Timehin Jinadu, a 16-year-old teenage boy was on Monday morning, reportedly burnt to death when a four bedroom duplex in the Lekki area caught fire.

According to P.M News, the fire started at about 2 a.m on Monday in a duplex at 35C, Ajiran Road, Agungi area of Lekki. The deceased’s family was reportedly sleeping when the fire began.

One man was curious about what life was like as a goat – so he decided to live among them.

It may seem like a crazy idea, but Thomas Thwaites went to a lot of effort for his goat mission.

He ordered special limb prosthetics that gave him hooves so he could walk on all fours comfortably.

He spoke to a behavioral expert on goats, and watched as a goat was dissected to learn more about the animal.

He even thought about constructing an artificial goat stomach for himself that would digest grass.

Actor and reality show star Omotola is trending, and this time not on account of some photo shoot but for calling for President Buhari to scrap the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) programme. It’s not useful, he should please do that for Nigerians. Our children don’t need it anymore.

I have looked at the programme thoroughly and exactly what it’s supposed to have achieved over the years? Believe me, there is no credible or tangible result. It’s a total waste of time and resources and I think all the time and resources should be channelled into something more resourceful.

For instance, I have had situations where some members of my staff, in the name of NYSC, left for a year only to come back and their spaces had been taken by another. NYSC is not just adding any value to our society or even to the lives of our children.

The battle for defence of the Naira value has widened, affecting existing withdrawal limits on Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) and foreign transactions on all existing Naira debit cards (ATM cards).

In the new arrangement, all ATMs that were hitherto enabled for domestic and foreign transactions have been restructured to limit Naira cash withdrawal at ATMs to N60,000 per day while foreign currency is $300 per day. Hitherto, the domestic withdrawal limit was N150,000 per day.

The new arrangement has separated traditional ATM from MasterCard credit card where the former has now been deactivated and can no longer be used for transactions abroad. Hitherto, a single ATM card serves for transactions for both domestic and abroad.

Also, the restructured cards now have spending limits on POS/eCommerce (online shopping) pegged at $300 (about N60,000) per day. Before this, the limit was N2 million per day.

In the new arrangement, a bank customer with multiple debit cards (ATM cards), only the one linked to the primary transactional account will be enabled for use abroad. Hitherto, such customers could transact with any of the cards that is funded.

The Kogi State Command of the department of State Security Service as arrested a clergyman, Reverend Godson Akubuiro, his children and his 15 man syndicate for printing and circulation of fake Naira notes

The state Director Security Service (SSS) Mr Mike Fubara told journalists that the major breakthrough came as a result of painstaking investigation for over four months which took the operatives of SSS to Ikorodu in Lagos where they were all arrested.

Fake currency printers and distributors used by the suspects were seized by the SSS.

He told journalist that the prime suspect reverend Godson Akubuiro who is the general overseer of the Mountain of Breakthrough Deliverance Ministry also known as land of solution located at plot 7 Mountain of Breakthrough Avenue Koya Estate, Igbo Olomu, Agric, Ikorodu Lagos had been into printing and circulating of fake Naira notes.

Well known Warri billionaire, Ayiri Emami has enrolled Africa’s reggae icon, Majek Fashek into a rehabilitation home situated in Abuja.

According to reports, the guitarist is receiving treatments from specialists who were flown into the country on his behalf.

Emami, who is the CEO of 911 Entertainment, it was learnt, has stepped in to help by taking full charge of his treatment.

Fashek might come back with a nationwide tour for lovers of his music as soon as he finishes with his treatments.

It was learnt that in the last couple of months a number of celebrities as well as Majek Fashek’s family members have been trying to raise funds to rehabilitate him.

An American man from Bend, Oregon named Beatie,34 has reportedly given birth to a baby girl which makes him the first man in the world to do such.
