This ethnic profiling approach to fighting crime must stop or we would all be caught up in it. Individuals and groups of criminals should be held culpable of their criminality, it is injustice and indeed primitive to label a whole tribe criminals. Why are the Yorubas not supporting Buhari again, is it that they just noticed what we the igbos have known since 2014 about Buhari? Where is their sophistication?
I am not surprised though,,, what Ojukwu saw as far back as 1966 and fought for is what our sophisticated brothers see in 2021,,,
We warned them but instead they called us wailers ,, now who is actually wailing?
As they campaign vigorously for elections, you would think, they are coming to grow the economy, enthrone justice, breed unity and tolerance, love for one another. No, they are coming to enthrone Hausa Fulani supremacy, to reposition the security agencies by sacking all competent hands and replace them with their kinsmen in order to drive their ethnic domination of the south, the Fulani herdsmen will be armed and encouraged to slaughter us with impurity and their masters will protect them. They are coming to ensure that my people are enslaved forever. Those who do not believe me will soon see it happen before their eyes”

Politics › Re: 2023 Igbo Presidency, A Must, Say Southeast APC Leaders by goshee: 6:12am On Jan 25, 2021 |
post=98414380: First read these short post below and move on to the long one after that.....
NOW; Seriously, let's be sincere. As things stand today politically, why would the APC even hand power to us Igbos in 2023? On what grounds? On what records? On what politics? Is power given to anyone? Is it an appeasement or a gift?
The APC is a political party. The main focus of a political Party is to hold power and keep it to enable it deliver on its agenda. So if the APC reads that the SE does not want the Presidency or does not have the capacity to help them win and keep power, they will stick with the regions that can and work with individuals who are interested.
SOUTH EAST: IS IT NOT TOO LATE?
I have read the recent transmissions by Senator Bukola Saraki directed at my Igbo tribe. I have deliberately kept mum on this as I had earlier resolved to speak less on Igbos as regards the 2019 Elections and 2023 Presidency having said quite a bit.
However seeing as some of my brethren have swallowed the cheap bait, I will chip this in just to keep the reality before us, at least for posterity sake. Truth is bitter but it's still the best medicine.
My people say; 'He who does not remember where the rain started beating him, will not remember where it stopped'.
REWIND TO 2014. A new National Party was being conceived. Political Parties, political players and Regions were being wooed to the new alliance.
'We' Igbos (read South East) vehemently refused to touch it even with a long pole. We packaged, sold to ourselves and bought the baseless propaganda that it was an Islamic alliance that would birth an "Islamic" and "Hausa" Party. Simply because those our brethren heavily invested in the PDP at the time were afraid of losing their vested selfish interests. Till today I'm still trying to fathom the basis for that wicked and twisted deceit especially as many of those Igbo elites who sold that dummy have since ported to the same APC.
We failed to even identify with that new Alliance. Hence the Party, APC was birthed without any remarkable input from us or presence. The few amongst us who aligned were called all kinds of names and abused to high heavens by us even when they were proven right afterall.
Thus the few Igbos who were part of it were at best fringe players as they didn't have the required clout to make serious demands and do the necessary political wheeling and dealing required in Politics to strike the hard bargains since politics is all about interests and numbers. They were even suspect, so much so that it was only their personal political sagacity that gave them whatever they got.
That Party went on to win the Presidential Election which in truth, most of us never believed it could or would, because of our half baked permutations and poor understanding of Nigerian politics. But it did.
Curiously we turned up at the fore front of telling this same Party how it should share it's 'spoils of war'. We became hypocritical moral champions with an over bloated sense of entitlement. Who does that, in all political reality and practicality? But we did, even while vehemently and vociferously still refusing to shift our position, style and rhethoric.
We dug in. Supported every bad thing and person against the Party, the elected President and the Administration while denying any and every good done to and for our Region.
Fast forward to where we are today. Almost four years after the 2015 misadventure, we have stayed put at 2015, refusing to move forward, refusing to shift grounds, refusing to play pragmatic politics, telling ourselves the same lies we cooked and bought in 2015 and some more.
Now barely 5 months to another election, we have started again saying "APC cannot give Presidency to Igbos in 2023". "Buhari cannot hand over to an Igbo man because Buhari hates Igbos". "APC is deceiving you", bla bla bla.
Of course. We will believe Saraki, who has only but a fanthom dream of becoming President and whose only known record is selfishness but we can't believe Buhari who's already President and who has a record of voluntarily picking two great Igbo sons as running mates in the past? Chukwu aju.
It is interesting and vital to note here that the PDP which many of us still proudly support and adore was in power for 16 solid years and in those years there were 4 Presidential Inaugurations and on none of those was an Igbo man found worthy by the PDP of even Vice Presidency and we are still bold to say it is the APC that has not even finished one and a half tenure that doesn't want to give power to Igbos. Odi nma.
Make no mistake, I have always said, I do not blame us Igbos for the decision majority of us took in 2015. It's our right. But continuing to pretend that it was other regions, Buhari or the APC that made us do what we did then or remain where we are today is purely self deceit and I refuse to play that ostrich game.
As far back as 2014, I and many others made that argument that Igbo Presidency was very feasible in 2023, ONLY under under the APC, ONLY IF we did a couple of things right politically. I personally continued to speak loudly on that even after the 2015 elections until when I realized that we were not ready to play the politics that was required and now I dare say it may be too late. Or is it not? Time will tell.
For now, we can continue to tell ourselves that we cannot hold the Presidency of Nigeria. I heard and read many of our brethren go from PDP to Biafra/seccesion (read IPOB) to Referendum to "Igbos do not need Presidency but Restructuring" etc forgetting that all that didn't lie squarely with us alone. We think other regions are not reading our body language?
I really don't care what Saraki writes or says because they've all come to realize that it's very easy to play us like a flute. So like Saraki, like Fani Kayode, like Fayose, like Atiku, even Jonah Jang of all people, they keep playing us.
I've learnt not to bother myself anymore to avoid unnecessary abuse from nonentities . As some of us have said, it's good governance we want, even if only one village will be producing the Presidents. So be it.

AtikuNetwork: I commend the governor for this position. It seems some people in the Southern part of the country are hell-bent on stoking ethnic tension under the pretext of insecurity. There is insecurity in every part of Nigeria, and Fulani herders are not the only ones responsible for all the crimes happening in this country. What I see happening is a scapegoating of a tribe to promote an agenda of ethnic cleansing. This cannot be allowed to stand.
I will urge my fellow igbo countrymen in particular to exercise restraint in their eagerness to incite ethnic tensions because they seem to be at the forefront of this ugly trend. I noticed they are trying to incite Yorubas to follow the same path that the fugitive Nnamdi Kanu's illegal security riff-raffs did in Ebonyi when they chased out Fulanis. Let's all be guided so as not to escalate tensions.

God bless Nigeria.
Whether you like him or not you are stuck with him till 2023, the earlier you understand this the better. Stop foaming you might risk yourself BP and die while Buhari will be alive and kicking.
There is only three way to unseat a seating President globally
1. Impeachment - we all know this is impossible because the lawmakers are forver loyal to him.
2. Coup- this is also not possible because the army are loyal to him the below picture says it all.
3. If he decides to resign willingful - Buhari will never resign deal with it.
No international community can make a seating president resign out of his will, Bashar Al Assad is still ruling Syria despite the hate (even tho they ain't practicing democracy)
Trump did worst than Buhari is doing, Trump said "Shoot any shop looters on sight" during the black lives matter, Trump has never apologised or show remorsefulness on the black life matter issue instead he defended white supremacist.

They traded the Governorship to PDP because of a Presidency in 3 years time that they are not sure of.
Winning the Edo Governorship would have given the APC a better chance to win more votes from Edo in the 2023 presidency.
But in their myopia they failed to see the bigger picture.
Or maybe they think that the PDP will let their faction of APC win the presidency because they helped them win Edo.
They only way i'd exhornerrate this is if there's actually an agreement between the Amaechi faction and Obaseki to return to APC before 2023.
That's the only way this whole Edo drama would make sense to me. The idea is that APC won't outlive buhari and if Tinubu/oshiomole boy wins Edo he could go to the faction of Tinubu's APC/ACN come 2023 which could become a threat to the other APC/CPC faction. They are clipping the wings of the proposed ACN at all cost and leaving no stone unturned to make sure Tinubu and Oshiomole are dealt with politically. Watch out for Fayemi he's the biggest weapon that will be used to destroy Tinubu just like Obaseki has killed Oshobaba politically, They will hand the APC structure in Edo to Ize Iyamu and remind him on how Oshomole made sure he didn't win Edo guber in 2016, by calling him a thief, thereby making Edo APC to be loyal to them, they will use Ize Iyamu to bury Oshomole. They have broken all the promises they made to Nigeria and even the once they made to Tinubu. The agreement was for CPC faction is to man government while ACN faction is to man the party structure but today everything is in the hands of CPC both governance and party structure leaving Tinubu in dark, it is a pity for Tinubu and his cohort |

tesppidd: Buhari was very unfair to Oshiomole with his decision to dissolve the NWC.
He has asked everybody to withdraw their court cases but this is far from a political solution. A political solution would have sufficed.
This party can never be united again because Giadom and his camp are happy with the dissolution while Adams and his camp are unhappy about it.
When 2 kids fight for a toy and an adult takes it from them both, the real owner of the toy must feel agrievied while the kid who doesn't own the toy would feel happy and satisfied.
In finding a political solution what Buhari would have done is to realise that only about 7 out of over 20 ward members suspended Adams from his ward. This singular act of injustice should have formed the basis of Buhari's decision.
He should have asked Giadom to withdraw his case against Adams based on the fact that he was suspended by only 7 people.
This should be the political solution since his aim was to take the cases off the courts. Nice write up only if Buhari and the cabals were looking for political solution o APC crisis. I think they rather took advantage of the crisis, fueled the crisis by pushing Giadon to the equation all to reclaim the APC structure from oshomole and Tinubu. |

He installed Lagos Senators back to back.

His boy is the current House Speaker.
His protégé is the Vice President.
AND you are asking me to mention his accomplishment. Mention one politician who has accomplished this much since 1960. Just 1. Interesting. you mean if tinubu doesn't install governors in Lagos and other south western states there won't be governors? Certainly some people must be governors of those state weda tinubu install or uninstall them. a person certainly would be VP SP ministers and so on with or without tinubu. as far as sane minds are concerned installing or uninstalling governors, ministers, commissioner etc isn't achievement in the side of the citizenry hence the campaign to end godfatherism. By the way why are you taking political godfatherism to mean success in south west? but quick to shout 'O to gee' in kwara state? To remain a political servitude till death in the hands of a superior political associate seems be running in the veins of the yorubas. Need I tell you that all the political actors in Enugu since 1999 were all product of the then governor of the state Sen. Dr Chimaroke Nnamani and he has created two governors, ministers, senators, Senate president, deputy senate president, to say nothing of HoR, members, state HoA, Chairmen and commissioners but today he's just a popular politician in Enugu and no body goes to tell him before sleeping with his wife. Secondly Orji Kalu produced almost the whole politicians in abia state and he's still relevant politically till today but nobody greets him before taking their night food. At a point in Anambra state, the Ubas were the emperors of the politics of anambra, installing and uninstalling governors at will but today the politics of anambra state na all man OYO Remember peter Odilis political machination that produces Ameachi, wike and the power brokers in the state currently. the still respect the man but non take excuse from him before chyking a girl. I can go on and on and the shows that igobos are characteristically independent minded and were not born to serve till death. at a point a master has to settle his apprentice and allow his do his thing his way. That ball-less Yoruba politicians have decided to serve tinubu to their graves just like Ajimobi is their own low and shouldn't be attributed to any mans success. it's just in them like peak. las las political godfatherism doesn't equate to success. tinubu or not their must be different people in those positions you felt he install people. remember he held some people down to install his stooge. thanks |

chloedogie: Let me give you some history lines about Tinubu. I wasn't told, I witnessed it as a cousin to Oyinlola former governor of osun state, I had few privileges to some happenings not rumors.
1. When AD party cleared all southwest states in 1999, Obasanjo wasn't happy because the north single-highhandedly voted him in and his own kinsmen betrayed him(in OBJ's voice). But why would you blame the Yorubas when the two major candidates back then were OBJ(PDP) and Olu Falae(AD)?
2. Fast forward to 2002 in build up to 2003 elections, OBJ started touring all south west states. Remember in 1999, the governorship elections were first done then followed by presidential. Then during OBJ's tour, he made a very devilish and smart move on the south west AD leaders saying he won't interfere in the governorship elections, he just want them to vote for him as the president, then they can have their states to AD party. But being a smart one, Tinubu never let his guard off. Even the elderly ones like baba Akande fell for it. He even slept in some AD governors' lodges, did town hall meetings with some of them that was aired on radio, drinking palm wine with some making live jest etc. How did Tinubu know OBJ was up to something?
Answer: When Oyinlola started his political campaign, he was initially running for the senate then suddenly changed and he was given the governorship ticket overnight when he was just few weeks away from the senate. Tinubu sensed something considering Oyinlola had a military ties with OBJ.
3. Few days to the elections since gubernatorial and presidential will be done same day, OBJ then he came live on TV radio etc and visited some South west states and started shouting in Yoruba, ''te ba ti ri Umbrella, e te ka sibe bayii''. Meaning on the ballot papers, when you see the Umbrella logo, put your thumb like this. That was like 2 days or 5 days maximum to the elections. Now, chaos started in the AD camp, they have fallen for his trick. They started re-strategizing, because most of them campaigned for PDP for the presidential election except for Tinubu. Too late for them.
4. Cut long story short, he swept 5 states and through thuggery, fight, agidi, and political strong-head, Tinubu held on to Lagos.
5. Now, he started licking his wounds and a rebuild initiated. Beginning of his fight with OBJ.
6. His first major comeback was in Osun, using the then chambers of Osinbanjo to take Oyinlola to court using some forensic proofs that has never been done before on the African soil to challenge the candidacy of Oyinlola. 3 years and 8 months into his second term in office as the governor, Oyinlola was booted out. Then, he started penetrating, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, and Ondo.
7. He built his empire and you can pick up the rest of the story/history with the colony of APC in 2014/2015 towards the hijacking of the presidency from Jonathan which you can never say he wasn't the sole brain behind it, or one of the best brains behind it.
Conclusion: That you are defeated in life(if he is actually defeated by your permutations and surface analysis) is not the real deal, the main thing is how did you handle the defeat? Did you sit defeated or you picked yourself up like a fallen horse and start sprinting again? Tinubu is not one of the chest beating politicians, he knows his onions from his suya that is why you hardly see him talking. Nice story but you ended up not contributing to the topic at hand |

Tolase1999: People that understand politics will applaud Tinubu sagacity, you guys are just obssessed with Yoruba race and Tinubu. after obasanjo tell me the top hierachy post that has been headed by yoruba bfr 2015 marriage btw Tinubu and the north. and i want you people to answer this question : if yoruba glue with pdp what we yoruba gain out of it btw 2015-2020 that will be more beta than the tinubu alliance(2nd,3rd,4th citizen of nigeria) and which region enjoy the infrasture plan than SW under APC. "In the face of storm we stay calm, when the stage is set, we display the ideas that stood us apart"- Tinubu All of that was just to ensure his 2023 presidential dreams come through. if at the end he couldn't become president then he's a failure. It is just like somebody taking first position from Jss1 to SS3 only to fail Waec. all those in Yoruba politicians in high offices are machinations of tinubu to guarantee his presidential ambition come 2023 but unfortunately he will NEVER BE PRESIDENT |

badoh: Why do people always like to predict when they are not God? They talk as if they can read people's mind and and know the direction of event. Nobody, I repeat, nobody can predict where the pendulum will swing in 2023. I'm even worried why people keep shouting that Tinubu's dream of becoming president is shattered. Has Tinubu ever come out to say he's interested in presidency come 2023? The north will continue to use divide and rule approach for you since what you know how to do is to bring one another down. Until you people get sense to demand for restructuring and resource control, you'll continue to be puppet of the northerners. Well said dude. no body is sure if what will happen tomorrow not to talk of 2023, I'm pretty sure Abba Kyari and Ajimobi were few scheming for 2023, where are they now? A lot can happen before 2023 but I am sure of one thing. I'm not even sure of what I will eat tomorrow but I am sure of one thing come 2023 and that is that TINUBU WILL NEVER BE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF THE ZOO. If he likes let him declare interest to run or not. |
