHER STUDY: ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ James 1:22;But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. Ephesians 5:18-20; And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; [19] speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; [20] giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 1 Corinthians 14:2 & 13-15; For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. [13] Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. [14] For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. [15] What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Acts 13:13-52 & Nehemiah 9-10 2 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: 2 Corinthians 10:1-7 & Isaiah 17 Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional |
*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *GIVE VALUE TO YOUR RESOURCES* Tuesday, June 25th . Pastor Chris _*But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).*_ The way to give value and direction to your resources is to invest them in the Kingdom of God. Outside of the Kingdom of God, money holds little significance. There isn't anyone who doesn't have money. Do you know why? Because everything holds value—everything has worth. That means currency isn’t the real money; it’s just what is used in measuring the real money. Therefore, in a sense, everything is money. Once you comprehend this, you'll realise that God has bestowed upon you the wisdom to manage finances. The reason those who are labelled wealthy seem to have the advantage over those termed as poor is due to their understanding of this mystery. Once you gain the same understanding, suddenly you’ll start seeing value in everything that God gives you. Everything that God gives you suddenly has power, and then you discover you can do anything and have anything. With this understanding, the words of the Lord Jesus will mean more to you. He said, _*“…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”*_ (Mark 16:15). Commit your resources to this. Make it possible for more and more people to receive God’s Word by sponsoring the distribution of Bibles and Rhapsody of Realities around the world. Make it your mission to take the Gospel to every man’s world. This is the way to expand your reach for the Kingdom and make a quick and lasting impact. *PRAYER* *Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom to understand the true value of the resources you’ve given to me; I’m conscious that you’ve made all grace abound towards me so that I’m divinely enabled to give immensely towards Kingdom expansion. I utilise the abundance you've provided for your Kingdom's advancement. I’ll steward my resources effectively, in Jesus' Name. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *INCREASING HIS GLORY IN YOUR LIFE* Saturday, June 22nd . Pastor Chris _*And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him (Colossians 3:10).*_ The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 5:14-16, _*"Ye are the light of the world…Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."*_ So, you can let your light shine as brightly as you want; it’s up to you. Isaiah 60:1 says, _*“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”*_ The Lord Jesus said in John 17:22, _*“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them....”*_ God made you the expression of His glory. But what is glory? Glory is great honour, praise or distinction. It’s majestic beauty and splendour, resplendence, excellence. So, when God made man, He made him for glory, and everything about man was praiseworthy. But did you know that you have a mission, a divine assignment, to increase and manifest the glory of God in your life? Each one of us carries the glory of God to a certain measure, and how brightly we manifest that glory is within our control. Our opening verse gives us an idea of how this happens. Let’s read it again, this time, from the Amplified Classic version. It says, _*“And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it.”*_ The word "knowledge" in the verse above is the Greek "epignosis," and it means exact or precise knowledge of God. It means full comprehension, recognition or perception; to become fully acquainted with God. This is the knowledge He seeks for us to have of Him. With this knowledge, the glory in your life increases, and your efficiency, effectiveness and results multiply; your spirit is continually renewed, refreshed and polished. Your spirit glows more and more as you deepen your relationship with Him. Colossians 3:16 says, _*“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly....”*_ Have the Word of God in you in abundance through diligent study and meditation, and your life will become more glorious. Praise God! *PRAYER* *Dear Father, I thank you for your glory in my life, which continually increases as I study and meditate on your Word. That glory radiates through my being, making me competent, resourceful, more efficient and effective. I’m continually renewed and refreshed, greatly manifesting the fruits and works of righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *2 Corinthians 3:18* But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord. *||* *||* *Joshua 1:8 AMPC* This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *ABSOLUTE DOMINION OVER ALL DEVILS* Tuesday, June 18th . Pastor Chris _*Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).*_ In his letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul unveils the reality of the spiritual warfare we are engaged in and describes the hierarchy of demoniacal forces. We’re up against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Observe it says spiritual wickedness in high places, not “wicked spirits in high places.” All of those listed are also wicked spirits, but some demons are more wicked than others. However, it makes no difference the hierarchy of demons and how wicked they’re described; they’re all under your feet, including their boss—Satan, himself! You have superior authority in the spiritual because you function in and by the Name of Jesus Christ. You live and function in the Kingdom of light where Satan has no rights. You live in the victory and authority of Jesus Christ. You have something that the devils can’t withstand—the Name of Jesus. Use it, and triumph gloriously, always! Exercise your dominion in Christ and cast out devils everywhere. Take charge of your nation, city, town and environment. Take charge of your life. Refuse to allow Satan run rampage in your home. You’re superior to him and his cohorts of hell; Jesus gave you absolute dominion over them. Hallelujah! *CONFESSION* *I live and function in the Kingdom of light, with authority over Satan and the cohorts of darkness. I’ve been vested with all power and authority to subdue and decimate satanic forces and activities. I speak in the authority of Jesus even now, and declare that God’s will, plans and purposes for the nations of the world are established; His righteousness rules in men’s hearts and God’s Kingdom is established in the earth, and in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS MONDAY JUNE 17TH 2024 UNDERSTANDING THE WORD And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given (Matthew 13:10-11). There’re those who grumble about their inability to understand the Scriptures. Often, they’d complain, “These words are too difficult to understand; no matter how I study the Bible, I just don’t seem to have a grasp of it.” No; never talk that way. It’s your divinely given right and ability to understand the Scriptures. Read the words of the Lord Jesus in Matthew 13:11; He said, “...it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given." One of Satan's tactics is to deceive God's children just as he attempted with Jesus, questioning His identity. The Bible tells us, "And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread" (Matthew 4:3). Same way, he’ll attempt to put doubts in your heart. Don't yield to the Devil's deception that you lack understanding. The power lies in accepting and declaring God's truth. Accept, endorse and confess it. Align your words with God's Word. Declare, "I understand," and your understanding will be illuminated. The Bible recounts in John 20:22 how Jesus breathed on His disciples and said, “...Receive ye the Holy Ghost.” When He did, their minds were opened to understand the Scriptures. It’s a similar miracle that occurred when you received the Holy Spirit. It's the Spirit who enlightens your heart and enables you to receive and understand His truths. Always boldly affirm that you have the understanding of the righteous; you possess soundness of mind; you’re alert and imbued with keen insight. You have the mind of Christ, which is an excellent mind (1 Corinthians 2:16). You’re super-intelligent and your mind is anointed to understand the Scriptures; you have quickness of understanding. Have this mindset as you diligently study and meditate on the Word. PRAYER / CONFESSION I have the divine ability to comprehend mysteries. The wisdom of God is at work in me to produce excellent results in everything I set my heart to do! Life is not a mystery to me, because as I meditate on the Word, the Holy Spirit unveils spiritual realities to me, enlightening my heart to walk in paths ordained for His glory. Hallelujah! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Saturday, June 15th 2024 PROCLAIM HIS LOVE AND GRACE To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19). This is one of the most profound verses in the Pauline epistles. It unveils the magnitude of the Father’s love for all men, His overwhelming and everlasting love! Think about it: God was in Christ, reconciling the world of sinners (not Christians) to Himself, not counting their sins against them. Amazing! Most don’t realize the truth that Jesus was God, taking the place of sin and sinful man on the Cross. He accepted the most gruesome pain and punishment for the love of man. It brings to mind how the prophet Isaiah described Him in Isaiah 53:2-3. He explained that He had no form or comeliness, no royal or kingly pomp that they should look at Him. There was no beauty that they should desire Him. He was described as one from whom men hid their faces; despised and unesteemed. Yet, the world didn’t know that the Creator of the universe, the One who had made each and every one of us, was the one who hung on that Cross in their behalf. They failed to recognize Him; they were oblivious to His presence. But that’s why He sent us to proclaim His love. The whole world needs to know that Jesus is the embodiment of God's love, sent to reconcile humanity to Himself, not holding their sins against them. Even the vilest offender is loved by God. He harbours no anger or resentment for anyone. The Bible says He’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). It’s our duty to proclaim this message: to reveal who Jesus is, to declare His love and the worth of His sacrifice. It’s our responsibility to proclaim this Gospel of His love and grace. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the Gospel of your love and grace. As I boldly proclaim the truth of your love, many hear and are translated into the Kingdom of your Love-Son to walk in the glorious inheritance you’ve prepared for them, in Jesus' Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: 1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 1-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN : Acts 5:12-42 & 2 Chronicles 23-25 2-YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN : 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 & Isaiah 1 We trust you have been blessed by this devotional. We invite you to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life by praying thus: “O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He’s alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I’m born again. Thank you Lord, for saving my soul! I’m now a child of God. Hallelujah!” |
*Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional* _Pastor Chris Oyakhilome PhD_ _Wednesday, 12th June 2024_ *DON’T LEAVE THEM HANGING* _As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby_ *(1 Peter 2:2)* In Christianity, there’s a Christian way of life. But Christianity itself is not a way of life. Therefore, when we lead souls to Christ, it's important to guide them to be actively involved in a local church. We must ensure they become integral members of a church, not leaving them to navigate their newfound faith alone. They must be nurtured in the Christian way of life. Once they receive salvation, show them that receiving salvation is only the beginning; they have to live the Christian life. And the only way they’re going to learn it and grow as they should is by learning God’s Word. 1 Timothy 3:15 says, *“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”* So, the Church is the place to learn the Word of God. It brings to mind what the Apostle Peter said in 1 Peter 2:2: *“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”* How do children learn? Children learn not just by instruction but also by observation. By actively participating in the church, spiritual children or *“babes”* can observe and emulate the attitudes and practices of mature Christians. It’s one of the ways they know how to pray and cultivate the right attitudes and spirit of prayer. Also, in church, they learn how to worship God and sing the right songs; they learn how to conduct themselves with decency; they learn how to apply their faith in the face of belligerent challenges. Learning how to do these things isn’t just by instruction alone, it also comes through observing the behaviour, communication, and actions of other Christians in the Faith. The same Spirit lives in them and causes them to do the things that we do. So, when you win souls, ensure that they’re fully engrafted into the local church. Pray for them; follow them up until they become rooted and grounded in the faith and established in the Word. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST AS YOUR WISDOM* Monday, June 10th . Pastor Chris _*But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).*_ Oftentimes, many Christians acknowledge Christ as their righteousness, sanctification, and justification, yet they overlook the profound reality that Christ is their wisdom. Read the first few words of our opening scripture again; it says, _*“…Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom….”*_ It brings to mind what Paul said in Colossians 1:27; _*“…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”*_ When man sinned, he fell short of the glory of God, but Christ in you, glory restored. In the same way, Christ in you, wisdom has come. Christ is your wisdom, so don’t ask Him for wisdom anymore. Have you ever encountered individuals who don't reason soundly or correctly? During a discussion, their responses leave you bewildered, their thought pattern reeks of thoughtlessness; it’s like foolishness on rampage. Sadly, they’re oblivious to their own lack of insight. When prompted to express themselves publicly, for example, their utterances become disconcerting. This is because wisdom eludes them. Wisdom is not something acquired in the classroom, and it doesn't necessarily come with age; it’s from God. As a Christian, you have access to divine wisdom because Jesus Christ is the embodiment of all wisdom. But you see, you must boldly affirm that He’s your wisdom to walk in the reality of it. Even now, declare, “Christ is my wisdom; therefore, I have wisdom over all crises of life and for every situation.” Hallelujah! When you walk in divine wisdom you don’t give vent to foolish reasonings or communications; your ideas, thoughts and words are sound and excellent. You’re sagacious, discerning, perceptive and prudent. You’ll always, and at all times, make accurate judgments and decisions. *PRAYER* *Dear Father, thank you, for I’m born after the image of Christ, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Christ is my wisdom; therefore, I make wise, right and perfect decisions in line with your divine destiny for my life. I live in your will, guided, guarded and propelled by wisdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Corinthians 2:6-7* Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory: *||* *||* *Proverbs 3:13* Happy [is] the man [that] findeth wisdom, and the man [that] getteth understanding. *||* *||* *Colossians 2:2-3 NIV* My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 📅 SAT. 8TH JUNE 2024 YOU IN CHRIST AND CHRIST IN YOU 📖━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20). Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ In 2 Corinthians 5:17, the Apostle Paul articulates a profound truth about the new creation and salvation. It says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Observe he says, “...if any man be in Christ...”; salvation is you in Christ! We see another truth in Colossians 1:26-27. There, he beautifully encapsulates the very essence of Christianity: “Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Now, while salvation is you in Christ, Christianity is Christ in you. Christianity is Christ alive and manifested in you every day. No wonder in Ephesians 5:30, Paul tells us something so profound: “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.” This powerful imagery reinforces the inextricable union we have with Christ. 1 Corinthians 6:15 NKJV says, "Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ...?" In other words, your limbs are the limbs of Christ. Your hands, feet and voice are all imbued with His presence and power. When you speak, it's Christ speaking through you. When you minister to others, it's Christ ministering to them through you. The Master Himself declared, "He that heareth you heareth me..." (Luke 10:16). This is the profound reality of Christ in us. Therefore, knowing this truth, you can boldly proclaim, "Every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, every cell of my blood, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, is all fully inundated with the life of God." You’re the embodiment of God's glory; everywhere you go, you carry His presence and manifest His glory. You have the privilege of being the conduit of divine verities. 🙏 P R A Y E R ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Dear Father, thank you for the blessing of having the fullness of Christ in me. I live in the consciousness of your glory, and your presence shines through me, blessing others and glorifying your Name, in Jesus' Name. Amen. 📖 FURTHER STUDY: ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Colossians 1:27; to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Acts 17:28; for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 1 John 4:4; Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *THE LIGHT OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS* Sunday, June 2nd . Pastor Chris _*That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world (Philippians 2:15).*_ In Matthew 5:14 NKJV, the Lord Jesus said, _*“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”*_ It bears comparison to what we read in our opening scripture. In Isaiah 60:2, the prophet prophesied, _*“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”*_ In Christ Jesus, the glory of the Lord is resident in us, so much so that the Word declares that we are His glory! We’re the light of His righteousness in a dark and cynical world. Hallelujah! It makes no difference what the darkness and problems in the world are; you’re the hope and the solution that the world needs. The Lord Jesus said in John 9:5, _*“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”*_ 1 John 4:17 says, _*“…as he is, so are we in this world.”*_ The problems and hardships in the world today are your opportunities to shine and manifest the glory and light of His righteousness. As long as you’re in the world, you’re the light of the world. Light gives direction. You’re the one to show the world how to live, what to do, and how to be successful in the midst of the darkness. In John 8:12, Jesus said, _*"...I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."*_ Again, it brings to mind the words of the Prophet Isaiah, _*“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined”*_ (Isaiah 9:2). Yes, through you, they’re seeing this great light. That’s your ministry—to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God (Acts 26:18). There’s no greater light than the light of His righteousness and we’re the bearers of His righteousness—taking the light of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Praise God! *CONFESSION* *I’m the bearer of God's righteousness—taking the light of the Gospel, which has been committed to my trust, to the ends of the earth. Through me, many are turned from darkness to light and catapulted into their inheritance in the Kingdom of Light. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Acts 26:16-18* But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and [from] the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, [and] to turn [them] from darkness to light, and [from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. *||* *||* *Matthew 24:14* And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. *||* *||* *Mark 16:15-16* And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. *||* *DAILY SCRIPTURE READING* *1-Year Bible Reading Plan=>* John 17:1-26 & 1 Chronicles 9-10 *2-Year Bible Reading Plan=>* 1 Corinthians 15:11-19 & Proverbs 29 |
*RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *WE’RE LIKE HIM IN HIS GLORIFIED STATE* Wednesday, May 29th . Pastor Chris _*Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is (1 John 3:2).*_ When you read this epistle of John, you have to be careful to read everything; otherwise, you may conclude that there are contradictions. For example, in our opening verse, the epistle says, _*“…it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”*_ This therefore means we’re not yet like Him. But when you go right to the next chapter, the Bible says, _*“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world”*_ (1 John 4:17). I thought we just read that we shall be like Him later when He appears? But here, it says we’re like Him in this world now; we’re just as He is. Is this a contradiction? No, it's not. The first one is about your appearance, your outward appearance. Look at it again, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God….” We’re already the sons of God in our spirits. The Bible says, _*“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”*_ (2 Corinthians 5:17). That recreation took place in your spirit when you were born again. You were born of the Word of God and with the life of God. So, he says, “now are we the sons of God.” Now, your spirit is like Him, but your physical appearance isn’t like Him yet. So when it says, _*“…it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is,”*_ he’s referring to the Rapture where, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed. We will be clothed with our celestial bodies, and we shall be like Him in appearance. Glory to God! Observe that 1 John 4:17 says, “as He is...,” not “as He was.” We’re like Him now, not as He was before His death. When He was raised from the dead, we were raised together with Him, and we came alive with a new kind of life: the resurrection life. So, as He is now, the glorified Son of God, so are we in this world! *CONFESSION* *I’m born of God and have His nature of righteousness in my Spirit. Every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, every cell of my blood is replete with God. As Jesus is, in His glory and righteousness, so am I. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY, MAY 26TH MANIFESTING THE GLORY OF THE KINGDOM All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom (Psalm 145:10-12). Our opening verse tells us something striking about God’s Kingdom that we’re a part of: it’s a Kingdom with glory and power! A word I’d like to elaborate on is “glory.” The Bible says God’s saints shall speak of His glory. It also says they’ll make known the glorious majesty of His Kingdom. But what does glory mean? Many times, people use the term “glory” without knowing what it really means. Glory is that which inspires, produces or causes honour. When something happens and that thing causes you to give honour, admiration and respect to another, that thing is said to be glorious. Therefore, to say a meeting was glorious means that it inspired people to worship the Lord; they were inspired to praise Him. The meeting caused the attendees to respond in honour of God. When Jesus turned water to wine at a wedding ceremony, the Bible says, “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him” (John 2:11). When they saw what He did by turning water to wine, they were amazed. He manifested forth His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. They honoured and revered Him. Now, you can understand when the Bible says, “They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom…” (Psalm 145:11). What’s in the Kingdom of God that we’re talking about? It’s a kingdom where sickness isn’t real, where defeat doesn’t exist; it’s a kingdom where life and immortality reign. This is the Kingdom of God that we’re born into in Christ. 1 Peter 2:9 (AMPC) says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” As you walk in the light of who you are in Christ, you’re showing forth the glory of the Kingdom. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the glory of your Word in my life. You’ve called me into your glorious Kingdom, making me a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light! I walk in your glory, dominion and power today, manifesting your excellence to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 📅 FRI. 24TH MAY 2024 THE SANCTIFYING POWER OF HIS WORD ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you (John 15:2-3). Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ There’s no better way to purify God’s people than sharing the Word with them. Just share the Word of God. A pastor, for instance, could be concerned that some people in the church might not be living right. What he needs to do is to keep speaking and teaching the Word of God, and the people will be cleansed. Notice that Jesus said, “You’re clean through the Word that I have spoken unto you.” As they hear the Word, it’ll purge their spirits and cleanse them. The Word has that sanctifying power. The Bible says, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word” (Ephesians 5:25-26). The Word of God washes. That’s why, when people come to church and listen to the Word, they feel like they’re in the best place ever. As they listened to the Word of God, it purified them. That’s what the Word of God does to your spirit. That’s why when the true Word of God is taught in a local assembly, people will always come to hear that message that purifies, empowers and inspires them. It will even propel them to become soul winners, for the Word makes them fishers of men as He did the disciples (Matthew 4:19). 🙏 P R A Y E R ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Dear Father, thank you for the purifying power of your Word; it cleanses me, renews my mind, transforms my life, and reprogrammes my thoughts in the direction of your perfect will for my life. My mind is reconditioned for supernatural growth, prosperity and divine health, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. 📖 FURTHER STUDY : ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Psalm 119:9; Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 📅 THURS. 16TH MAY 2024 PEACE IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Then Nebuchadnezzar…said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?… Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God (Daniel 3:24-25). Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ The Bible tells us how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a fiery furnace. While in the furnace, they were unruffled. They didn’t even pray to God to bring them out of the fire. But guess what God did; instead of bringing them out of the fire, He joined them as the “fourth man in the fire.” I love that! The Bible says there wasn’t even the smell of smoke on their skin let alone being burnt. God doesn’t have to bring you out of the fire. He already said in Isaiah 43:2, “…when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” It makes no difference what pressures and obstacles you face in life; what’s important is that the Lord is with you and in you. He’s your peace in the midst of the storm. Is there a situation that has made you fret or given you sleepless nights? Relax. Jesus is your peace. He said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Can you see why you should never be flustered by the adversary or any adversity that comes your way? The Lord already gave you victory and dominion over Satan and everything he’s capable of. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Be ever mindful that the greater One lives in you; therefore, nothing can hurt or limit you. Expunge fear from your life by filling your heart with God’s Word. Even now, declare, “Father, I thank you, for you live in me and are with me. Therefore, I’m invincible; I’m a success. I’m making progress and can do all things through Christ who is my strength. Amen." 🗣 C O N F E S S I O N ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ God’s Word has brought me to a place of absolute confidence and independence. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL HE SIDES WITH US IN PRAYER Tuesday, May 7th . Pastor Chris Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). The word translated “helpeth” in our opening verse is a complex Greek word: “sunantilambanomai.” It means “to strive to obtain together with” or “to take hold together with, against.” This expression gives us God’s picture of intercession; in fact, it’s the best explanation of how God expects us to carry out the ministry of intercession. This means that in intercession, God takes hold together with us against the adversary. If, for example, I take hold together with you against someone else, it means I'm on the same side with you. So, when Paul says “the spirit also helpeth our infirmities,” it means the Holy Spirit joins together with us in prayer against the adversary for those who are unable to help themselves. “Infirmities” is from another Greek word “Astheneia”, which refers to some form of limitation or weakness; when there’s a want of requisite capacity. Imagine someone who has been sick for a long time and is probably dying. He’s so weak that he no longer can appropriate the blessings of Christ on healing and health for himself. Who’s holding him back? Satan. It’s God who wants to heal him. So, the Holy Spirit joins together with us to pray for that one. We take the place of that person in prayer and then rebuke the adversary. This means the Holy Spirit is an intercessor and He carries out that ministry through us. It also means that He’s not the one holding back or causing the problem; He’s not the one we’re trying to persuade. He’s helping us. Maybe you’ve been praying for years for someone to receive salvation. There’s no need trying to convince Him to save that person. The Holy Spirit sides with you in prayer against the adversary responsible for blinding the mind of that person from receiving the knowledge of God. Take advantage of this awesome blessing and ministry of the Holy Spirit today. PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for the extraordinary ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life as He sides with me in prayer against the adversary. Even now, as I pray, He takes over my vocal cords and gets me in sync with your will, helping me to pray aright, and causing circumstances to align with your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. FURTHER STUDY: || Romans 8:26-27 AMPC So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. 27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will. || || 1 Timothy 2:1-3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; || IF YOU ARE NOT YET BORN AGAIN, KINDLY SAY THIS PRAYER TO RECEIVE SALVATION NOW!🤲=> https:///salvation-link GIVE TO SPONSOR COPIES OF RHAPSODY OF REALITIES AS A GLOBAL AGENT OF CHANGE TODAY!💵💷💶💳📲🌍=> https:///3PGXMWi RHAPSODY SUBSCRIPTION=> https:///3vUBdST 🌟You Are Blessed To Be The Light Of The World! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL SUNDAY MAY 05 2024 LIFE THROUGH THE SPIRIT But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11). Pastor Chris No one can live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. It’s impossible! Some believe the Holy Spirit is in us only to help us speak in tongues; no! He does much more in us, for us and through us. Consider for example what we read in our opening scripture: the Holy Spirit in you quickens—vitalizes—your mortal body. He gives life to your body. That means there shouldn’t be death in any part of your body, because the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of life— lives in you. Hallelujah! Many have chanted our opening verse in songs and quoted it in sermons but have never responded to it as they should. The Word always requires your response. Ponder it again: the Holy Spirit in you makes alive your mortal body. Your response, therefore, should be: My body is invigorated with the life of God. I live in absolute health in Christ Jesus. Amen. God wants you to be bold and never afraid of death. Be like Paul, who when he was bitten by a venomous serpent wasn’t moved. Others were waiting for him to fall down and die, but he shook the serpent into the fire. This was what he knew; he was conscious that nothing could hurt or harm the one in whom the Holy Ghost dwells. Now that you’re born again, you’ve been brought from humanity to eternity, which means you’ve become incorruptible, indestructible and imperishable; you’re not subject to failure, defeat and death! This should be your consciousness—a consciousness of life through the Spirit just as the Bible says that if Christ is in you, even though the body may be dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). Be eternal life conscious. PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the victorious life you’ve given me. You’ve brought me from death to life and made me incorruptible, indestructible and imperishable. I’m not subject to death or the destructive system of this world. I’m a partaker of your divine nature; eternal life is at work in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Pastor Chris For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4). There’s so much negative information in the world today and this has instilled fear in the hearts of those who aren’t rooted and grounded in the Word. But as a Christian, you live on the mountaintop, because you’re seated together with Christ in the place of glory and dominion. Therefore, when you face distressing situations, turbulent times, live above them. Even if you were told a certain infectious disease has gotten into your system; it shall have no power over you. Refuse to fear. In Luke 10:19, Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU.” Live with the consciousness that you’re a partaker of the divine nature. The life in you is divine; it’s not sustained by blood but by the Spirit of God who lives in you: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11). This verse isn’t a promise but a vital reality now that the Holy Spirit lives in you: He’s the life of your physical body. Maybe you’ve even been diagnosed with an incurable disease as you read this; have no fear. Declare the Word until the divine life in you gains the ascendancy. With faith in your heart, keep affirming, “The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead, lives in me and has invigorated my physical body. I walk in divine health!” Stand your ground in faith, declaring the Word, irrespective of the symptoms and the circumstances around you. The Word already declares your victory. Satan and the powers of darkness are under your feet. Even now, declare that you live victoriously through the Word and by the Spirit over and above sickness, disease and death. Hallelujah! CONFESSION *My life is for glory and beauty; and in my path is life, success, victory and health. I walk in dominion over the debilitating elements of this world because I have the life of God in me. I live by the Word and the Holy Spirit triumphantly above sickness, disease and infirmity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.* FURTHER STUDY: || 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. || || Romans 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? *✨HAPPY NEW MONTH SAINTS! ✨* *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *✨Wednesday, 1st May 2024✨* *💫*THE TRUTH DWELLS IN US*💫 *_For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever (2 John 1:2)._* 👤PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME John discovered Jesus in a way that most others never did. He saw something about the Word of God that was unique. He alone shares with us in his gospel writing, *_“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”_* (John 1:14). John understood it because he was there when Jesus taught them and said, *_“...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”_* (John 14:6). He heard Jesus say, “I am the truth.” And so, when Jesus, in His prayer to the Father, said, *_“...thy word is truth”_* (John 17:17), John was able to put it together: The Word is Truth, and the Truth became flesh. Jesus was more than a man, more than a prophet, and more than a Rabbi; He was God's Truth —God in the flesh. What is truth? Truth is reality —absolute reality. Everything else fades away, but the Truth of God dwells in us, and shall be with us forever (2 John 1:2). Once this reality settles in your heart, you’ll realize there's nothing you can’t have and nothing you can't do, because the Truth dwells in you, and this Truth —the Word of Truth— created everything, including you: *_“Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures”_* (James 1:18). Glory to God! *PRAYER* *_Dear Father, I thank you for your Word. Your Word is Truth, and I walk in truth, because I’m one with the Truth. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *LIVING EPISTLES* Tuesday, April 30th . Pastor Chris _*Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).*_ 1 Peter 1:23 says, _*"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."*_ Every Christian is thus the epistle of Christ, because we're born of the Word; we're offsprings of the Word. James 1:18 says, _*"Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures."*_ You're the Word in flesh! This is what the Apostle Paul meant by us being "living epistles." Today, anyone who wants to see the Word of God should look at you, for you're the epistle of Christ! This is what the Church is. Hallelujah! The Lord Jesus was the Word of God in human flesh: _*"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..."*_ (John 1:14 NKJV). Jesus was the epistle of God. He was the love-letter sent to the world by God. The same Word that became flesh gave birth to us. We were born in the realm of the spirit to be like Jesus through the Word. Glory to God. Your life is the life of the Word. You're not born of the corruptible seed of man, but of God's incorruptible seed. This is the reason the life in you is the God-life—the life of the Word. Hallelujah! *CONFESSION* *I live the supernatural life and my potential is limitless because I'm born of the Word. *RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL* *A MANIFESTATION OF HIS GOODNESS* Wednesday, April 24th . Pastor Chris _*The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows) (John 10:10 AMPC).*_ The Lord Jesus said He came that we may have and enjoy life to the full. Aren't you glad about that? He lived and died, and came back to life to see to it that nothing cheats you out of His perfect will for you. In 3 John 1:2, He said, _*"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."*_ In this verse, the Apostle John describes the comprehensive prosperity of the human person, which includes spiritual, material and physical well-being. God knows that without sound health, you can't enjoy the life that He gave you. That's why He sent us to heal the sick. Divine healing is a manifestation of His goodness. Acts 10:38 further reinforces this truth. It says, _*"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."*_ God sent Jesus, and He went about doing good, healing all those who were oppressed of the devil. The Bible shows that He gave us the same charge. He said in Matthew 10:8, _*"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."*_ Luke 9:2 says, referring to the disciples, _*"And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick."*_ Hallelujah! Think about Peter and John at the gate of the temple called Beautiful. They encountered a man who had been lame from birth, begging for alms. The Bible says, _*"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk"*_ (Acts 3:6). The man, previously unable to walk, was healed instantly, and he entered the temple with Peter and John, praising God. The crowd, astonished at the miraculous healing, saw in the hitherto lame man the manifestation of the goodness of God. God doesn't want people sick, weak, or broken. That's why He sent us to take healing to the nations. Hallelujah! *CONFESSION* *I declare that Satan has nothing in me, for I walk in the transcendent, victorious and ever-triumphant life in Christ Jesus. I'm a partaker of the divine nature, with a life that's sickness-proof, in Jesus' Name. Amen.* *FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Hebrews 2:14-15* Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. *||* *||* *Matthew 10:7-8* And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. *||* *||* *1 John 3:8* He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES 📅 THURS. 18TH APRIL 2024 ESTABLISHED IN THE TRUTH ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Pastor Chris Says ━━━━━━━━━━ The Greek word translated "knowledge" in the scripture above is "epignosis." It means full, exact or precise knowledge. God wants all men to be saved and to come to the full, exact or precise knowledge of the truth. If this weren't possible, He wouldn't have said so. This is His desire. It's also the reason He set ministers and ministries in place as gifts to the Church: "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-13). God wants you built up and established in the Word until you come to such a high level of faith and knowledge of the Son of God-mature and fully grown in the Lord. As you develop in Christ and in the things of the Spirit, and as you increase in the revelation knowledge of the Word, you're able to tame circumstances and live above the elements of this world. When you have precise knowledge of the truth-the truth about Christ and what He's done for you and in you-your life will be an endless stream of peace, joy and victories. Get to know the truth. For example, Psalm 87:3 says, "Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God." Then in Psalm 50:2, the Bible says, "Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined." Hallelujah! God shines through you, not cancer, diabetes, kidney failure, poverty or any of the negativities of this world. You're the perfection of beauty. When you stand in front of the mirror, look at yourself and say, "I know who I am; greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. My life is for the glory of God because Christ lives in me." Be established in these truths. Hallelujah! 🙏 P R A Y E R ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Dear Father, I thank you for granting me absolute and exact knowledge of your Word, far removed from assumptions, doubts and uncertainties. I function by the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge in all my endeavours, fruitful in every good work. Christ is the glory of my life and by His grace, I reign triumphantly every day, in Jesus' Name. Amen. 📖 FURTHER STUDY: ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 2 Peter 1:2-4; grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, [3] according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: [4] whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Philemon 1:6; that the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:9-10: For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; [10] that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 1 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Luke 17:1-19 & 1 Samuel 3-7 2 YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN: Romans 12:1-8 & Psalm 119:145-160 Rhapsody of Realities Daily Devotional |
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL POWER TO HEAL Tuesday, April 16th . Pastor Chris And these signs shall follow them that believe...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18). Did you know that when it comes to healing the sick, we're the ones God asked to do it? He gave us power to heal. In our theme scripture, the Lord Jesus didn't say the believing ones shall pray to me to heal the sick; rather, He said, they shall lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall be healed. Then in Luke 10:9, He was just as direct when He sent His disciples out to preach the Gospel. He said, "...heal the sick...and say unto them, the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you." Also, He told them, "And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give" (Matthew 10:7- .Remarkably, He didn't say, "pray for the sick"; rather, He said, "heal the sick." Hallelujah! In Acts 3, Peter exemplified this authority to heal the sick when he encountered a man who had been crippled from birth at the Temple gate. He declared, "...Silver and gold have I none, but such as l have give I thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk" (Acts 3:6). This wasn't a plea or a prayer; Peter simply acted on the Words of the Master; He used the Name of Jesus as a powerful instrument. In Acts 3:16, he further emphasized the power of the Name of Jesus when he said that faith in His Name had made the formerly lame man strong: "And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all." One of the most beautiful things about Christianity is the blessing of using the Name of Jesus. When you speak or proclaim healing for the sick in His Name, your words are effective, producing exactly what they talk about. Even now, go ahead and make declarations in His Name about your health and that of your loved ones. Proclaim healing for many today who are sick and in hospitals. Hallelujah! PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for granting me the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus and bring healing and health to the sick. Even now, I proclaim healing for many today who are in hospitals and might have been given up to die; the handwriting of death concerning them is cancelled, and they're restored to sound health, in Jesus' Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL CONSTANTLY ENERGIZED Wednesday, April 10th . Pastor Chris But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20 AMPC). What the Bible says in Isaiah 40:31 needs to be properly understood. It says, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength..." Some have read this and ran off with the notion that to be constantly energized, strengthened or invigorated spiritually, you have to "wait on the Lord"; in other words, fast for a protracted period. Well, fasting is an important spiritual exercise, but someone can fast for 40 days and 40 nights and still not have their strength renewed. In the New Testament, the Lord provides us a sure and effective means to be constantly rejuvenated and invigorated spiritually: being filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18-20 says, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." This is the answer. Stay perpetually filled with the Spirit, studying and speaking the Word, and praying in tongues. When you do this, you're constantly energized. Paul tells us, "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself..." (1 Corinthians 14:4). In other words, when you speak in tongues, you're invigorated, revitalized, refreshed, energized and edified. There's a transformation in your life, and your spirit is conditioned for success, excellence, prosperity and victory. When you speak in tongues a lot, the words of Jesus in John 7:38 become your everyday reality: "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." What a blessing it is to be able to build up yourself like an edifice, formidable and able to withstand anything and win always as you pray in tongues. CONFESSION I'm invigorated, vitalized, refreshed, energized and edified even now by the Spirit as I speak in tongues. My inner man is built up strong, and I constantly walk in dominion over all adversities and the adversary; out of my belly flow gushers of living waters, words of salvation, healing, power and strength, in Jesus' Name. Amen. Rhapsody of Realities, Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Give us this day our daily bread (Matthew 6:11). Our God is so gracious and kind. Did you know that He has more than enough supply for you every day? He isn’t just into “provision”; He’s into supply— abundant supply. Hallelujah! The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:8 AMPC: “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].” He wants you to have, not only for yourself, but enough to help others. Therefore, for every day in God’s calendar and plan for your life, in His structure of things, there’re supplies set aside for you. Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. In this Year of Redemption, make up your mind to redeem every blessing that God has ordained for you. Each one of us has a heavenly account. Call forth your supply even now. Some people have never taken possession of that which belongs to them since they became Christians. They have leftover supplies that have accumulated over time. It’s time to cash out! It’s time to draw from your heavenly account. How? It’s through your faith-filled affirmations—your confession of the Word! The Lord Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23). In Psalm 45:1, the Psalmist said, “…my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” Your tongue is the pen; use it now to sign your “coupons and vouchers” and turn them in for actual value. Hallelujah! RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL PASTOR CHRIS MONDAY APRIL 01 2024 A MESSAGE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again (2 Corinthians 5:14-15). Did you know that God isn’t counting the sins of men against them? He isn’t because Jesus already died for everybody. “I thought He died for Christians”; someone might ask. No; it was for the whole world! 2 Corinthians 5:19 NIV says, “that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.” Observe that it says God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself. Why? It’s because Jesus paid for everybody. When Jesus died, every one of us died in Him; in the mind of justice, we were in Him in His death. When God raised Him up, the whole world was given the opportunity to receive eternal life—the life of righteousness. That’s the reason our message is His Gospel to the whole world. Our mission is to tell the whole world that Jesus paid for their salvation; therefore they don’t have to die or be judged anymore. Jesus was judged for the whole world. For everyone in the world today who hasn’t been born again, eternal life is available now. All they have to do is believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead in His substitutionary act of salvation, confess the Lordship of Jesus over their lives, and they’ll be brought into the vital realization, experience and union with the living Christ. Hallelujah! PRAYER / CONFESSION Dear Father, thank you for sending Jesus to die for the whole world, thereby making it possible for everyone who believes in His substitutionary work, and confesses His Lordship, to receive eternal life. Thank you for eternal life in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. RHAPSODY OF REALITIES Rev. Chris Oyakhilome WE HAIL FROM DEITY Sunday 31 March 2024 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). There’s a misconception of the meaning of the phrase, "Ye are of God" in the verse above. To some, it means “to be on God’s side,” but that’s not correct. The Apostle John’s construction isn’t in any way ambiguous, so it isn’t about being on anyone's side. It simply means you hail from Deity. In other words, your origin is in God; you’re His offspring. It’s akin to what the Bible says in James 1:18: “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” To hail from God, therefore, Christ must be in you; you must receive Him to live in you. Recall the words of the Lord Jesus in John 3:3, “… Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” The concluding phrase of our opening verse gives credence to this; it says, “…greater is He that is in you...;” so, He has to be in you. Think about it: He gave birth to you to live in you! The Bible says, “...Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). You have absolute victory over all forces of darkness and the wicked spirits that orchestrate evil because of the greater One that lives in you. Read how beautifully the AMPC renders our opening verse: “Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.” Praise God! You have overcome the adversary and his nefarious and sinister plans to cause untold hardship, troubles, sorrows, distresses and corrupting influences in the world because you hail from Deity! Hallelujah! CONFESSION I have overcome all the forces of darkness and wicked spirits that orchestrate evil plans in the world because I hail from God and the greater One lives in me. I have overcome the sorrows, distresses and corrupting influences in the world. I’m victorious always in Christ Jesus. Amen.
