The devil is always patient when he is drawing or plotting to destroy. It took over four years for him to perfect his plan to draw me away from Christ. All that was left was to denounce Christ. Guess what happened today?

I committed a great offence today and this night I was asking God for mercy. While praying I felt the presence of the holy spirit. I told him that to confirm that he has indeed heard my petitions and my request,he should give me a bible verse to read. I told him I wanted to hear his voice like hananhezron do. I actually said this. Before now, I have only heard his voice in the dream or within my heart.
After saying this, he told me the first chapter and after waiting for some seconds, he dropped the second. Well, I didn't actually hear his voice as a human being, but in the silence of my heart. After reading the verses, it was a confirmation that he has forgiven my sins and heard my request.

While I was thanking him for this, a thought came into my head that why don't I share it here, since I got inspired by hananhezron. I understood that the holy spirit is always with us, and is ready to speak in the silence of our hearts,or even with us hearing his voice audibly. The problem is, are we ready to listen?

I'm just catching up with some things I missed before I joined this forum. I'm amazed with some testimonies here. I just want to add something about tongues. Analice I believe your earlier stances that Satan and his agents cant understand tongues Is actually right. Here are some scriptures to buttress this
Paul writes :"The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14 RSV). This lack of understanding and discernment would apply all the more to Satan and his demons because they are the total description of carnality.
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Praying in tongues is speaking mystery and that verses says specifically it's a prayer ONLY TO GOD. if Satan could hear what we are saying, I believe he could easily empower any demon filled man to understand and that verse becomes nullified because man can now hear it.
Now unto another dimension of tongues :
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

From that scripture it becomes evident that only "He that searcheth the heart : "GOD" can know what's in the mind of the Spirit when we groan. Satan can't know the mind of the Spirit. I believe the same way only the Spirit searches the deep things of God and we can only have access to them by the helps of the Spirit, (1 Cor 2:8-12) also only God can know the mind of the Spirit. That's why it's a mystery, an encrypted line to the Godhead. So ur earlier standpoint was right.

For reason Best known to God he shows me things concerning this nation sometimes Though I don't usually operate revelation gifts ... I remember vividly during The Boko Haram crisis in late 2014, I think it was exactly the day Shiloh 2014 ended, I was just abt 3 months old in the faith then While serving in Abia state, When I got home that morning I slept and had a dream of a fierce boko Haram attack that was so deadly the entire village was burnt down, I was literally in agony that I screamed out of my bed, I told a friend of mine, who just told me not to worry, so I didn't pray about it, the funny thing is was when I saw that revelation I was never into the Boko Haram news stuff like that, a few weeks later, Boko Haram attacked baga and burnt the whole village and thousands died. What if I had prayed abt it? .
The next time God will give me a warning about the nation was some days to the initially scheduled date of the election, as I listened to the news that morning I caught a warning that I needed to pray or there will be serious bloodshed, this time around I told my fellow Corp members in the Corper's fellowship and we prayed, I had a vigil with a friend and we prayed to the point we just knew we had gotten an answer. Immediately after that they postponed the election for 6 weeks, and in that time Boko Haram was ravaged, not only that but Gej handed over peacefully. Nigerians will never know the level of divine intervention that took place, a civil war could have easily happened. Prayers move mountains.
But there is more I will like to share, I should have talked abt it here all this while.
In January this year during my church's 21 days fast God showed me before hand the problems this nation is facing today.
I was praying in tongues in the office, and I fell into a trance, in The trance I saw a large molded map of nigeria on the floor, Then I saw an Ibo man take a cutlass and walked straight to the map and divided a portion of the south south part of Nigeria and said we will divide this country Like this, then suddenly an Hausa man appeared behind him and pushed him away and said No it is this way, and right before me other people joined and big fight happened. In the trance I perceived that there was no basis for their quarrel but rather it appeared an evil entity was actually manipulating them and i was perplexed and started Crying out because they were fighting the wrong enemy "Why? Why are this people fight? "then I woke up. That same day, I was with a friend who has revelation gifts as we were praying abt something else, God showed me the flag of Nigeria that we should pray about the country, but I don't think we really prayed well about it. So when all this pipeline bombings and more just started I just knew it was partly my fault. Because the problem of this country is not Buhari OR anyone in power. It's the Spiritual wickedness in the heavenlies over nigeria that's at work. Until we taking praying for our leaders seriously and for revival things will get worse. IN FACT THINGS WILL GET WORSE, HOW DO I KNOW, THATS ANOTHER STORY FOR ANOTHER TIME.

Oga CharlyG1 God bless you jare, Good to have you back, I actually had an interesting dream this morning. I was with a group of people suddenly two lions (second time in my whole life, I've dreamt abt them) came to attack them (I'm really suspicious it's even due to my activities here lately and the two funny personalities) but I couldn't let them be torn apart and do nothing. So I chose to confront the lions and distract them so that others will escape, the lions then chased me to a room and I climbed the door, suddenly I realised I had a gun, but the gun had no bullet, so I was trapped there while d door gradually broke down, till a lady showed up and attacked the lions from the back. Now something interesting happened after these I saw myself holding down one lion and clasping the mouth forcefully while a lady did that for the other, but she wasn't strong enough to hold the other lion down and so I had to help her and press down the two. The next thing I noticed was they both turned to big snakes and became increasingly difficult to subdue and one of them was even trying to escape my grasp and bite my fingers. That's was when I woke up.

The two lions shall be wasted. They think they will succed here.

Why warfare prayers shouldn’t be the mainstay of a believer’s prayer life pt 2

One of the least understood scriptures in the bible which many so FAKE DELIVERANCE ministers and warfare prayer addicts have turned upside down is Ephesians 6:12
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places “
Many people just take this verse out of context and run with it. Kenneth Hagin would always say when people don’t have a sound understanding of a thing God says or is planning to do, they run into excesses and get into confusion and error.
Yes there is actually a wrestling against the forces of darkness, I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT SPIRITUAL WARFARE IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL BELIEVERS. But it’s not in the way many people view it. Some people have turn this to 90% of their prayer points, binding and casting every dream, every cat or bird, mother in law, trying to kill demon spirits and more. You will see so many churches holding many crusades with many funny titles around, yet most of these churches have no results, some even go as far as wearing military camouflage .lol.. THE PROBLEM IS THAT MOST PEOPLE DON’T ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS CHAPTER WAS SAYING ABOUT THEIR ADVERSARY “THE DEVIL”. But what does the bible say about warfare against him. Ephesians 6: 11-13 kjv
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

You see what Paul was saying that in the day of battle what you should be weary about is actually the trickery of the devil (NOT HIS POWER). PLEASE HOLD THAT LAST STATEMENT WITH BOTH HANDS IT WILL LIBERATE YOU.
In reality for every BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD, the devil and sin his most potent weapon has no power over you, what he however uses to attack you is TRICKERY, DEVILISH WISDOM. IF YOU ARE NOT BORN AGAIN FORGET IT, HE HAS RIGHT TO OPPRESS YOU, YOU ARE HIS PROPERTY, KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY HE CAN INFLUENCE AND CONTROL YOU (EPHESIANS 2:1-2). BUT WHEN YOU BECOME BORN AGAIN IT’S DIFFERENT WHY?

What we however have to fight are the wiles and trickery of the devil.
At creation devil had no power over the pre-fall man, he used the trickery to beat man and get the right to oppress the fallen man, but the resurrected man in Christ Jesus has now being taken back and even higher to the status of the pre-fall man in dominion. So the devil has gone to back to basics by using the same trickery to get to the resurrected man. THAT’S THE REAL WARFARE. THAT WAS WHAT GAVE PAUL CONCERN. 2 COR 11:3
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ”
The bible described the devil (king of Tyrus) has created by God, FULL OF WISDOM (Ezekiel 28:12-17).

That’s why one of his biggest weapons is fear. He gives someone a scare in dreams like Job (job 7:13-14), then fear enters the believer and the devil uses this portal to send in his other demon agents and it happens (Job 3:25). What a simple rebuke of the devil will stop, people start reading funny meanings like spirit husband and wife etc. (I’m not saying these aren’t the problem sometimes) and start a prayer of unbelief thinking that’s warfare prayer. DON’T BE TOO HASTY TO LABEL A DREAM AN OPPRESSION OF THE DEVIL, MOST TIMES IT’S JUST HIS SCARE TACTICS.
The devil will try to use OUR IGNORANCE, guilt of past sins, besetting sins, culture, superstitions, wrong doctrine, friends, family, even brethren in the faith indirectly as weapons of his trickery.
Most times the actual problem may even arise because we don’t control our flesh and carnal thoughts and he capitalizes on this. He often tries to get me in particular by either being too busy with my Job or too busy trying to help others instead of watching my own standing and daily communion with God.
THAT’S WHY BEING SPIRITUAL BATTLE READY IS FAR MORE RELEVANT THAN THE ACTUAL WARFARE, WE OUGHT TO BE MORE FOCUSED PUTTING ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD (EPHESIANS 6: 11-17), YOU DON’T GO ABOUT PRESCRIBING OR RUSHING WARFARE PRAYER’S ON EVERY SMALL ISSUE(EPHESIANS 6:18) IGNORING PAUL’S INSTRUCTION TO CHECK YOUR BODY ARMOUR. THAT’S WHY PEOPLE PRAY AND PRAY AND GET NO RESULT AND SOME PEOPLE CONFRONT THE DEVIL AND GET RESULTS QUICKLY. THE HELMET OF SALVATION, BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD, YOUT BELT OF TRUTH IS ALSO THE WORD OF GOD. THE SHIELD OF FAITH WHICH PRIMARILY COMES FROM THE WORD OF GOD, THE FEET SHOD IN PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL WHICH IS ALSO THE WORD OF GOD. THESE ARE VITAL, YOU CAN SEE HOW ADEQUATE SPIRITUAL PREPARATION IN LIVING READY IS MORE IMPORTANT. A VERY ANOINTED MENTOR OF MINE (BISHOP ABIOYE) ONCE SHOCKED ME WITH THIS REVELATION THAT HE PRAYS MORE ABOUT HIS SANCTIFICATION THAN ANY THING ELSE EVEN EMPOWERMENT, BECAUSE ONE COMES BEFORE THE OTHER, AND THAT’S THE TRUTH. CHRISTIANS ARE TOO BUSY WORKING FOR GOD FIGHTING THE DEVIL THAN CHECKING OUT THEIR WALK WITH GOD. IN FACT MOST THINGS WE ATTRIBUTE TO DEMONS ARE ACTUALLY PRODUCT OF OUR OWN SPIRITUAL IGNORANCE. IT’S REVELATION KNOWLEDGE THAT DELIVERS MOST TIMES AND NOT WARFARE PRAYERS. BECAUSE WHEN WE KNOW THE TRUTH, THE TRUTH SETS US FREE. I GOT A REVELATION ON DIVINE HEALTH FROM ROMANS 8:11 AND TILL DATE, I HAVE NEVER HAD TO PRAY ABOUT ANY SICKNESS EVEN HEADACHE FOR ABOUT 2 YRS NOW. MAYBE IF WE PRAYED MORE ON BEING FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL IN ALL SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, PRAY FOR DIVINE GUIDANCE MORE, PRAY MORE ABOUT OUR SANCTIFICATION, STUDY MORE, SUBDUE THE FLESH MORE, WE WILL HAVE LESS WARFARE TO DEAL WITH AND WHEN WE DO, WE SUCCEED WITH FLYING COLORS. THAT’S JUST MY LINE OF REASON.

I will like to add that there are some things you can’t pray into, you just have to get the necessary scriptural principle and operate it. God is a covenant keeping God, when we play our part, he plays his part. FOR EXAMPLE, YOU CAN’T PRAY AND BIND YOUR WAY INTO KINGDOM PROSPERITY, YOU JUST HAVE TO DISCOVER THE BIBLICAL SECRETS TO IT AND APPLY IT IN FAITH AND THE DEVIL BECOMES POWERLESS TO STOP YOU.
SPIRITUAL ILLUMINATION IS MORE KEY FOLKS, FOR EXAMPLE IF A SOMEONE IS HAVING MARITAL DELAY, INSTEAD OF TELLING THE PERSON TO GO AND FAST FOR 7 DAYS AND BIND ALL THE IMAGINARY DEVIL AND WITCHES. THOSE TRUTHS ALONE DISARM THE DEVIL. AND IF THE HOLY SPIRIT THEN REVEALS THAT THERE IS AN EVIL ENTITY BEHIND IT, WE THEN DEAL WITH IT. MINISTERS SHOULD NOT BE PRESUMPTUOUS AND TRY TO DO WITH WARFARE PRAYERS WHAT THE WORD IS MEANT TO DO OR ELSE THEY BECOME APOSTLES OF FEAR.

Why warfare prayers shouldn’t be the mainstay of a believer’s prayer life part 1?

I felt compelled to write this piece here to put some things in their correct perspective and help those who may not have much depth in God’s word yet that visit this forum regularly. I want to add that with all sense of humility that I am just a learner in this kingdom (less than 2yrs in the faith) so maybe some of what I am saying may be from ignorance and I’m open to corrections.

I’ve noticed a dangerous trend where warfare prayers is embraced in excess in churches nowadays. It’s also common that we prescribe it a lot for people that make enquiries on every little challenge, dreams or nightmare. I find this disturbing because having studied the bible a little, the lifestyle of many giants in the faith and anointed books on prayer of men with proofs of dominion like Kenneth Hagin, Bishop Oyedepo, I have realized surprisingly that warfare prayer should be the least on the prayer list on a Christian. Shocking right? Here are my reasons:
From Ephesians 6:18, we are made to understand that there are different kinds of prayer. And we ought to learn how to engage all of them as the spirit leads per time, we are not to be fixated on only one kind of prayer. The whole world lies in wickedness (1 John 5:19) and we have to fight battles from time to time. But the reason why MANY CHRISTAINS ARE DEFEATED IN BATTLE IS BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO FIXATED ABOUT THE BATTLES THAN MAKING THEMSELVES BATTLE READY ALL THE TIME. IT’S JUST LIKE USAIN BOLT BEING OBSESSED ABOUT ONLY THE OLYMPICS 100 M FINAL (WHERE THE WARFARE PRAYER IS NEEDED) AND NOT TAKING THE DAY TO DAY TRAINING AND DIETING SERIOUS (WORD AND OTHER KINDS OF PRAYER). HE WILL FAIL WOEFUL. WHY? “If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small” (proverbs 24:10) The focus of a believer should not be about binding every imaginary devil. IT SHOULD BE ABOUT CHANGING HIS LEVEL OF COMMAND AND SPIRITUAL STRENGTH FIRST. DON’T BE WARFARE CONSCIOUS, BE GOD CONSCIOUS, BE RIGHTEOUSNESS CONSCIOUS, BE POWER CONSCIOUS, BE REVELATION CONSCIOUS, BE WORD CONSCIOUS. KNOW WHO THE WORD OF GOD SAYS YOU ARE FIRST, BUILD YOUR FAITH, BUILD POWER FIRST OR WARFARE PRAYERS WILL BE FRUSTATING. MAKE YOUR AXE SHARP FIRST AND THEN YOU CUT THE TREE WITH ONE STRIKE.
Warfare prayers are weapons of offense but they are only effective in the hands of people who are skilled (Heb 5:14). That’s why by mere appearance of one person all the demons have taken to their heels while, another person has shouted in Jesus name 100 times and use 10 buckets of anointing oil and yet the demon is just there chilling..lol . Every born again Christian is a light (matt 5:13 and 14) but the level of brightness differs. We should be more focused about increasing our intensity by being more like Christ in holiness and dominion. Most times the devil attacks me, I do less of warfare prayers, instead I search myself to see the loopholes I left, I repent of them and sanctify myself, I study and pray to change my level of command and for revelation on what I must do and that’s it. There is an extent of power you carry, some demons don’t come near you.

STUDY THE NEW TESTAMENT WELL, YOU WON’T SEE THE APOSTLES STRUGLING AND WAILING BECAUSE OF TINY DEMONS EXCEPT ONLY ONCE IN MATTHEW 17:21 BECAUSE THEIR LEVEL OF COMMAND WAS LOW THEN. IT’S NOT FOUND ANYWHERE IN THE NEW TESTAMENT WHERE WARFARE PRAYERS WAS THEIR FOCUS. RATHER YOU WILL FIND PRAYERS ABOUT BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, WITH WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, PRAYER FOR THE SPREAD OF THE GOSPEL, PRAYER FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW CONVERTS, PRAYER FOR LEADERS, PRAYER FOR SANCTIFICATION, PRAYERS FOR OUTBREAK OF SIGNS AND WONDERS, PRAYERS FOR DIVINE GUIDANCE.

As I round up this first part, I WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT ON THE DAY OF BATTLE, “YOU DON’T WARFARE WITH THE DEVIL” THAT’S A BLATANT MISNOMER AND THAT MENTALITY IS A SNARE, IF YOU WARFARE WITH HIM HE WILL BE BEAT YOU. WHAT WE DO IS TO “EXERCISE AUTHORITY”. YOU TELL HIM “ SATAN STOP THERE “ AND HE STOPS, YOU TELL HIM “SATAN GET LOST” AND HE GETS LOST, YOU TELL HIM SHUT UP AND HE SHUTS UP. YOU DON’T FIGHT HIM LOL, IN BOXING YOU ONLY FIGHT SOMEONE OF YOUR WEIGHT CATEGORY. NO! YOU DON’T, YOU ARE NOT HIS WEIGHT CATEGORY, YOU ARE CARRYING JESUS’S WEIGHT CATEGORY. WHY? BECAUSE YOU MUST HAVE BUILT AUTHORITY IN GOD’S WORD AND IN PRAYER. THE DEVIL IS TOO SMALL TO BE THE FOCUS OF YOUR PRAYER LIFE, THAT YOU NOW GO ON PRAYER AND FASTING BECAUSE OF HIM ALL THE TIME. GOD AND HIS KINGDOM SHOULD BE THE FOCUS (MATT 6:33) AND AS YOU DO, YOU BECOME MORE LIKE HIM. I REMEMBER THE LAST TIME ONE TINY DEMON ATTACKED ME, I WOKE TO SEE HE HAD HELD ME DOWN. THE MORE I STRUGGLED, THE MORE IT OVERPOWERED ME. THEN I WAS LIKE GOD WHATS HAPPENING KE? A SMALL VOICE SPOKE FROM WITHIN “DON’T OVERESTIMATE THE ENEMY”. I JUST RELAXED AND BEFORE I MENTIONED IN JESUS NAME ONCE LMAO. JUST IMAGINE THE REST...LOL…

IN PART 2, BY GOD’S GRACE I WILL EXPLAIN EPHESIANS 6: 12 TO VERSE 18. WARFARE PRAYER IS NEEDED BUT IT’S MUST NEVER GET TO WHERE WE ARE INDIRECTLY IDOLISING THE DEVIL BY EVEN REVERING THE DEVIL INSTEAD OF GOD….. THANKS

Am a strong christian, maybe not too strong as you guys but a Christian nonetheless. Am not particularly interested in the book because of the magic and stuff but cos it's a good literature and I was reading it for entertainment. I stopped reading it like a year ago, but most times I just feel the interest creeping in again.

What made me ask this question is that I discovered that anytime I read this book, when I sleep and wake up I would start hearing voices quoting some words from the book and it would be as if i was going mad. So when I saw that website in the internet, I quickly stopped it.
