Beloved, to me music plays a very vital role. Am philosophical in a christian way. When music is played, I listen and connect with what is being said. And, not every so called gospel music I listen to. Am sorry to say, some people sing to entertain, some people sing to worship. I have been opportune to be in the programs where many top Nigerian gospel artist have ministered over and over. There are two I highly respect. Frank Edward and Samsung. These men tell you that they seize every opportunity to worship their God, they usually will tell you that, though you invited them, but they are not there for you, they are there to worship their God, and pls do the same and let it not be about them.
When they minister, you feel the humility and reverence exude from them, you truly see that indeed they are worshippers.
Pls I don't mean any offends, but Joe Praise is an entertainer. Just a musician who just happen to be singing what he calls gospel.
He came once, displayed, jumped about, and broke our pulpit in the process. Lol. God abeg forgive me oo. I be human being.

There are at least two ingredients for keeping possession of Holy Spirit, they are:
1) God's presence - Remaining or staying in God's presence
2) Willing spirit - Having a willing spirit

The lack of 1 and 2 undermines the Holy Spirit and causes a total loss of it (i.e. quenches it)

The loss of the Holy Spirit, is clear or obvious to the trained eye, mind or observer
and the loss might manifest in two ways:
1) Instant total loss - total loss of Holy Spirit happening or coming immediately
2) Gradual loss - loss taking place slowly with a lingering residual Holy Spirit

Samson in Judges 16:20 and King Saul in 1 Samuel 16:14, are two examples of where, when the plug is pulled, the Spirit effectively is quenched and there is ''Total loss of the Holy Spirit''
Samson and King Saul, are also examples of the active resistance against God's work, and also persistent rebellion/sin getting the Spirit quenched vooks talked about

Gradual loss, where loss of the Holy Spirit can take place slowly with a lingering residual Holy Spirit, occurs in society today among believers, known as yesterday's man

We all know that one of the characteristics of a plugged in and switched on electric iron is heat (i.e. it gets hot or have high temperatures)
it also is known that, a just finished used iron, remains hot for a while even though it's being switched off and unplugged from the electic socket.

The Holy Spirit and believers, to a certain degree, are somewhat like the electric current flowing through the cable making a plugged in and switched on electric iron hot.
- The Holy Spirit is the electric current flowing through the cable and the believer is the electric iron

Now the reason for this lingering post, is merely to touch on that kind of believer tagged ''yesterday's man'' and the connection with Gradual loss
(i.e. loss taking place slowly with a lingering residual Holy Spirit)

The ''Yesterday's man'' believers, are like, a just used iron, switched off and unplugged from the electic socket but remaining hot due to residual heat
The Holy Spirit has been quenched and stopped flowing into the ''yesterday's man'' believer
but the ''yesterday's man'' believer, to some degrees, even after the switch off and unplugging from the Source,
remains still ''hot'' due to the lingering residual ''heat'' Holy Spirit

Most ''yesterday's man'' believer, dont know the Holy Spirit has been quenched because they are still showing the characteristics of the Holy Spirit, as in that lingering residual ''heat'' Holy Spirit

When the lingering residual ''heat'' Holy Spirit is finally and totally lost, then some of the ''yesterday's man'' believers turn to making unholy alliances with dark forces and/or undesirable spiritual entities to save face

The gullible and easily influenced who dont know about the ''yesterday's man'' believer's total loss of the Holy Spirit and the fake one replacing the original are easily deceived by it

Let me add small to this topic call tithe.
Malachi 3: 8-11 show how God take an individual that dont pay for tithe and offering and there is a curse at verse 9. Those people are thief according to the Word of God.
The brother that raise this topic said that those practice are in old testament ie law dispensation.
We are in the era of Grace and truth(John 1: 17). Grace does not mean we should not obey the law or instruction that was laid down to us. If we take because we are in Grace to do against the law or the will of God that is sin(unrighteousnes). All the law in old testament point to Jesus which is TRUTH. Truth lead to freedom(John 8:32) So the dispensation we are into is Grace and Truth which came by Jesus(John 1:17).

The Spirit of God makes me to understand that poverty in the life of many believers has its origin on the curse that was laid on man in Genesis 3: 17-19. The ground spoken on the verse signified business and work.

So its take mercy of God to remove the curse on the financial life of the believers.

Ur case is a chronic spirit husband and spirit husband like marine spirits is a very stubborn spirit to deal with.

Now, These is not to make you afraid but to let you know, that these guy has made your life miserable enough.

These is what I would recommend.

1. Give your life to christ
2. Flee from any thing that can tamper with purity
3. Begin to destroy every legal ground the enemy has over your life and the legal ground he has found or using to oppress you by the blood of Jesus
4. Begin to request for mercy.. that God should have mercy on you.
5. Then go to prayer city on a monday morning and do deliverance.. Take along ur tissue paper, anointing oil, not attachments and dress well
6. I would encourage you to do full week deliverance and if you can go on the week there is weekend deliverance do full week and end with weekend.
7. Discuss with the ministers there and God would surprise you..

N.B why I recommended prayer city is because of concentration.

Tongues of men are these language that unites us. It enables us pass information across. Igbo Yoruba, Hausa, and English languages. But the Tongues of Angels is the one we aquire as we get baptized in the Holy Ghost.

The bible verse yoi quoted is not about speaking in tongues, that is when the spirit of the lord is upon you..

The spirit of the Lord been upon means you have the license to speak in tongues but it does not mean you are speaking in tongues.

That is why a man can be filled with the spirit and not speak in tongues.

Speaking in tongues is an evidence of baptism.. Note the word EVIDENCE. That means if you are not sure you have the holy spirit by speaking in tongues. It has been confirmed beyond reasonable doubt you have it.

Noe to the fruit of the spirit part... it is the called fruit because it has ti be beared by the believer having received the baptism.

Now, when a man becomes born again, it is spirit that becomes born again, which means all the other desires of the flesh are still there but with constant fellowship and guidance with the holy spirit he becomes a better person. A man get born again today receive baptism today.. Does that mean he will automatically stop all the desires of the flesh.. No, that why there is whay we call follow up in churches., someone is assign to the person to encourage the person and the likes so that the person can get better, its not automatic, it is learnt and beared.

The part of a pastor telling to speaking in tongue, once you havr the baptism you already under the influence of the holy spirit, You carry the power already so when he say begin to oray in the holy ghost, your spritman is activated and the holy sprit begin to give you utterance. And it all depends on your level of growth for some until the atmosphere is charged they can't5 speak in tongues. Why some even if the atmosphere idps not charge they will charge it with there tongues..

I knew next to nothing about the baptism of the Holy Spirit wen i received the experience as a matter of fact i was in a program organized for youths wen d message about the Holy Spirit was preached and I received not really having the knowledge. I was as a matter of fact battling with condemnation of sin dat period so wen d message was preached i was praying for purity of heart and d grace to stop living a rising and falling life.
There is a difference between the tongues and diversity of tongues. Paul talked about speaking in the tongues of men and tongues of angel. Wen He talked about tongues, he said the understanding of the speaker is unfruitful because he speaks mysteries in the spirit but wen he talked about the gift of diversity of tongues which is equivalent to prophesy as long as there is an interpretation of it. He that speaks in tongue speaks to God but d gift of diversity of tongues is God speaking to man through another man and there is usually someone in the congregation that has the interpretation or the person who hears it knows that language. I av seen this in operation.

As long as it's the Father you are asking for the gift of the Holy Spirit and not some man, you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit. You can decide wen you want it. All you need to do is leave a place where you can be distracted so you can concentrate your full attention to God. Pray, declare that you have received and drink of the Holy Spirit. You can use dis scripture for meditation. Luke3:16, John7:37,38, mark16:17

Danki. I will need you to listen carefully. Years ago, God sent a dear Christian brother my way who mentored me to who I am today in Christ. When we met him, I was in the hospital, he came for hospital evangelism. At that point he was preparing to bury a friend in his church. This my brother was the head of their churche's deliverance team. He lost one of his members.

What happened? Here is what happened. As at when he was going to bury his friend and brother in Christ, he didn't know what happened until later.

Months after this brother died, a sister in church, the same church(Assemblies of God, Silver Valley, Port Harcourt) a chorester, went for deliverance. When she went they were surprised that she would come for deliverance. She said she couldn't sleep, because of bad dreams and attacks. She said she's suspecting that she was under some kind of spell. So, she needed deliverance. Fine. Questions were asked and all. They went into prayer. Nothing was happening. At this point my young friend was not present, then he walked in, all like a flash, the girl went wild. Uncontrollably wild. By the authority in the name of Jesus Christ, she was subdued. She started confession.

She killed their team member by spiritually poisoning him by having sex with him.
She was there to manipulate, weaken and kill the fiercest opposition, by seduction. She said her private part opening leads straight to the mouth of serpent. That whatever comes out of a man she sleeps with goes straight to the belly of the serpent.

She started by getting friendly with the brother in church. Seemed to be interested in Bible study. Always wanting to ask one questiom or the other. So one evening without notice, she went to the guys house. She gave excuse of being in the neighbourhood and she sighted the brother so she thought to check If he was the one. She insisted she will sleep on the floor tomorrow morning she will leave. The guy weakly objected but allowed her. It was just a room so the guy left the bed for her and slept on the rug. At night, the demons were done with him, she came down and started working on this guy, he woke up and rebuke her, she apologised profusely, went back up, later she came down again, but this time, the guy was too weak to resist her. They finished it. She woke up and left very early. Nobody even knew she was there. But the guy couldn't wake up from that sleep. That was the guy my young pastor went to bury when I met him.

The girl came for the second victim, but her strategy was wrong, and the person she picked was also wrong, so got struck down. All these she confessed. Of course the brother was long dead, we can't have his side of the story.

Before that girl was finally delivered from what her parents had put her through spiritually. She almost died in the process. That girl was pregnant with a spirit child. She told them that, and that to disconnect Compleyely from the Marine, she needed a miscarriage. She practically lived in church for close to a month. She finally had a miscarriage. One morning she felt like something wanted to come out of her, my dear, a jelly like object. Transparent like glass, but like jelly, in a shape of a fish fell out of her body. It was alive for some minutes before it stopped moving. That was her marine child. That marked the end of her ordeal with the Marine Kingdom.

God said, "The answers you got from the Orange Seller, the Vegetable Seller, the Jeweler & the Precious Stone's Seller explain the value of our life... You may be a precious stone, even priceless, but people may value you based on their level of information, their belief in you, their motive behind entertaining you, their ambition, and their risk taking ability. Today is my birthday.

I may not have archived what I should materially, (from man's perspective of course), But I have life. And my life is much more valuable to me than any material thing on earth.
For me to acquire anything in this world, I will need to be alive first. And that, God has blessed me with and for this I THANK HIM.
The gift of my life is precious.
The two very dear friends who ran to my hospital bed immidiately they heard about my accident, are both dead today. Everyday, I wish Patrick could take my place and live instead. A great person such as him, shouldn't just die as he did.
And what about MaryJoe? O my God. While I was down, on a Christmas day, she sent food across two states to get to where I was, not as though I didn't have what to eat, but to show how much she cared. If she were alive today, she wld do everything to celebrate this day. But God allowed such a good person to pass. What can I say Lord? Thank You.

The forces of darkness were gathered there at that lroko tree. I called for the fire of the Holy Spirit to rain upon them. Guess what? In the physical, l heard the voices of women shouting ontop of that tree. Disaster struck them that night.

If you can take controll of that area you stay, work, live or school. if you take hold of it in the spirit realm, revival and salvation of soul will breakforth but the enemy wont allow you to just get it easily like that becos he knows the Gospel will take over that area.

In coastal and riverine areas, Associated spiritual forces that tend to dominate are marine and serpentine spirits. Let me hold on there.

In 2013, at one of the state capital in the nigerdelta, l was there for an official assignment. There l met this lady and her lovely son passing infront of me. The young lad was asking his mother for buscuit as they passed by but she gently told him no money in the purse again.

As they went l watched the drama between mother and son. Then, out of concern l called the lad and gave him some money. [Note the mother is member of the Church choir and they came for a church programme]

As night fell, l and my friends were still at the street corner when l saw this Lady and her son walked over to where l was. She narrated her ordeal and at the end offered to give me a gift from her bag, but l gently refused. (Through Spirit l was able to know who she WAS).

Becos l refused her gift and asked the youngman with me to do same. She felt bad and guess what followed? The spirits in her started manifesting. By the power of the Holy Spirit, l was able to control the situation.

Even though is for a week, month or briefly, we should endeavour to know the power dominating an environent. It enable us demonstrate the power of the Gospel through Christ.

May the Lord grant us more understanding. Amen.

Secondly, how do I hear from the Holy Spirit after reading my bible? Everytime after reading, I wait to see if I can hear Him speak(even in my mind) but I don't hear anything. I really long for that experience.
So this has made me always read my Bible for reading sake. But I really long for that experience wher ican read with the Holy Spirit. Pls what is it am not doing right

In your first comment, you desire hunger and thirst for God..... The hunger is there already. Its the hunger that made you know search for God to know Him more.

Second, we normally here God in our heart or spirit as a still small voice. Thats where you will start first to hear Him.
NOTE; He will be speaking to you by leading you to do righteousness(DONT FORGET THIS). All you need to do is obey Him as He lead you in a way of righteousness(is not easy my there, but try do righteousness).

To be spiritual, you must obey everything you are told to do in the Word of God.
Application matters a lot.
Remember practice makes perfect. Continue practicing the Word, in time to come it will become a nature in you.
THEREBY CARRYING THE PRESENCE OF GOD(WORD OF GOD) IN YOU.

How scared of demons are you?
. For believers still afraid of demons, it is because you don't know who ur father is. You think demons are scary? please take a quick glance at the book of ezekiel chapter 1 and see how d Bible described Cherubims. In dat vision, ezekiel saw 4 Cherubims before d throne of God. Do you realize dat d devil is just one out of many Cherubims in glory? There are several Spirits far greater than the devil in Glory. D Bible tells us that the sit of the devil was at eden. The greater the level of Spirits, the more closer they are to the throne of God. Before the throne, there are the seven Spirits of God and then d 24 Elders, Seraphims, Cherubims (of higher class than satan) etc. Do you see how dis rubbished the devil.
Hierarchy of God's Creation
Dis are the hierarchy of things created
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

God still has all thrones and dominion on His side. D devil was able to get just 1/3 of principalities under his control.
My spiritual prescription for all who wanna leave d level of wrestling demons and move on to Sonship is to finish d whole chapter 1 of colossians. As a matter of fact just try and meditate on d whole of ephesians chapter 1-3 until it becomes a part of your spirit man wait for d demon to come, don't pray just stare at it, it will know you are past its hold and never come back.
The church needs to take our Right standing in God
