Aks: @gosj- I will advise you to read posts with open mind and not be sentimental in any way. Most stocks lack fundamentals, majority of us buy stocks on sentimental grounds. I posted the info on Enron to guide investors generally and not refering to 'YOUR OANDO'. We are mature minds on this blog. U are the MD of your portfolio and no negative sentiment on the blog on a particular stock can affect NSE output @ d end of the day

Even if you forgot to use a payment reference, the most important thing is that you send them an email stating your account number (your meristem a/c No or CSCS a/c No ), amount paid, date of transaction and the account number (Meristem's bank account number) into which the money was paid. Alternatively, you can just scan and send the receipt to them by email.

Elai147: You can use your Meristem account number as payment reference but when notifying them by email, you should put your Meristem account number as the Subject of your email. This is exactly what I do. You can also use online transfers.

petaling: If anyone has an option to choose between meristem and Morgan capital, go for meristem.
I sent an email to Morgan capital on account opening related issues, they did not reply. I sent to meristem, I got reply same day. Now I use meristem, they execute the orders and update the account on daily basis. They also have good customer care.

Dexterax: Whether OANDO closes the ConocoPhilips' deal or not, the most realistic investment horizon for that stock is not less than 18 months. TRANSCORP and others might get into new Gas Supply Agreements with OANDO in the medium term.

Someone recently speculated in this space that TRANSCORP will do a stock buyback. This is very unlikely considering they need all the capital they can get to get Ughelli running at full capacity before eventually reaching their megawatt projections.

UACN is a great company to watch out for. The recent stake acquisition by Famous Brands of SA is a pointer.
