But about the presidential poll, one thing is so sure, Buhari will sweep the votes in Oyo state... Leave the village you are in, go to the cities, and see what you have been missing. |
AISHAT Buhari, wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has told President Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience, not to have the fear of going to jail if Buhari emerged winner in the forthcoming March 28 presidential poll. The APC presidential candidate’s wife, who said the country had long suffered bad governance, said her husband would not have time to witchhunt anybody. Aishat, who spoke on Thursday in Benin, the Edo State capital, where she interacted with women in the state, was reacting to statements credited to Patience that Buhari would jail women if elected as President. “For those that are campaigning, saying that he (Buhari) is coming to jail Nigerians, I don’t know what their fear is. “But they shouldn’t be afraid because we are all yearning for change. “The insecurity in the country, the very poor healthcare system, lack of education and other basic necessities that people are lacking, I believe Nigerians need somebody like General Muhammadu Buhari now. “Already, they have painted him black, using religion. “I’m happy today that Nigerians realise that they use religion as a cover to loot Nigeria,” Aishat said. She added, “In each zone of the country, we have peculiar problems; our problems differ. For me, in this zone, girl-child trafficking should be considered (as) one of our problems, though I know that there is unemployment. Unemployment is a major factor that contributes to brain- drain and also the girl-child trafficking. “Buhari is a leader. He was a leader; he led Nigeria some decades ago and he is coming back now to sanitise the system.” While urging women to uphold and not sell their Permanent Voter Cards but to use them to vote for a new Nigeria, she however assured the people that her husband’s administration would uphold the development of the girl-child, if elected. “I am here today to say that when my husband is elected into the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, all these are going to be history. The insecurity, girl-child trafficking, suffering of the widows in the South- East will; all of them will come to an end.” There must be a cultural design to accommodate the widows; a design that will make the girl-child to be comfortable wherever she is in this country. “The collection of PVCs is also important. Don’t ever sell it; it is like selling your future again. When you sell it for N5, 000, you won’t see N5, 000 till after four years, which is too bad for you. Get your PVC, vote for the APC. Vote for freedom, good education, good healthcare, good road and all the basic necessities should be given to you. Thank you, so much for waiting in the sun for hours to see me; I love you all,” Mrs. Buhari said. Also speaking, Governor Oshiomhole stressed that the party desired to deliver quality development and achieve success in the various sectors of the country, especially in the area education and job creation, as it had done in the state. He noted that the party was known for “workable projects” rather than “symbolic projects.” http://www.punchng.com/news/dont-be-afraid-of-jail-buharis-wife-tells-patience-jonathan/

All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday assured Enugu residents that the huge coal deposit in the state would be revamped for electricity supply to create one million jobs for the teeming unemployed youths in the state and beyond. This hint came during the commencement of a road show organised by the Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), Presidential Campaign Council to woo voters in the state for their candidate. APC spokesman, South-East geopolitical zone, Mr. Osita Okechukwu, said the party had pledged to revamp the abandoned coal deposit in Enugu to trigger economic activities in the state and region. His words: “Buhari is very passionate to create jobs for the youths. We feel the best way to do so is to revamp Enugu coal, which was abandoned since the civil war. “His visit to Taichung Coal-Fired-Power-Plant in Taiwan, the largest in the world, motivated his interest to revamp Enugu coal.” On corruption and governance, Okechukwu revealed that the APC presidential candidate believed sincerely that no matter how vast the country’s resources were, if they were not efficiently utilized, it would only benefit a privileged few, leaving the majority in abject poverty. He said: “If Nigeria does not kill corruption, corruption will kill Nigeria. To achieve this, Buhari will publicly declare his assets and liabilities and encourage his political appointees to follow suit immediately he is sworn-in. “He will work with the National Assembly to cut down the cost of governance, because he feels that the amount expended on running the presidency, the National Assembly, and the state houses cannot be reasonably justified with the poverty on the ground. “He will also inaugurate the National Council on Procurement as stipulated in the Procurement Act.” www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/apc-promises-one-million-jobs-through-coal-for-electricity/ |

Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha has described Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the Nelson Mandela of Nigeria. According to VANGUARD, Okorocha made the description when addressing Imo State indigenes who gathered on the banner of Imo State Towns Development Association Lagos (ISTDAL) at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Monday. Okorocha said, ''Buhari is the Mandela of our time. At 72, what does he want? He will do one term, fix the country and move on and then power will be come back to the South. When power rotates to the South, the South-East will have it in 2019 because the South-West has had it through Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the South-South through Dr Goodluck Jonathan'' http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/buhari-will-serve-1-term-and-return-power-to-the-south-okorocha.109037/ |

Hemanwel:very lame analysis. Do you know CPC won in some of those so called PDP states in 2011. Get your politics right, it's not by a state being controlled by a party, it's by the masses voting for who they want. |
onila:so she's nice and kind just because she bought you lunch? Hmmm, see what food can do. |
Together we can change this country for good. This is a momentous election, it simply can't be overstated. For the first time in the history of our great nation the president will be fired by his boss (the Nigerian people) for poor performance . Future generations will read about this for years, it is so rare that it has only ever happened a handful of times on the African continent. Make sure you are on the right side of history . Future presidents will never ever take Nigerians for granted again. |
breadandbutter:Hater, with all your curses all this while, the man keeps waxing strong, I'm not so sure your curses haven't been backfiring |
