How Peter Obi outsmarted President Tinubu & Atiku Abubakar.

For starters, NDC was registered by order of the court, the only body that can appeal that judgement is INEC, and the window for appeal has elapse

Few days ago Nigerian polity was agog with jubilation after his excellency Mr Peter Obi announced his defection to Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

What many do not know is that NDC was registered by Senator Dickson Seriake in February 2026 few weeks after Peter Obi had a close door meeting with him.

Senator Dickson is the former Governor of Bayelsa state , the same state as Nigeria's former President, Goodluck Johnathan.

While Peter Obi was paying visits to Goodluck Johnathan in Otueke, there were rumors that the former President was set to contest for Presidency under NDC .

This made president Tinubu didn't care about the NDC .

While Tinubu focused on destabilizing Labour Party and ADC , while INEC was busy frustrating the registration of political parties they suspected to be from Peter Obi's people.....

Nigeria's Former president and Senator Dickson were preparing NDC for Peter Obi .

Do you remember when the same Senator Dickson paid Rabiu Kwankwaso a visit in Kano state ?

That was why Peter Obi kept on assuring Nigerians that he will be in the ballot box no matter what happens.

Peter Obi knew that APC agents in the leadership of ADC will never allow him get their Presidential ticket

When ADC decided to make Atiku Abubakar their consensus candidate, Peter Obi and his People knew it was time to activate Plan B .

Now here is the thing,

When Tinubu got the wind of the gist that Peter Obi could decamp to NDC,

They sent their People in the National Assembly to pass the law that will stop any last decamp by any aspirant,

Unfortunately for them , before they could achieve their aim....

Peter Obi and his people decamped to NDC .

President Tinubu was taken unawares by Peter Obi's sudden defection that he had to cancel his proposed trip to Rwanda and Kenya.

Now he will need to figure out how to destabilize NDC within a short period of time.

But it shall not work

Because Peter obi is already at the 2027 ballot against him

I think ATIKU can always form another platform but it seems the main reason they want ADC by all means is because the name is close to APC. ADC is currently having too many problems. The best thing to do is just to port somewhere else immediately because time is of essence.

I'm also having the same feeling like some other persons that the supreme court's judgement is a big trap. The legal tussle might last more than expected.

If Atiku had waited without forming APC opposition against Jonathan, he would have become president after Jonathan's second term in 2019. And he ought to be completing his 8 years next year 2027.
