You made sense with this post my guy and I'll make a point from it. It's on the part where you said that you should give the first fruit in the 'house of the lord'. To the nation of Isreal at the time, this command made sense cause they had ONLY ONE FORM OF TEMPLE WORSHIP. They did not have options thus, the people KNEW the purpose of their MATERIAL offerings. But what we have today is 'house of Lords', each church denomination with a different idea, objective and purpose. So, what is the purpose of the offering in the church today?

I don't even no y many eyes are still close till now ,ask urself the motive behind the increments of our church from 1 denomination to 27000 registered and many unregistered(unknown) denomination, and u will agree with me our nation is still full of ungodly deeds that cannot be listed ,with preaching of salvation been replaced with prosperity sermon as a result of the condition of the economy , upon which the sermon does not have any significance effect because each year the economy appear more retrogressive but the thousand of the denomination are progressing by opening more and more branches, building headquarters buying private jets building private universities but the promise of betterment to u and the nation has not been fulfilled till now only they keep asking u to continue to pay tithe ,first fruit, seed offering, special offering, generous donation etc and keep on hoping 4 the return but their children cellibrate graduation in Oxford university ,they own one of the homes and series of car even jets, but u are there dreaming of a better tomorrow as predicted or promised by ur pastors

If u ar one of the people under the illusion above, sorry to say u are mentally robbed

Many people trying to use daddy Adeboye to get fame. The man of God quoted frm the scripture and yet he is crying. The essence of christianity is giving, if ur christianity is devoid of giving u are jst wasting ur time. John 3:16 is a perFect example of love.

Adeboye has been twisting scriptures for a long time for personal gain and getting away with it. It's good to see a well known and reputable pastor calling him out and exposing his lies.

“If you are a giver, when you are sick, God will visit you,” Adeboye is seen stating in the video, whilst purporting to quote the Psalm to congregants.
Adelaja pointed out that Psalm 41 actually states, “Blessed is he who considers the poor; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble,” explaining that the context refers to giving to the less privileged, not to a church or pastor.
The founder of Embassy of God described Adeboye’s interpretation as a “broad daylight lie”. “He is twisting the Bible just for people to give to him,” he angrily retorted.
Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze, quickly jumped on Adelaja’s jab at Adeboye, posting the clip on Instagram.
“Sunday Adelaja punches a hole in Pastor Adeboye’s doctrine,” Freeze wrote. “The givers the Bible is talking about are those that give to the POOR not to PASTORS!”
Freeze has been at the forefront of a very public spat with Nigerian megachurch pastors over the contentious issue of tithing.
Strangely, Adelaja was once a regular speaker at conventions organised by the Redeemed Christian Church Of God and was even a recipient of an award from Adeboye’s church branch in Holland several years earlier.

1. The Pastor will call the shots in your home and not the wife or husband
2. Your children will be brainwashed from an early age which destroys their God-given creativity and individuality
3. Superstition and paranoia will reign in your home. No personal accountability or hard work to solve problems, everything is caused by a witch or wizard or someone back home
4. The moment one of you leave the church, there will be no peace in that home or the marriage may collapse
5. Religion will be a chore and burden because you are trying to please your spouse and not God while your spouse is trying to please almighty Pastor
6. You will become a hypocrite because your religion will not be from the heart
7. Your finances may suffer because your spouse will direct substantial amounts of money to the church
8. At the end, you may regret that you wasted this one life on pleasing a religious cult

Religion especially Pentecostalism has done far more harm than good on the physical, mental, moral and spiritual life of the common man.

OBJECTIVE

BELIEF
this where I am most confused, we all read the same bible yet come out with different belief, some denomination assert tithing is not obligatory others said it is the only key to open heaven, some say Jesus Christ is God(Trinity) others say he is the son of God, some even said he is angel Michael

The bible teaches us to love not only our friend but also our enemy including those who persecute us, to pray for them and not against then cos He (God) said judgement is mine, But in most of our Churches the reverse is the case, prayers often time are more of curses, asking God to continue the killing he did in the old testament

In fact since taken over Christianity from the roman Catholic mission by our self acclaimed men of God they have in most cases turn the Bible upside down thereby making Christianity to lost its purpose values and it's effect on the common man
