This is a Portuguese F-16 with an Angolan flag photo-shopped on it. Angola doesn't operate F-16's. In Africa only the North-Africans do.

Angola operates 12 ex-indian SU-30 fighter jets. They were refurbished by Russia in belarus and transferred to Angola.
Oh okay, thanks for clearing that up!

you are quite an interesting entity.by your post,i can deduce that you are a young military man, perhaps in you late 20s/early 30s,ranking between a corporal to lieutenant, you seem nice and accomodating, but you're quite timid and pretentious.you are curious, but cautious{overly so}.you definitely have ambitions, but you reluctant in getting it the dirty way.so,tell me,mr gottfried, was i right in my predictions?.anyways,i would love your opinions on matters of discussion on this thread,if you are who you imply to be,then they would prove to be quite educative and informative.
Almost,Ex military now Law enforcement(VIP Directorate,Much cooler cool) Late 20'sWas a Lance corporal during my service in the military but now I am a recently promoted Warrent Officer Class 2,Will Gladly contribute to my areas of expertise

you misunderstand me,mr gottfried.i wasnt negatively concerned about your username or country, this thread is for educational, entertainment and enlightenment purpose on military matters;so anyone is free to post his/her opinions,i was just curious as to your silent 'participation' in the affairs of this thread.i assure you, there is absolutely nothing for you to apologize for.why dont you feel the need to actively participate in this thread anymore?,i dont remember ever seeing any of your posts.
Will definitely try to be more active on this thread next year wink And as for my username,My superiors view this topic and If they see that I am posting photos of the countries military and giving off info into the different equipment we have(I can get up to 8 years imprisonment and be charged with conspiracy)which is why any clue to my identity should not be revealed.

what sort of person gives himself the username gottfried21?.why dont you quit being a renown cyber-skulker and start contributing positively to this thread sir?
I don't see how I have negatively contributed to this thread(If some of my posts came as offensive, than I am sorry for offending you)I am just here trying not to interfere with this debate that is going on,There is no specific country that I am rooting for and my own country is not part of the topic,As for my username, why the concern?

Well you seem to know even less about Namibia then you thought.
If you can name one big institution in Namibia owned by Germans I will be very surprised.
The Afrikaaners are in the majority of white landowners. Most of the mines are are owned by people with an anglo background.
The financial institutions (which in a country like Namibia play an even bigger role) are South African Afrikaaner owned. That includes the only full Namibian owned bank. Only reason why germans still play a big role is because of tourism and their beer.

On Racism. You made exactly that point. Its not the Germans but the Afrikaaners that institutionalized racism in Namibia. Namibians are used to racism in their own land. Most African countries where colonized by a small group of white people, just enough to to control the population and extract the resources. Unlike Namibia, SA, Zimbabwe where the white people settled in large numbers.

what I do agree on is that returning the land is an important issue that needs to be addressed NOW. But just like in this forum or on varsity cafeterias. Lots of young people see the problem and want to address them. Then they get a scholarship to some UK or US university, a job from Glencore and a Beamer and all remains the same.

Namibians unfortunately like most Africans introduced to Christianity believe in miracles and that one day god will gift them with all they desire. I can not imagine living in shanty towns, I can only imagine it being tolerable with a big amount of hope that thats not the end.
BTW. the shantytowns in Namibia are half as dramatic as in nairaland and other countries. smiley
(EDIT) And yes. Namibians are very docile - a violent revolt is very unlikely. (/EDIT)

thoth:
Are you Nigerian living in Namibia or are you Namibian ? i will be in Namibian after the Chinese Spring Festival ,maybe early March, depending on your Nationality i will be more than glad to show you a lot of things you don't know about that country.

Maybe you have a singular notion of racsicm where ends with lynchings and segregation and the sort you see in Movies, but that is just a definition that was born out of the submissiveness, ignorance and colonial brainwashing of Africans, Rascism does not just end there. There is more to it than that especially where you become the VICTIM IN YOUR OWN FATHERLAND !! where you have less rights than foreigners, where you are not allowed to do certain things or invest in certain areas, or even enter certain Bars or Resturant because of your skin color, infact Namibia is the evidence of the weakness of the African continent, the result of our disunity. A clear example of where the Black Race can not defend it's own kind. Any educated Blackman living in Namibia can't just make this sort of statement as yours unless you are white.

Remember i said "All you can say is that since the Namibians are not revolting and trying to take back their lands and mines from the Germans , since they are content at the moment to live in shanty ghettos amidst abundance of resources, they are tolerated"

Now prove that wrong if you know about Namibia.

Yes i have, Twice!!!!
And on both trips you encountered racist Germans? And tell me
How did I lie when I clearly pointed out that this was my own view?I live In
Namibia and I have made that judgement on day to day eccounters and my personal background with Afrikaner people not by looking back at how the German settlers massacred people and grabbed land
Nairaland GeneralRe: Of Anger And Shame In Africa by gottfried21(m): 6:29am On Dec 26, 2014
thoth:
Sorry, but you just lied. Anyone who has been to Namibia and observed the sharp divide between the German have and Namibian Have Nots will not agree with you, I have seen the German residents and Namibian ghettos, the German owners of production which they forcefully stole during colonization and still held till today and the Namibian manual labor, All you can say is that since the Namibians are not revolting and trying to take back their lands and mines from the Germans , since they are content at the moment to live in shanty ghettos amidst abundance of resources, they are tolerated. Germans are the most racsist, hateful genocidal colonists, only second place to Belgians.
Ahu,Now tell me,Have you ever been to Namibia?
Nairaland GeneralRe: Of Anger And Shame In Africa by gottfried21(m): 3:52am On Dec 26, 2014
Sorry for referring to an old post but,In Namibia the Germans aren't that racist and are actually more tolerable to black people and treat most with equal respect(Which we all deserve) I would personally say that Afrikaaners(not all) are more racist than the Germans, interesting Article though.
