Goddex: That statement smacks of his well-known ‘’god-fatherist’’ instincts, which he has been using to dictate and monopolize decisions in his various, one-man-party summersaults – AC, ACN and now APC – all in six years!!. AD advises Tinubu not to let his dictatorial tendencies of godfather ego be the cause of an implosion in his latest, ideologically-barren political gang-up, which seems to have no deeper rationale than just opposing the PDP and taking over the Presidency. The above statements is from Afeniferi to Tinubu. Imagine what will happen to Anambra state when Ngige begin to service his godfather (tinubu) with Anambra state money. Ngige you want to bring Amala and Ewedu politics into Anambra? Chai! God go punish you |
Tinubu need to take it easy while jumping into national issues |

4chi: This evil woman has no speck of good in her. After having her fill of occultic blood sucking, the vampire minister is extremely corrupt to boot. Morally, she is a loose cannon. Her stock in trade is fvking boys young enough to be her son and manipulating their destinies. Jim Iyke is one of her victims. She is pure evil and NOTHING good can come out of her reign in the aviation sector. What good has come out of your miserable and nitwit life? |
Good radiance to bad influence |
We need to give attention to every sector and not just being concerned about the aviation woes. The State and Federal Govt should give great concern to the roads and not just think of the woes in the aviation sector alone. Lagos/Badagry, Lagos/Ibadan expressway, Benin/Ore road, infact all the federal and state roads should be given great attention. It is sad that people loose their lives daily on our roads. Not much attention is being given to this area that millions of people travel on. Just as I am concern about the aviation sector, I am much more concerned about the safety on the roads. Our leaders should wake up to their responsibilities and give attention to the Nigeria roads that have suddenly become death traps. I pray that the Lord will touch the hearts of our leaders and not just being concerned about their selfish ambition while lives are perishing. |
Kazeem Ugbodaga Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, western Nigeria, has called on the Federal Government to mete out appropriate punishment on all those behind the numerous woes being experienced in the aviation sector. The nation’s aviation sector has in recent time come under serious problem and national embarrassment, with the Associated Airline that crashed early this month, and two other planes in near mishap in less than two weeks. Fashola, who received the Air Officer Commanding, Logistic Command, Nigerian Air Force, Ikeja, Air Vice Marshal Monday Morgan on a courtesy visit at the State House, Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria on Monday said it was by meting out appropriate punishment on those who compromised standards in the Aviation industry that the problems in the sector could be curbed. “It is no secret that a section of our national life which you are concerned with the military part of it, the aviation industry is under public scrutiny now, which is safety in the sky. I want to use this medium to appeal to you and your colleagues in the aviation sector, that what is needed to be done in order to improve upon safety in that area must be done. “We must never think twice about it. It makes our job easy. This is because we have responsibility for safety of life and property in the state. But it isn’t only safety that is induced by terror and crime. We cannot secure life and property if certain safety standards aren’t kept,” he explained. “It adds to the index of the causalities that we may have to deal with. There must be uncompromising standards about ensuring safety whether on the side of the military or aviation. Everybody must work together to make the Nigerian Aviation industry safer so that when people board aircraft from the country, they must feel confident that nothing unusual will happen,” he added. The governor explained that everyone knew that aircraft were mechanical devices that could fail, stressing that there is a protocol for keeping mechanical devices operational and functional. “And all those in the aviation industry know what all these protocols are about. And if people drop the ball in those areas, there must be nothing fitting and proper than the extreme punishment in order to demonstrate the value that we put on the life of every Nigerian. That is the only way we can ensure that people who are entrusted with other people’s life will treat those lives with the same level of care, as they will treat their own,” he stated. Morgan commended Fashola on his effort to improve the security situation in the state, stressing that the governor’s aggression and youthfulness had brought positively progress in the development of the state. “It gives me a lot of hope that Nigeria is benefitting from the wealth of experience of the youth. Your common contribution to the security agencies in the state has helped to boost the morale of the security officers and I want to assure you today that we will always be available to render our service to the state whenever we are called upon,” he stated. He stated that the Air Force would like to be part of developmental trend while appealing to the governor to extend his hand of friendship to structures that were begging for redevelopment within the base as the military budget could not cover all the expenses. http://kaaf.com/2013/10/Fashola-Nigeria-must-punish-those-behind-aviation-woes-453813 |

biggie01: For your infomation, APC has four northern governors and SE has only one, as for oligarchy or power, if you like call it autocracy or inpunity what matter is, they are united and if democracy is allowed they will win because of their consensus.Am ain't a political analyst but i know that politics is a game of "interest" (what is in there for me) do you believe that people like IBB, Danjuma, Atiku, Gowon, Abudulsalami', all northern governors, all senators, House of assemble members, serving ministers local government chairmens etc will dump their "personal interest" to support Apc? Have you ask your self why newpdp members refused to join another party? |
biggie01: I have read with keen interest the contribution of fellow nairalanders to this purpottedly biased report and i discovered majority of the responders didnt read the report in between lines. why is the position of the senate president not reported? why is this kind of report coming some days to Anambra gurbernitorial election? which conference was held to conclude on this? a party made up of several conglomerates will just meet in a sitting room of one chieftain to decide? smh!! do you all think the reason for Okorocha's participation is to run for the VP's position in 2015?Very nice.... Pls remind me the number of APC governor in the North Secondly; what's interest of northern oligarchy is it party or power? Do you believe that North will support APC if PDP decide to chose their frag bearer from north? |
Kei144: A respected prophet (Suleiman?) wrote clearly that Igbos should forget Nigeria's presidency (forever), but unbelieving Igbos think it is a joke. Igbos don't know what it means to be Jews. Being Jews means that Deuteronomy 28:15-68 applies to Igbos.Hmmm |
Segeggs: keep quiet! UNN is not among the top ten elite universities in nigeria- check NUC's 2013 list .Another yaba left candidate |
Rochas don suffer bi that. 2015 PDP or APGA will take over Imo state government house |
From the ibo perspective, that's obviously not the case. UI was established by Britain for British students, while nsukka was established by Shukwudi & sons for students like Donatus, Syvanus etc
See what is confusing the guy, so don't blame him^ The University of Nigeria was the first full-fledged indigenous and first autonomous university in Nigeria, modeled upon the American educational system. It is the first land-grant university in Africa and one of the five elite universities in the country. |
APC i hail thee........ |
Tayeni: its not about the tribe, its about the personality and character of a leader my friend.Chai! So my brother rochas doesn't have the required "personality and character"? And he was making noise all this while causing public nuisance |

BY LEKE ADESERI, South West Regional Editor & DAYO JOHNSON AKURE — SENATOR Iyiola Omisore, weekend, described as regressive and confusing the merging of schools in Osun State by Governor Rauf Aregbesola. The former senator from Osun East in the National Assembly, said the action was a reflection of lack of administrative qualities. Omisore spoke in Akure after paying condolence visit to Chief Olu Falae on the death of his son, Deji in a plane crash recently. He said that the merger of schools “is unfortunate to be happening to us in the 21st century. I believe that it is a sign of lack of content and lack of in-depth administrative qualities in the area of education. “Now schools are being merged, schools of different cultures, different backgrounds, some are males only, some females only; they are now being merged under the guise of educational policy. “I think that is a start of gangsterism, activism, I think the government is under siege; it is confused.” According to the former deputy governor: “The people have the right to protest the merger because it is against their wish and aspiration particularly, when in many states, schools are being returned to the missions. Omisore boasted that, “I am telling you, we are going to eject the young man out of the Government House in 2014 by God’s grace. He’s ignorant of the issues — Osun govt In a swift reaction, the state government through the Director of Bureau of Communication and Strategy, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon said it is sad that Senator Omisore is unaware of issues surrounding ownership of schools: “The structures that we met were so bad that we decided that we were not going to allow it. Some schools were beyond repairs and were evident reasons of the mass failure in public examinations. “Even if we wanted to repair them, they were so bad that repairing them would amount to sheer waste of our scarce resources. “The United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, UNESCO, says there must not be more than 1,000 students in a school. Beyond that, the management of the school will be difficult. “Conscious of this fact, we decided that we should build schools with all facilities for children’s development –mental, physical and psycho- motor, in a given place to give value to investment. “Omisore’s incoherent, uncoordinated attack on the education reforms in Osun only demonstrates his penchant and those of his cohorts for the kind of educational standards that his party sustained in order to keep the bulk of our people totally relegated and weakened to be productive enough for the society. “Selfish in their actions, parochial in their thoughts, Omisore and the culture he represents would never see anything good in people-focused, development-oriented educational policies that seek to make a total, independent man out of an Osun child. “Did this former senator ever bother about the statistics of performance of students in Osun to have the correct figures. We are happy to educate him that in 2009, Osun was 34th; in 2010 before this administration came in, Osun was 32nd, but the first examination conducted in 2011 after the emergence of this administration and a quick intervention, Osun came to 18th position in the country which still remains unacceptable. So, we challenge Omisore to come out with his statistics and where he sourced it from. “We must add here that it is obvious that Omisore was jolted by the royal endorsement of the Aregbesola educational reforms in Osun by his monarch, Oba Okunade Sijuwade.” Coming on a day that national dailies reported Omisore’s traditional ruler as commending the education reforms and restructuring, describing it as the best thing that is happening to the state, Omisore has certainly lost touch with his root as he seeks to fault his traditional ruler over his honest assessment of the current trend in education in Osun.. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/omisore-osun-govt-trade-words-merger-schools/

Guy condemn bad thing when you see them so that it will not repeat again pazienza: That happened ages ago, why can't you guys let that go already, how long do you intend to gloat over it?One wonder why it keep on coming from a particular section of the country From AIYETOKO •So, Stephen Keshi has taken the Green Eagles to the final of AFCON and Nigerians and the Nigerian media are rejoicing. What a display of shortsightedness. Is this not the same nation that wrote off the team when it looked as if it would not get out of the group stage? And rightly so too! On my part, I don't care if Stephen Keshi wins the cup and makes history as the second person to ever win the competition as a player and as a coach; he is not worthy of his job and he must be sacked and his job given to someone who understands the politics of national football team management. Yes, the politics! For what does talent has to do with representing our nation? Ask yourself an honest question: is it fair that Keshi selected a team devoid of our beloved practice of Federal Character? Just examine the squad list: Vincent Enyeama, Joseph Yobo, Elderson Echiejile, Obiora nwankwo, Efe Ambrose, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Brown Ideye, Emmanuel Emenike, John Obi Mikel, Reuben Gabriel, Fegor Ogude, Godfrey Oboabona, Ikechuckwu Uche, Austin Ejide, Ogenyi Onazi. Ejike Uzoenyi, Sunday Mba, Nosa Igiebor, Juwon Oshaniwa, Kenneth Omeruo, Chigozie Abim. If you cannot see that this is an Igbo team, then you should take yourself to Specsavers for a pair of good glasses. How can we as a nation rejoice in a team that does not reflect our unity in diversity? Is Keshi saying that there are no Yoruba or Hausa players worthy of selection? Of course there are! Keshi has put up nothing but an Igbo team with a few odd inclusion of non-Igbo players amounting to nothing but tokenism! It is for this reason that his achievement is tainted! Kai! How did a PDP Government, a party so vast in the promotion of regional inclusiveness even allow Stephen Keshi to get away with this aberration? Is this not the same party that have sectioned the Presidency into turns? Yes, every region must wait their turn to present a president and it does not matter if he or she is the village idiot. PDP carry go! It beggars belief therefore that Nigerians are rejoicing as a nation and pretending that all is well with the team simply because the Eagles seem to be flying again. I ask, whatever happened to our psyche which relies on the principle of "not sufficient to rely on the best, we must call on the rest." For how else will the rest be expected to have a sense of national pride if no one from their tribe is represented in the team? Keshi errs therefore in selecting an unbalanced national team made up mainly of people from one section of the nation to represent us; surely that is why it is called a national team. We need a team to include players with names like Adunbarin Agbabiaka, Wole Eniolorunopa, Segun Legunleko, Akin Jengbojenju, Danlami Dahiru, Ahmed Danbaba, Balarabe Gambo, Bashir Bako; and if you cannot see this, you are seriously compromised! Who does he think he is then, only taking the best? What does having the talent to kick around a football has to do with anything? With such unsound rationale, Stephen Keshi has missed the point of this job: a national coach must rise above myopic sentiments and select a team reflective of our national and federal character. Every region, I submit, must get its quota! So, trophy or no trophy, Stephen Keshi must be summarily dismissed and good old Federal Character reinstated pronto! |
onila: Ethiopians its not that serious, its just a gameWey the car? Na only 1 fine yansh i de see |
pazienza: Nnaa lets stop this nah, no need rubbing things on people's faces, you guys should stop this already. This team was once tagged a sectional team from a particular section of this country and demand for the coach to be sacked • The present set of Super Eagles, assembled by Coach Stephen Keshi has been described as a sectional team which doesn’t reflect the true representation of Nigeria’s strength in soccer and the federal character symphony we always see in our national teams. Chairman Oyo State Chapter of Nigerian Union of Journalist, Comrade Gbenga Opadotun made this call in Ibadan while reacting on the dismal outing of the Super Eagles in their first outing in the on-going African Nations Cup in South Africa. The NUJ boss queried why a player like Obafemi Martins with his improved form was excluded from the AFCON team leaving the team without any player from South-West geo-political zone of the country. ''What we all wanted is the success of our national team but Coach Stephen Keshi has given lots of room for questions in the composition and way he assembled his team for the Nation Cup, there is no way that one would not be forced to ask questions with what the team played against Burkina-Faso in their first match. ''Without any prejudice to this present crop of players and their handler, me I don’t see them as a true representation of our present strength in the game of football that we all love and follow in Nigeria. Keshi should try and balance the composition of the team to reflect federal character that is being practiced in the country”, Opadotun, an ardent 3SC fan noted. http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=8833#.UQ6X0L8MimI.facebook |
