when I was in Calabar in 2018 a plate was 300 or 400 in some places at Etta-Agbor . White soup was 500 I miss Calabar though

None of those places sell food less than N800/plate now.

During job hunting yesterday, I became very hungry and felt like I was about to faint in the nearest possible time if I don't have something down my stomach, having left the house without food. Normally I don't like eating outside because it's more expensive and you get less for your money but due to the level of hunger I was, I had no option than to look for the nearest place to eat.

A broke applicant, I went to the least of restaurant to eat and the least price for Garri and soup was N800, here in Calabar. Hmmmmm. Na wa o. The poor are really suffocating.

Anyways, I watched one video where Tinubu said "let the poor breathe. Don't suffocate them". Standing beside him was Buhari who was looking at him with a stern eye. I don't know why he wasn't comfortable with the statement.

Please let the poor (job seekers are in this group) breathe. Don't suffocate us the more. What is even the value of naira when the lowest plate of food is N800?

That N800 pain me eh. It would have done me better at home. Now no food at home, hungry and penniless.

How much is it in your area?

E don reach like this? Do they even have the rights to do this? Even that eatery can sue them for harrasing and assualting their customer, thereby soiling the reputation of the company.

Presently am depressed and need help

It's well with you and all of us genuinely in need of a job.

Today alone, I have spent the little money left with me to move to places. Here, stations are not selling fuel again and I learned black marketers sell as high as N1200/litre. A distance of what used to be N400 is today N700. To and fro cost me a total of N700 alone on transportation. This was after I had to stay empty stomach to be able to pay the transport fare. Besides, I also trekked where it was possible for me just to reduce cost.

Now I'm back home hungry and penniless.

Isn't this going to add more suffering especially on the unemployed and applicants?

Truly, job hunting is not cheap.

I really need a job.

Some is not actually sense of entitlement, but show of kindness. Like he said, how can a family member be sick and need help and you have the capacity to help but refuses to. If eventually the same person dies, you will come and shed fake tears. Please try and separate entitlement from "doing good".
