helinues: There have been so many misleading information about the new tax law.
If you are earning below N800k, you won't be taxed and if your earnings fall above N1m which is the first tax rate formula, N800k from your N1m is tax free, the charges on the tax will be on the extra N200k
anyilalaz: Op, it sad and unfortunate you want to ditch engineering to marketing. Who told you there is no job for electrical and electronic engineers in the country. Do this program : PLC with expertise in any two of Allen Bradley, ABB, Honeywell or Siemens and you will come and thank me latest six months after knowing all about it in solving problems and providing solutions. I rest my case... You could earn as more as 500k to million for a start as an expert
na2016: OP: Follow your EEE route and thank me later. That course and computer science are selling like mad outside this country. Any idiot can be a marketer and get certifications
I work as a senior brand designer in one of the multinationals in the country. My being there sparked my interest in building a career in marketing.
I am from an Electrical Electronics Engineering background. While in school i loved both engineering and graphics design. I have also wanted the opportunity of working for brands to change or improve consumer perception of a product from ideation to final production.
Here's the thing, I want to start a career in marketing if I'm to remain in Nigeria next year, I'd have to take the necessary certifications needed and jobs that will get me to the peak of the career. On the other hand, I want to continue my career in Engineering. This would mean I travel out of the country for masters and stay there for the next 10 years building that dream.
Reason is the discipline of Engineering I chose, getting jobs is not easy in Nigeria, especially when you want to grow in the core of electrical /electronics engineering and make good money. Please not companies like Ikedc.
Now I'm confused on which to go for. I completed my youth service last year. I'm just starting life fully and don't want to waste time and opportunities.
omooba969: This is because guys are known to do the talking and chasing all the time, therefore have mastered the art and are used to the rejection in some cases.
On the other hand, the ladies whom are known to always wait for the guy to come over and chase them, now lack the confidence, courage and skills coz they don't know how to do it - THEY FEAR REJECTION PASS NIGERIAN POLICE.
The ones amongst them who are used to making passes at guys are so skilled and wise that they can confidently dare to snatch another girl's BF. They will achieve same in most cases coz they know what to do and how to do it. These are the ones who can wrap the husbands round their fingers.
But really it isn't hard. Same way it's easy to reject a guy should be the same way you should be bold enough to take a rejection.
But on a serious note I wonder like... Why is it that hard.. If a guy says No.. It's painful but it helps you accept the rejection next time without have feelings about it.
Same with the guy too. My first rejection I felt very bad, like the earth should just swallow me..
Subsequent ones I became used to it... And make jokes out of it. Now I really don't ask girls anymore. My sense of humor and everything other thing about me just attracts their attention.
When you get to Ogun State and stay for sometime one of the questions you would ask yourself is...
Is there a sitting Governor
Roads are very bad... They aren't motorable Why can't he think of something that will reduce the suffering of the cummuters, Ogun State be looking like its backwards.
Adonisteve: just chill, it is the law in the state, you people just hate Islam thinking you're too wise and more civilised than others. Saudi Arabia doesn't allow alcohol and they are far better than Nigeria. Dubai that just lifted the ban was a better country than Nigeria and even after lifting the ban, they will still be better than Nigeria. So alcohol doesn't determine a country's development. Or do you mean that every individual who doesn't consume alcohol is backward?
Don't you get it... Instead of destroying it why can't you return it back to its factory...
The allocation FG shares monthly are you saying taxes from these drinks are not embedded in it.
You guys aren't supposed to be getting any allocation coz its also stained with proceeds from these drinks it's wickedness and a high level of hypocrisy.
360degreess: .. You are wrong. They are trying to follow their scriptures. Alcohol is also prohibited in your scripture, it's just that you are too ignorant to know. See : proverb 20:1, 1corintians 5:11, 1corintians 6:10, ephesians 5:18 etc.. You prefer to follow(worship) your pastors, Bishops, Rev., etc.. The Christians only follow Jesus by lips not by deeds. No wonder the Qur'an described the Christians as ignorants when it comes to "spiritual" matters.
