As we all know, today, Oct. 15, 2014 is a horn-free day in Lagos state. Am currently at ojuelegba, 4.am and I keep hearing the blast of horns as usual.

What's the situation like at your place;

Can we truly do without blastin our horns in Lagos?

I av an agent here in naija, he jst did for a friend dat he's going nxt month.. He only gvs security nd driving. That my friend took driving nd I planning to take security.
I am a graduate nd av been working for a year in naija, the salary is rubbish, as in, rubbish.
My plan is to go via ds agent, get d security job(I will sacrifice dat 2yrs, since d pay is far far better dan wot m collecting now). My plan is to secure another job after that 2yrs with anoda company I see....
I plan to run some online certifications during this 2yrs to get a better offer later.

Going wt ds kind of Visa is a labour visa.... I want an explanation of how I can move to another job after dat 2yrs with first comapny...

Av been hearing so many things;
1. Some told me I will av to get bac to naija(wich I don't want2)... I only want to secure anoda job

2.. Some told me before the end of my 2yrs, I shld look for anoda company. Once my first 2yr contract xpires, I shld resign, dat I av grace of 1month to look for anoda company dat can sponse my visa.

3.. Some told me I can process my residence mysef, by aving a deal wit a company to get me visa with which I can stay in d country.. My dear if u come here with labour employment visa, gbam!!! U will labour for 2years and you can't change to another employer, your international passport will be seized during the duration of 2 years and after the expiration of your contract u will be taking to the airport and the company bids u farewell back to your home country naija Lolz
But Freezone is the best because you can select employer to a better one and no one has the right nor liberty to hold your international passport.

After that 2 years, som1 told me I can resign nd will be given 1month grace to look for another job.

Aside that, how can I get d freezone instead labour Visa??

imagine av been managing with a company here in naija(lagos) for 1.5yrs with 45k/month. up till now, i neva get up to 100k for account.

hi people, am very impressed with this thread, i started following this thread since yesterday, but m still on page 17. av really seen so many things there which av been helpful. though m still reading it, bt i would like to post my questions here;

i am graduate of Agriculture(2012) which i bliv its not a way in dubai because of their soil/climate.
i am currently working with a company here in naija dat pays me 45k.

i want to begin processing my dubai jorney, i intend to come, get a small job to settle in nd from there, i plan to run some few short courses there to getter a better job later. am actually postponing my msc because of this.

i donot hav anything yet as per the processing, not even passport..... pls i need you guys to shed mor light on this for me. though i av an agent that is very sure, he jst did for a family friend, he got a driving job for him bfor hes living middle of this year. I planned using him.

bt i also have a friend there already which i think i shld ask him if i can stay with him wen i get there.


pls guys, is it better i go wt an agent or i shld go with normal route(which i want you to xplain to me, including cost).
