In fairness to the complainant, why would such a woman even consider going for a beauty pageant. This is not about racism. Would she have won any beauty pageant in Nigeria? This controversy should have been avoided. She shouldn't have won. Though I learnt that ugly black woman actually look more beautiful in the eyes of some white people. It is possible some of the judges fall in this category of people.

First of all, no I don't agree with what he does. It is disgusting and degrading.

The fact that this is morally wrong doesn't make it a criminal offence. Welcome to Nigeria where people in power and the government can do whatever they want.

It is a rare disease in the western world, but not so rare in Nigeria, especially northern Nigeria. My team and I have seen and managed over twenty of such cases in the past few months.

It may have no obvious cause, such are said to be idiopathic in origin.
We are working on publishing our experience in this region.

It is noteworthy that the survival rate for full blown ones is not quite encouraging.
