cutelass: We renewed our visa almost at the last quarter of last year. Initial visa was issued for childbirth, had two babies with it. It was the perfect profile for 221g. God showed us mercy. Passport was back in about 3 weeks. Fast forward to weeks ago, Orlando POE. Hubby, I, 2 kids. From what I've read from here, I didn't try to go to the queue for citizens, joined the visitors queue. An Indian couple with a USC baby was told by a cbp officer to join the visitors queue. From the queue I could see a man who was being attended to by a female cbp officer, laughing and being very friendly with her and I said to myself, dem go send this one to secondary...I just felt she would think he was trying to hide something by being overtly friendly. She sent him to secondary.
Cbp: addressing my husband 'where are you coming from' Hubby: Dubai Cbp: I mean where are you coming from (he wasn't friendly at all). Hubby: Nigeria Cbp: Where exactly are you coming from (almost hostile at this point). I felt he was asking for the actual city in Nigeria...all the while, the cbp officers behind who take people to secondary inspection was signalling him, one had stepped forward a bit. Hubby: oh we live in so and so but took off from Abuja. Actually we were supposed to be here for Christmas but I had a tight schedule so we decided to squeeze in some days. We are only here for 3 days and them then we leave to Houston, few days there and we return back to Nigeria. (I don't know if it's what he said or something but the cbp became very relaxed). One the other guys signalled to him like 'should I come and take them' he waved and said something like I've got it. He stood up to see the kids and stamped us all in. Nothing was asked as per the receipts for the birth etc...it was a short but enjoyable trip anf we are back. Please can you post your renewal transcript pls |

Leez29: Hello Mommas , hope everyone is doing fine. My trip went on quite smoothly - came in through JFK from Lagos with airfrance . Then took Delta flight to Elpaso through Atlanta, it was quite a tirey journey but glad I went through JFK . My visa had expired but I dint do Dropbox as I saw from this thread that most people got called for interview so I quietly donated myself for a fresh interview without dropbox to save time and stories . Using Doctoresparati letter (same I used in 2015 when I had my son) I applied with my sister (since am going with my son and will need help) but she was rejected. So I was scarred to apply for my mum cos of someones experience here as well. My mum's visa was approved no much question only asked why she was going , my visa page, how many kids and grandkids she had. When we got to JFK, I showed the officers my son America passport and she asked I join the citizen line and go ahead to do the self machine stuff. I stayed on the line for five mins and the officer asked me only one question - how long are you here for and I told him 3months and he stamped me and said have a nice stay . That was it , no agriculture though I had few food items and had a little below $10k as I dint want to waste time declaring. I bless God for His favor cos we were treated like we just came back to our country. No hassles , no questions , nothing . Am in Elpaso now in a very comfy accomodation I secured through airbnb - Sorry for my long writeup. I wish everyone going for interview and those who have gotten visa a safe trip and safe delivery for all of us. May God grant us favor and above all Wisdom in making any decision. Pls we’re u asked about discount |

JMarines: Amen. He requested for all bills from previous delivery, bank statement, Doctor’s correspondence, budget sheet, prepayment receipt, etc. I’m not sure I am allowed to post that here but an itemized bill is a detailed billing ledger that a provider can give you, which lists all of the services you received during the visit, and includes the procedure and diagnosis, etc. Are u currently pregnant and trying to renew |

JMarines: I pray I get by his grace. It is still undergoing administrative processing. Yes, I attended my interview. Every document you can think of was requested. The VO said he needed to see the charges from the hospital. It seems the discount given from the hospital is raising an eyebrow. Please can you post your transcript so we learn |

jennymee: Hellooooo... we all know that Canada is not like the US where you can clearly indicate purpose of travel and because there is actually no place in the application where you indicate birthing as reason for visit. I will eventually declare at POE because pregnancy can not be hidden. I am not complicating issues for anyone! If you are comfortable to indicate purpose of visit as birth, please go ahead other wise follow your heart. More reason I don't like to comment on public forum. Abeg it's a Friday let me enjoy the weekend in peace. Please my dear I sent you an email, biko check, thank u |

goldee29: Good morning,
Our visa wasn't renewed after our 221g interview because the VO wasn't convinced of what my husband spent 6 months doing in the US during his last trip. This affected me as it was a joint application, he however mentioned that we can reapply.
I have tried applying alone but date is after 6 months due to the initial refusal.
My question is Can I schedule the available date and then request for a rescheduled or expedite appointment on medical basis. My ds160 form request is for B2 visa.
Your suggestions will greatly help me as I need to travel by 1st week in March based on Dr advise cos of high risk pregnancy.
Thank you for your help. Pls sis post your transcript |

fehinebony: In my opinion I think the refusal lately is deliberate. My husband was called for a 221g follow up interview in November 2017. The VO asked why he was in the US 3months, he told the VO he was there to support me while we were expecting our 2nd baby, No document was asked for and he was refused. We then agreed to wait for 6month so he could go again. After I saw afrobrown2000’s post about his wife’s visa interview, I encouraged my husband to try again and he got his visa after a 20mins vigorous interview session ( this was in February 2018) he registered his displeasure about the 221g interview and asked the VO if it was crime to give birth in the USA and she said it wasn’t, she then asked for the bills and other documents relating to his job/business... fast forward to my 221g interview in October, I was refused based on my itemized bill, the same bill my husband presented in February. The VO inferred that I must have benefited from some government aid because the discount I got was outrageous($9k)She mentioned she paid $21k when she had her child and that there is no where in America that the hospital bill will be cheaper than that. I Insisted I paid what the hospital quoted, showed her a corresponding email that indicated the price prior to delivery but she said the hospital did not know what they where doing. She asked me to explain why I was given so much discount, I told her because I paid upfront but she was not satisfied ......I was given the blue paper(continued In the next post) Pls ma complete the story, so we can learn |
